Great pic. They are pretty folk aren't they?! Not having any "gasms" of any sort over it though. It does say something that promo pics are being released of them specifically. It means a relationship is being built between the two...not saying a sexual one necessarily.. but that there is going to be something there. They would make interesting leaders. I could see them bickering a lot. Kind of a snarky back and forth between them with some chemistry underneath. Or maybe I've been watching way too much "Bones."

I expect those two will have a few sparks flying and I doubt any of it will be the romantic kind. They both have very different styles...you could see that in action before the fight on the beach.
Sawyer is bull headed and fairly straight forward...but quite willing to be the charming liar if its neccessary.
Juliet is soft spoken and always evaluating. But she holds her secrets tight.
They could make a good team as they cover each other's weaknesses.

I don't understand why people don't see chemistry between these two, I sure do, personality wise, they are perfect, as they say, opposites attract, whether it leads to something romantic, that remains to be seen, me guess it will. To me the writers started use down that road in S3, when they went back to the beach to help Sayid, jin and Bernard.

Dragging her back into the triangle of doom wouldn't neccessarilly ruin her character. Dragging Juliet back into it only to get dumped for Kate or having her end the relationship because she knows she's second choice to Kate again would ruin her and turn her character into nothing more than a Kate prop. That's why I hope Suliet won't happen. It would show that TPTB have at least a little bit of respect left for Juliet's character and by extension the actress who plays her.
Well I've always like Sawyer and for that reason I've always supported Skate plus the fact that I don't like the Jack character. However I don't like Kate much either, not the way she treats Sawyer anyway, she knows he loves her and she's just uses him, which doesn't say much for her character. Sawyer and Juliet do have a lot of chemistry and who's to say they won't realize that Jack and Kate were not the final choice for them. Although the writers seem to want to keep Sawyer worshipping at the Kate shrine and anyway Kate's not there so why not. There was good chemistry between Sawyer and Juliet in Series 3 in the scene where she gives him the water and he pours it out, lots of crackling sexual tension so I think they could be good. I'd be happy to see some Sawyer/Juliet sexual tension anyway.
oh so this really is a season 5 pic - when I saw the promo I just assumed they were using a pic from Through the Looking glass when Juliet and Sawyer are getting ready to storm the beach - before hurley saves the day with the dharma van.
Does anyone know if a preair of lost has ever leaked since the pilot? I'm going through such major Lost withdrawl and since the episode is prolly finished by now it would be really nice to find a preair torrent.
blight I totally agree - I think both Sawyer and Jack are way to good for Kate - One of the two need to take advanatge of Juliet - or find some ladies with more class. The way kate slept with Sawyer in season 3 just because she saw Jack and Juliet eating dinner together kind of pissed me off - Sawyer deserves better - not just to be used because Kate has low self esteem.
I really don't care who Kate ends up with, like I said I believe Sawyer and Jack both deserve better. Sawyer was really nice to Kate towards the end of season 2 and on - and she just treats him like a bitch - which makes me feel sorry for him. I think after all the attention Sawyer gave Kate she should have jumped off the chopper right after Sawyer - and waited to be rescued together -
But I guess if she agreed to Marry Jack we know where her heart is - after all she could have been trying to find the Island like Jack was if she wanted to get back to Sawyer - I'm just glad Jack told her off in 4.10 - "Your Not Even Related to Him!" (it is to bad Aaron had to hear that though) - hopefully preventing that Marriage from ever happening.
Like I said, the triangle is stupid, and lets hope my two favorite hero's find better ladies.
Yay! I can't wait for all the Sawyer/Juliet interaction in season 5. I love them both. They are so gonna kick some butt on the island.

I'm not a shipper whatsoever, but I think it would make a nice plot device (am I using the right word? :P) if Sawyer and Juliet became an item. With some very bad things happening on the island, it would make it that much more exciting if Sawyer is protecting a woman he has feelings for. Even if they don't get it on, Sawyer, typically, will do whatever he can to help someone in danger. I never knew how it would happen, but I think Sawyer becoming the beach's leader has been hinted at for a bit now. At least since S3.
Question: What's everyone's feelings on what Sawyer, Juliet, Rose, Bernard, etc. think about the O6? I think they think they are all dead, but I don't know. Wouldn't that mean that TPTB will have to devote some time to the beach camp mourning their friends? Maybe the reason for the canoe trip we heard about it to address this issue?

