Not much except this line: "Something's going to happen in the middle of season 3 that blows the doors off the show again," he says. "You'll look at [the Penny scene] again and say 'Sixty percent of what I thought I saw was dead-on, but the other 40 percent I never even considered!'"
Lets have your guesses people....

They like screwing with our heads. They find enjoyment is tormenting us.
/Patiently waits for S3
One more:
One could look at it and say: That's awfully contrived that the Ohter kidnapped the primary love triangle, says Lindelof, Another way of looking at it is that it's not contrived at all--in fact, it's intentional.
That's just plain weird. Maybe even more of the whole 'the others know very much about the losties?'
I think that the shark-jumping moment is that we learn the earth is in an ice age or maybe a global pandemic of sorts. Might explain the Artic Station sequence.
doesn't this pretty much give it away that it will be something with time where the islands moving faster or something stupid like that?
Well, that's pretty much been confirmed that time moves differently.
But, an ice age or global pandemic would be freakishly awesome.
We all assume that Penny is miles away in her home when she receieves the phone call. What if she is on the Island or somewhere in the Ice Station complex?
They say that it will be big, so I think that it will be something really big. I don't know what yet. I could guess that maybe they are not in the pacfic after all, but in some sort of biosphere similiar to biosphere II. Maybe the others are the scientists that were stuck there, and went mad? Just a thought....
or that_ cristian jacks father, is him, asks jack to join the others, so he does, then jack finds out that claire is his sister, and locke looks at charlie stares at him, then charlie dies. youll see, youll all see. mwahahahha
I don't have a user name here but I use Greeneyespy on abc or Fuslage
I SAY THE GUY PENNY WAS SUPPOSED TO MARRY WAS THE SAME GUY THAT THE MATCH MAKER SET SUN UP WITH..THE ONE THAT TAUGHT HER ENGLISH
Well, that's pretty much been confirmed that time moves differently.
If that is the case then why wasn't Desmond surprised to discover that the plane crashed on September 22, 2004? One imagines that he knew when he crashed and how long he had been on the island.
Take a look at the Wikipedia article on the Big Dipper. This reports that it is predicted that with "star drift" the Big Dipper will appear reversed in about 50,000 years. My opinion is that Flight 815 went through some sort of "time tunnel" to 50,000 years in the future.
There are some serious problems with the crash timeline. Evidence indicates that Flight 815 was scheduled to depart Sydney at 2:15 PM (14:15), that they flew northeast for 6 hours (8:15PM Sydney time) then west for two hours (10:15PM Sydney time) and probably ended up about two times zones east (12:15AM island time). The Pearl station computer printout seems to indicate a 4:16 (if I recall correctly) crash time. It was clearly broad daylight when Jack awoke.
Something is rotten in Denmark.
Between this quote and the one that Jake3988 posted, I definitely think that the Ice Age theory is a possibility. If the passage of time is different for the island, maybe we'll come to learn through the Lost Experience (or "present day" flashbacks) that The Hanso Foundation was responsible for a global pandemic. I think the "other 40 percent" you don't consider from that Penny scene might be the fact that it's snowing and they're speaking Portuguese in the Brazillian dialect - maybe they're actually in Brazil, but this ice storm is what the world has become (and Max Power is probably correct that Penny is in the Research Station with them; perhaps Widmore's connection to Hanso gave her advance warning of the pandemic and she was able to get to a safe place). The Others could be former members of Hanso who have rebelled and are now trying to save humanity. Maybe this is the reason for the capturing of the love triangle and the fact that people keep getting killed off after having sex; the Others might be very selective of who they want to breed with whom. They may be gathering genetic info from Walt, Claire's baby, and other island inhabitants to determine how to create the ultimate human specimins to use to repopulate the Earth. That'd be a definite reason why they would consider themselves "the good guys." Also a reason why Jack would want to join them - he struggles for every opportunity to help save a person, so helping to save all of humanity? He'd jump on that chance in a second.
I cannot wait to find out why Matthew Fox is playing one of the 2 guys in that Ice station speaking another language. They obviously could have gotten an extra or anyone else to play this role - Why Fox? He is wearing glasses and possibly has a fake nose on but it is for sure matthew Fox. Is this supposed to be Jack's brother or Twin or something?? I hope this is explained because its driving me nuts.
I tis not Matthew Fox. If you go to the Lost Answers part of the site you will see who plays the character.
"You'll look at [the Penny scene] again and say 'Sixty percent of what I thought I saw was dead-on, but the other 40 percent I never even considered!'"
What they mean in this quote is that...Penny did find that the island was exposed for a few moments....but what we never considered is that maybe Penny's the very head of the "Others." She might be the one who's behind everything. Her last name is Widmore, and there are Widmore Labs items on the island like the pregnancy tests and the hot air balloon. So, instead of being happy about finding the location of the electromagnetism, Penny is really not that pleased.
I read somewhere that time on the island advances quicker than off the island. The moment where Penny gets the news from the Portuguese dude is the current time, but that is only a week after the plane crash...
Episode 5 is called the cost of living. The Others give Jack an ultimatum, he kills Eko joining the others thus his cost of living.
Jack joining the Others is the jumping the shark moment.
Dealing with Global warming and end of the world ,eh?
This show is getting bigger than it already is.And season three is gonna take that even further. So,I say it once again,It's impossible to accurately predict this show. So,stop and just be patient and wait for the surprises ,instead of screwing with your head.No one can possibly know what's gonna happen. You should already know that when the second season ended.
Sure it has a lot of religious references and all.But it's first and foremost a sci-fi show. And it's best that way.And the Purgetory theory was pathetic.I disagreed with it from the very beginning. And it came clear in the season 2 finale.
if there is something screwy with the time and there is a global pandemic...how does that affect what ben told jack about the red sox winning the series, bush being re-elected, etc...???
So... looking back on this spoiler, I would have to guess that maybe the episode in question was "Flashes Before Your Eyes." ?
Or maybe was the flash foward from the S3 Finale orignially intended to happen earlier ?
