Thanks to our roving reporter Ryan for another excellent update. Will we be seeing how the Nigerian Plan carrying Eko's brother Yemmi crash on the Island?
The “LOST” production crew returned to the North Shore of Oahu this afternoon, setting up near Waimea Falls mauka of Waimea Bay.
Access to the park was shut down at 6 p.m., suggesting a night shoot among the thick trees and brush. And one intriguing prop was spotted behind the trailers and equipment: the overturned fuselage of a small Cessna-sized plane. It was described as old and rusty, and the coloring seemed reminiscent of the Nigerian drug plane of seasons past. But it was “definitely smaller.”
Will we be seeing another backstory of a disastrous island arrival? And if so, whose?

I think it'll be the dude in all the orientation videos. He had to get on the island somehow, and I doubt it was as boring as simply being a standard employee being brought there with all the rest...
Him or it's the De Groots discovering the island. Probably the latter, to be fair, now I think about it...
I'm assuming that Mile's ability to speak to the dead is going to be used to answer some of the Island's mysteries (or why else did they give him this ability?) Using Miles allows us to have 'flashbacks' that don't involve living people and us to go back to the more distant past. Perhaps this plane is how "Adam and Eve' arrived on the Island.
Why can't it be the Oceanic 6?
I guess the 06 have to get back there too eh? ;) Personally, I love new references to old stories so a Yemi connection would be cool. But I can't imagine how it might be relevant at this point.
Interesting how there may be a focus on the debris the island has picked up over the years. First the Black Rock, now possibly Yemi's plane. All we need now is a filming report featuring a balloon and one Henry Gale.

I love all these going to back to old stuff and mysteries.For 4 seasons lots of lost fans have been saying answer the questions etc and now that they are are ie black rock, drug plane, etc some fans are complaing about it not being relevant anymore.
i would love them to answer as many questions as possible!
Well if its the Yemi plane couldnt it just mean we are going to see it on the ground all burnt up? (Which would go with Ryans description.) So possibly we will be seeing a scene at the pearl station. I dont think it will be a new plane crashing on the island, theyve already had two at this point.

That plane might belong to "Amelia", Juliet's friend among the Others ?

So... does that prop look like that image as well ?
What about Amelia Earhart's plane (an Lockheed L10 Electra) that disappeared at the 2nd of Juli in Year 1937? It vanished closed to the Gardner Island or near the coordinates "4.815 162.342"! That would be great. And "Adam" and "Eve" would be "Amelia" and her flight navigator "Fred Noonan". One of the worlds biggest mysteries discovered on Lost? But I thing that's to weird. That's why it's probably just the Island in the past. So of course we have to see a beechcraft crashing on the island, also like a balloon with passenger Henry Gale. Can't wait to see whatever may come!
Oh It took me so long to write that post that "Greg Dean" got the same Idea. But nice to see that's not just me going to far from the possible. And I have to learn writing faster! :)
Maybe the reason why it seems smaller than Yemi's plane is because the island and it's inhabitants were bigger in the past...certainly would explain the foot statue!!!

I agree with Polly- If anything perhaps our friend Miles will help fill in some of the missing pieces around the island.

It's a good possibility. Most stations we've only seen once, if we're doing Dharma stuff this season I imagine a trip back to some of them is in order.
Of course, I'd rather leave them untouched unless there's a REALLY good reason for the show to go back there.
I think they will show us the people that arrive on the island beofre... like de Black Rock, the Rousseau time, the Yemi's Plan and the Henry Gale ont he balloon.

it looks like Yemi's plane. There is some yellow color on it and it looks overturned the same way from when Boone made it fall.
The photo is consistent with Yemi's plane and where it came to rest. Notice the backdrop.