Viva season 1 and 2, best seasons of Lost, stupid sci-fi tv show.
Personally, I'd rather not see a Sawyer/Juliet hook-up, cos that almost seems to certify Juliet's doom. And I don't want Juliet to die. However, I think they'll have a great dynamic since they are so opposite, bringing their various strengths to the table in order to survive. I can see a brief flirtation going down, but nothing more than that.
That said, seeing this makes me very excited for S5!

Yeah, I wonder if they'll have time for that. Based on that light they saw in the jungle (in the promo when Sawyer was still shirtless *g*) it looks like things might start happening on the Island right away. And the fact that Juliet and Sawyer seem to be spying on someone or something seems to point in that direction as well. No time for one of the funeral scenes we've seen before, but 'm sure we'll see mournful moments from each of those left behind in some way.

And the lighting in this new photo is very focused on their faces, which I'm told is very important in setting up romantic scenes. Maybe they'll be developing some sort of pairing with Sawyer/Juliet for S5.

I say let jack/kate fans have their heads buzz from happiness, though to me when those two have romantic moments it is weird and creepy, they have chemistry of an older brother and sister, it's almost incestual when they kiss...brrr... IMHO jack managed to produce convincing romantic vibe only with that hot italian chick Gabriela, (they should really bring her back) but in all other relationships he kinda sucked.

They don't necessarily have to pair up with anyone, do they? Sun didn't seem to have hooked up with anyone even though she thought Jin was dead for three years.
I think it also depends on how long they're left alone on that Island. Wasn't there a spoiler that it would be less time for those left behind than it would for the ones who got off the Island?
I wouldn't put it past TPTB though to try and 'complicate the triangle' though. They tried twice on Jack's side, so they might try it on Sawyer's side this time, but I think its unlikely. Impossible, no. Unlikely, yes.

Well, this is your opinion and I will respect it, but there are who thinks different! Veeeery different, BTW!
And I'd like to see Juliet & Sawyer together because with Kate, Sawyer AND Jack have a kind of 'stressful relationship' or sth like that! They have wonderful moments together but they have a lot of angst moments too! I think that Sawyer and Juliet will be more 'light' to see (I don't know if 'light' was a good adjective here, but it was I thought).
I'm still a crazy jater and I love Jack & Kate but I see their problems too. And a stressful relationship is one of them! But at the same time, I love to see this things happening between them! A shipper's POV hehehe!

Juliet obsessed with Jack? Not on the show that I am watching. Obsessive love is the kind of love Ben and Jack are exhibiting. Yeah, because doctor/criminal and doctor/criminal is so exhiting. Both relationships would be exact mirror images of one another with the only difference that Juliet will probably treat Sawyer with some respect.
And regarding the question of "Who will TPTB will pair up Juliet if not with Sawyer?", how about with no one? They are obviously not interested in giving her a legitimate romance of her own but they would finally show an ounce of respect for the character as well as the actress if they don't turn her into a Kate place holder again.

In SNBH Kate and Juliet made peace. So when Kate is back on the island i can only expect a new kind of friendship developing between Juliet and Kate.
Beside there has to be a reason why they didn't go with the jealousy plot for Skate for the last 4 years...
They could have done that easily with making Kate find out about Sawyer and Ana Lucia's affair. Bu no! They didn't bother to do it. And probably Kate wouldn't have cared even if she found out about it.

If you had told me I would want to see Sawyer with Kate after the first episode (season 1), I would have said, "Ewww." I would have never guessed back then that I would eventually come to love Sawyer or that he would be any threat to Jack and Kate's relationship.

Well yeah that was my point... it was never necessery to show it... They showed a lot of times where Sawyer was jealous of Jack and Kate's connection but we never saw Kate jealous of Sawyer... So it wasn't needed as a plot. If it was needed they would have make it happen.
So what i say is, after making Kate jealous of Juliet because of her bonding with Jack, they wouldn't repeat the same plot only now with Sawyer. It would be so ridicilous!

Well Jacket kissed twice before Jack and Kate were officially together and they also showed Kate jealous of Ana Lucia and Jack's interactions in S2 and Jate weren't together officially back then but it didn't stop the writers.

