Absolutely no surprise he's back. You don't hire an actor like him just to do what he did in season 5.
That's interesting. He didn't seem so important after all.
Is that Caesar?
HAH! I knew it since Jules Verne Festival! AND NO ONE BELIEVED ME! ;_;
Yep, I knew it. You don't cast someone like Said Taghmaoui just to be a redshirt, nor would they build up Caesar that much if he wasn't important.
I remember seeing him in Three Kings and thinking he made an otherwise "just OK" film quite riveting with his intense performance. I never put it together this was the same guy.
More importantly though what does it all mean? Will we see him in the Alt Timeline or did he survive Ben's Badass quickdraw?
Great news, my friend.
I'm thinking he was part of Illana's group, but was killed by Ben. We will provably see him in flashbacks.
He was great in Traitor too.
Darlton always said that his inclusion in season 5 was purely a set up for his character in season 6, so I expect some big scenes from this guy...
Here's hoping he gets shot by Ben in the alternate universe.
wow, im surprised, but not. we all read that his character was going to be big for the finale. Hes probably dead, but we'll be seeing him in flashbacks like everyones suggested.
@Corvus Lizard: Here's what I thought happened...
They hired "someone like Said Taghmaoui" to be more than a redshirt. But somewhere along shooting his first few episodes, he pissed off someone hire up or just personally dropped out. They then shifted his storyline over to Bram and killed him off.
It did seem weird how he was built up, yes, but then coupled with the fact that unbuilt up Bram was suddenly thrown into being the main guy in Ilana's posse seemed to show Caeser's storyline was probably shifted.
That's how I saw it at the time, anyway. I'm glad I was wrong, though. Did anyone else think the same at the time?
I guess he'll show up in a Ilana's Flashback or something...
My conclusion after "Dead Is Dead" had been that they made him seem important and hired a very talented actor to play him so that we'd be even more shocked when Ben killed him. Now it seems that may not be the case.
It doesn't seem like he was one of Ilana's people. Why would he have concealed the shotgun from her in the first place if they were on the same side? I think either he has a history that is linked to one of the other main characters, or he was Widmore's man on the plane.
@Andrew Sparkes
Thats exactly what I wast thinking. I remember going into season 5 there was all this talk about ilana and caesar but then all of a sudden bram came out of nowhere and caesar just fizzled out
This is cool news, knew they had to bring him back for a proper end to his character.
Terrific actor.
The only problem with the theory that Bram got Caesar's storyline, is that the actor playing Bram - Brad William Henke - is also a pretty well known actor, isn't he? I heard he was picked up after a terrifc performance in Mad Men, or some other show like that. Plus I definetely recognise him from some films. So they clearly had plans for Bram's character from the get-go aswell. This leads me to believe everything is still going according to their plan and Caesar is still going to be used as originally intended. I think his death was kinda a fake-out, designed to make us wonder why such a talented actor would be underused... only have his main storyline be told in this new season.
He HAD to be back. Shotgun blast or not, we need the rest of his story.
cool news.. but could they have found a worse picture of this guy?? Probably not
I hope this means he's a regular like they said he may be
He survives the shotgun shot and now is gonna hunt and kill Ben
caesar being widmore's man on the plane would be the best way to redeem his storyline as a character. Otherwise, the lost crew obviously wrote him off the show for some reason

Webbsta, where did Darlton say this? (I'm thinking it was probably a podcast that i missed, or maybe comic-con?)
This is the island after all, I guess he still had some work to do.
All Hail Ceasar!!

At first, when he was shot I thought the samen, That Bram took his part,and said was fired, or he had better movie to make. But I doubt it: Bram is in Illana group, I dont thin Said was supposed to be in her group, look at "the life and d. of J. Bentham"- at their strange conversation between Caesar and Illana. They dont seem to be friends. And he hides a gun from her. Now I guess it was all intended.
And I am glad, because he is really good actor.
Caesar is son of mib! book it
GREAT! Said is not for nothing..I was so pissed when Ben shot him..like..what? This is a great actor and he gets killed after two lines...wtf? I was actually wondering why would he take this role...but now I see he is back! Jeeee

Eh mommy man is comming back! yaaaaaeeeeh Ceasar. I knew the shot to the chest was bogus. He is becomming a bigger face on tv and movies to be shot after a couple lines in two eps. How did Ben steal the shotgun from him without him knowing? Long live Ceasar
I'm so happy Saïd Taghmaoui will be back. He's a great actor.
Long live Caesar!
