I am pretty sure that it is Karl. The hands doesn´t look like a woman hands, so I don´t think that is Naomi.
Look to Karl´s clothes in the promo pics.... it is him.
Its a production crew member they didn't digitally remove because of the strike and Damon not being able to work in post production.... :)
That person is white, so it's not Naomi. I would have said Charlotte but it looks like she has black hair. Maybe it's Charlotte with a bandana.

If you look closer you can see a sweatshirt tied around the waist, just like Naomi before she got shivved in the back. Probably the reason why Russel and Arthur are freaking out next to her.

Im just surprised how many "it's Naomi" votes seem to be out there...the one thing I do find is weird is that in the guest appearences list Marsha Thomason as Naomi appears quite often... I do find that odd..But with the picture and the Movie Trailer I would bet its Rebecca Mader as Charlotte
It's a tough one. It's either Charlotte (the girl Locke bends over) or Naomi and that redness is just a trick of the light - those are the only two it could be IMO.
Also I see some think Naomi is dead - watch the trailer very closely.
Well Jamie, a knife to the back of the neck tends to do that...but again on this Island, anything can happen :) hehhehehe and I do have to watch the trailer again...along with the credit list...interesting...

Her sweatband (or what's the word);
Her jumper fastened on her hips;
Skin is lighter because of the illumination - as you see sun shines towards her face;
She is not left dead by the radio tower – we've seen her in a trailer near Kate (grabbing her or beeing supported by her, who knows);
I have not seen other arguments it not to be her.

ahhh I see...Thanks Jamie! And she survived a lung punture too so i knife in the back would be childs play for her. That would make alot of sense and that picture you have the link too is 99 percent the person lying on the ground...now I am leaning towards Naomi...

I'm liking the look of scraggly beardy man's character so far from the promo stills.... looks like a Lost version of Shaggy from Scooby Do.
They've managed to photograph him in some very flamboyant poses so far! I hope his acting gamut runs beyond 'comedy surprised'.

heres the IMDB for Jeremy Davies...also he does appear to look like Shaggy..(but havent we all at some point in our lives..espeiclly during College) but I dont see him being a comedy foil like Hurley or Charlie...usually he plays nervous quiet introverted charaters that have an underlying danger behind them..He played Charles Manson in the remake of Helter Skelter for instance :)

Jack: The actress who plays is mixed race and has lighter skin.
Her face is bathed in sunlight, she's going seem lighter of skin than she normally would.

Okay, another thing. What exactly are these people dressed in preparation for? Davies is wearing some post-hipster clothes, and Leung in performance fleece. Not exactly tropical isle accoutrement. I think we can glean some meaning by that alone as far as what they know about the "Island" vs. what the freighter people know, if that is what they are on.

I reckon he never intended to be dropped on the island, maybe the same for Fahey's character? Leung looks the part, but maybe he's the heli pilot?

Crikey, I wondered that myself. Davies must be management, while Leung is a worker bee like Naomi. Jeff Fahey dressed the part with the tropical shirt.
Leung reminds me of Jack Bauer in with his wardrobe.
It could be a production issue, like how they never show any of the main male characters in shorts (except maybe for Hurley & Artz) because people look better on TV with pants -- but I don't think so.

He's not. He's lowering his weapon as well. My guess is, someone off screen has a gun to both of them, and has asked them to put down their arms. If it was Ken L., he'd have the gun pointed at Jeremy D., that's what I'd hazard.

there is a pic of Charlotte laying on the ground and a comment:
"In an interview Rebecca Mader said she couldn't tell she was either Dharma or a Freighter. However she revealed that she was on the island. She had been filming a scene in the jungle where she was lying on her back, looking up at some of the main characters."
If you enlarge the photo it looks like she has a gray shirt on, maybe we are all assuming that the person is dead?

regardless of light content in the woods, her skin was darker when they were out in the open.
I would imagine that a clearing has considerably less shade than a jungle.
It's most likely Jeff Fahey's character because they are wearing the same pants.
Also, Naomi's shirt is dark grey, not light grey. So unless they changed her clothes after she went down, I'm gonna continue to say that it isn't Naomi.
Simple things such as a mild change in someones shirt is usually overlooked and if caught, can always be blamed on the fact that they're STRANDED ON AN ISLAND.

I agree that it is probably Rebecca Mader's character. We know that she had a scene where she was lying down in the jungle looking at everyone and it seems plausible that one of the freighters would be injured somehow by the manner in which they arrive on the island. After all, we know that something goes wrong because Jeff Fahey's character is also injured.
It's Naomi......and Jacob, are you blessed with some optical ability that's able to discern very miniscule qualities of a color? The headband is one clue I think it's Naomi, plus the BOOBS....can't be a man unless it's a man like "Bob" from Fight Club.....

Click on the second picture to enlarge it,you'll clearly see there's aomething around her forehead and that there are shirt sleeves...and for the record you might want to have more valid proof before calling us dumb.
let´s say for a moment that it is Rebecca Maders character.
The freighters and team Jack miss her and after they leave there is a zoom in reveal of her lying there.
Later team Locke come by and find her.
Thus even the freighters are split up on the two teams.
Please don´t laugh if you find this idea stupid.

But more visible - THE PANTS ARE DIFFERENT! On this picture they don't look as tight as the ones Naomi wore in TTLG, and in TTLG they were BLACK!

@ahrean: why would I have to provide anything? Again, Naomis clothes are in the picture i posted darker, especially the pants, and they're different kind of pants too. Just look at it and see. Are you really telling me it's the same pants??

Jake, it's either naomi or charlotte. That being said, now you're an expert on hand size? Why does it bug you that a lot of people think it's naomi? And the reason I found it interesting you had no theory on who it could be is that it meant you're either very stubborn, have no idea who it could be or you just like 2 debate and really like 2 b right. Either way, we're not blind just because we disagree w/ you...and it's rude 2 say so. That's what I think.
I didn't say you're blind because you don't agree with me, it just doesn't look like a black person. And you don't need to be an expert to see by the size and shape of a hand if it's a male or a female. Sheesh. My hands are very masculine, but I'm definitely a chick. So no, you can't tell by the hands. And naomi might be part black, but she's not all black.
Well, she's definitely darker than the corpse in the picture... but the lighting and stuff must have messed up the colours in the pic - everything on her looks lighter.
As for the hands... you must be one of the exceptions that confirm the rule. :P
