I think multiple timelines could be interpreted different ways. We've seen multiple timelines in the show before. Flashbacks, flashforwards, and regular time. All different time lines.
No, flashbacks and flashforwards are not multiple timelines. They are flashes to what has happened already and what will happen in the future.
We'll be viewing events as they are happening in the present and past. All the spoilers pretty much confirm this.
Can't see the video.
What he said about Season 5 , apart multiple timelines?
at work and cant watch it. can anyone say what they said for us losers who have to work?
Wow, I had a little nostalgic moment there while listening to Yunjin and Daniel talk about the series winding down. And it's not even over yet. I want to know the answers so bad, but not at the cost of the show being over. :(
Yea, I just think Dae Kim was saying there's a lot of story being told from different points of view. Not multiple timelines running concurrent.
How many timelines are we going to have?
1) Island
2) Locke off-island/Bearded Jack
3) O6/Ben/Bentham trying to get back
?4? Faraday (I know he was seen with the Left Behinders, but maybe when we see what happened to him it's in another time)
Yunjin Kim: My characters' been isolated, on her own and she's scheming up all kinds of things. It's really interesting. You really get to see a new side of Sun, something that you've never seen before.
Daniel Dae Kim: I can tell you that the Oceanic six is going to be trying to get back to the island. I can tell you that there is a lot of action. I can also tell you that there are a lot of different timelines going on.
I take it they were shooting Promo stills for Sun and Jin whilst they were doing this interview, and not scenes for season 5....
Nothing much LostInCanada. Dae Kim says there's a lot of action in S5 and several timelines. He also says his favorite season is still S1 because of the actors and characters getting to know each other and trying to figure out what the island is. Yunjin says we're going to see a side of Sun we've never seen. Sun has been isolated and is doing a lot of 'scheming'. <-- I thought that line was pretty interesting.
Not much else, unless I'm forgetting.
thanks!
i agree with thirty-fiver its probably multiple time periods where characters are not multiple alternate timelines
I think you're right too. How we understand multiple timelines isn't necessarily how Dan interprets it, not being one of the writers.
Daniel sounds a lot different for some reason. I guess I just haven't heard him speak in a long while, lol. I'm betting the multiple timelines don't really mean exactly that, but it's definitely a possibility.
Perhaps the Island has become unstable and the survivors are subject to more than one time shift. One moment they are in one time frame the next they are shifted another ten, twenty or even a hundred years. This would lead to several time lines.
It's good to hear the words coming from Yunjin Kim's mouth. It is good to appreciate the ending of the show, because she has realized she has built a legacy, that will never be forgotten.
I can't help but think I'll remember this show 50 years from now.
wow, yunjin is so pretty. those shots of daniel and yunjin goofing around on that beautiful beach remind me of the end of Atonement. *tear* i hope sun and jin can be reunited before all is said and done.