Oh i love this pic, i can't wait for season 5, and Sawyer and Juliet look awesome, i think they are a great duo, maybe they'll be the leaders, and i wanna see how that will play out. About romance, i think they are totally an item, they are hot and they have a lot of chemistry, i woul'd love to see these two heat things up!

Kate and Jack are seen in many quarters as a couple failure with no chemistry.
Kate and Sawyer had spectacular chemistry and were very badly written after I Do, lets make them dysfunctional and telegraph it with a blunt weapon. It was obvious at the time that the actors were even confused by the change of tack. And I have to say Kate and Jack were unbelievable in series 4 until the reveal scene on the promise and 'you're no relation,' to Aaron, the only scene that had significance. So to make Kate and Jack look good they have to emasculate Sawyer or kill him heroically/badly cos otherwise it ain't gonna work. And even if they do that half the shippers won't buy the dvd's.
I always think that the Jack and Kate shippers have no imagination and really were told, here is the white hat hero, Jack. Jack is a pompous ass and not very nice but you can ignore that because he's a hero so you should like him. And here is the heroine Kate, she's not very good but she's the heroine and she's pretty and she's sorry for what she's done. So no real biggy, blowing up her father, robbing a bank and sucking up/sleeping with some bad boys to get them to do it, and getting her best friend killed but she's lovely. And here's Sawyer, he's a bit of a naughty black hat boy, and the fact he had his parents both tragically demised and got left on his own doesn't in any way excuse his behavior (unlike Kate). Like I say the heroes and heroine's are always imperfect in Lost. But half the population like Jack, like Kate, like assassin and torturer Sayid are nice because somehow their sins are cast in a more favorable light.
Kate getting off a prison sentence, cos Jack vouched for her, robbing Claire's mother of her grandchild.... not an issue. Jack's the hero so there's a good reason for that.
The whole series has a morality chasm a mile wide.
Jack't a pompous git and someone should murder him
Kate, Sawyer and Sayid are murderers
Locke murdered that helicopter woman but generally is spineless
Juliet killed blockhead but we don't mind cos he might have killed gorgeous Sawyer and without him we wouldn't bother watching
Claire is a zombie so she's nice
Aaron's too young to murder someone but is tooling up and has Kate as his mentor
Ben killed his father and lots of others
Nobody cares about Sun and Jin or Des and Penny really (well I certainly don't mega boring)
And has Hurley joined in Sayid's activities, deeply disappointing if yes
B and Rose not in the series enough to develop motive for mass murder but give them a few episodes and they'll develop.
Boaties or floaties don't care
Get Juliet and Sawyer to get it on, it will improve the series enormously.

I completely agree, Suliet would be the least stereotypical out of any of the couples (you neglected to mention Jacket... Stockkholm syndrome is pretty stereotypical too), but the writers have confirmed that Kate will end up with Jack or Sawyer, so if Suliet ends up being the end-game, so does Jate, and God knows that's the most stereotypical of them all :P
I'm still a hardcore Jacketeer...but am excited to see these two in a friendship...but still, Jacket forever! It isn't over yet!

I think Jate has a unique and amazing chemistry. And i never find Sawyer and Kate's chemistry appealing... coz IMO it's purely based on lust and what i care is emotions, love and intenstiy...
The only time i felt like Skate had more than just lust was in "I Do" but it didn't continue... It was a one episode thing and after that, all of their scenes were lame ("i meant sex", "shut up and dont talk", "if you want to use me just say it", "you slept with me coz i was a dead man", "lets hope you're not pregnant", "i'm surviving", "go home james", "how long can we play house", "i want to use you for something", "you will come back to me when you and Jack have a fight"... it goes on and on) Their scenes after I Do has nothing to do with 2 ppl in love. Their relationship was like "friends with benefits"
But just because i dont like Skate doesnt mean i want Suliet to turn into a romantic relationship. Suliet is a lame idea...
Sawyer has a daughter somewhere and i believe, someday he will reunite with his daughter.
Cass always loved him, even before he changed and became a good person, even before he became a hero... She loved him even after he conned her and left her!
Who knows what happens if Sawyer and Cass meet again?

Sawyer and Kate proved to have chemistry, but so did Sawyer with Cassidy and imo also with Ana Lucia. I´m sure that a combination with Julliet can be even better (though it´s hard to top the cage scene).
It is not because JH is hotter than MF (pure question of taste), but because of the way the characters are written. MF had chemistry with that italien girl and if MF and EL would have been told to deliver an absolute believable loving couple with chemistry, I think they could have done that. Both are fantastic actors and what we´ve seen was what we were supposed to see.
Still, all options are open. Kate and Jack happy together? Yes, maybe. But not before the end of the show. Kate and Sawyer? Possible but not very likely, unless it´s part of Jack´s way towards redemption to set Kate free. I often had the feeling that their relation has more to do with acception and rejection than with real love.
What I don´t see is what a lovestory with sawyer should add to julliets storyarc. She´s been unlucky with love so far and an affair with sawyer would have been the last thing to expect - until now. I just hope that if that happens it´s not only to be used to open up another round in that "love-quadrangle". Her character deserves more than that. But being left on an island with not so much of a choice and believing that the others died on the freighter, wouldn´t it be quite understandable?
But no, I doubt it. I think they just team up to survive and as they´re both fighters, that´s a very good idea.

Yeah. Because of that Cartlon Cuse said, that Kate and Sawyer are in love with each other. Because of that Damon and Cartlon were promoting their kiss, in the finale for whole season 4( one of their favorite scenes, ever on the show)( not saying a single word, about the spectacular episode "SNBH". All that is because they are "FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS", and because Sawyer will end up with Cassidy in the end. So truth!.
Personally, I think when it comes to "friends with benefits" it would be Jack and Kate.

As far as Sawyer and Juliet, I don't see a romance, I see two people working together trying to survive. Poor Juliet doesn't need to be second best, she deserves better.
Just having a bit of fun really so don't get upset by anything I say. My son got my husband and I into the show and we watched Season 1 and 2 really quickly and Lost was great. And from a female point of view Sawyer was brilliant. So Series 3 it all got a bit bogged down off beach and no fun and they made Jack, (who is a pretty poor hero), central stage and I got turned off. Still followed the story though. Kate's a pretty crap heroine, I really don't understand her at all and I've got to the point that I don't even want to try, I actually prefer Juliet who is charismatic and a much better actress. I like Locke (thought flawed) and Hurley so far and think Sayid is dubious as I said before the others are so boring they are red shirts. And its very interesting that you can't state a synopsis of the show so far, without comments that you aren't a fan, I'm certainly not a drooling fan that accepts everything but I think that's okay.
Skate has a lot of chemistry but lacks a lot of substance (Mainly because Kate can't fully commit).
Jate has zero substance and zero chemistry (It died somewhere around season 1)
Jacket is pretty much nonexistent along with Suliet.
Sawyer is way too good for Kate. I'd like to see him happy and if Juliet is the person who will fully embrace and love him then so be it. I love her. But I don't think the writers are heading in that direction at all.

Hmm. Everyone's imagining a scenario wherein Kate returns to the island to find Sawyer and Juliet a couple. But what if Ben returns? Hehehe.
Personally don't care about Kate returning or jealousy she can get all soppy and do the lemur wrap with Jack. I want to see Sawyer in a better relationship with loads of sexual tension and good/sarcastic/funny dialogue. The Kate Sawyer thing died in good writing after 'I do.'
I am looking forward to a kickarse team, with Sawyer and Juliet showing that they have what it takes to be leaders of those poor buggers who got left behind and forgotten and abandoned over the past 3 years LA time.
It's been established that Sawyer is madly in love with Kate to the point of sacrificing everything for her at least twice now. Any kind of romantic hook up with someone not Kate is not going to be meaningful or lasting or particularly convincing. Sawyer's already picked Kate as the girl you name dumb stars with. And Kate willingly chose to destroy her relationship with Doc Druggie rather than tell him the promise she's keeping for Sawyer. That says it all as far as I am concerned.
A sacrifice made, a promise kept, and Skate's still going strong. ;)
Juliet's an awesome strong compassionate woman, I'd prefer her to remain single than have her once again subjected to being second choice. Just like Jack's Kate's default choice off island. JMO.
