Sayid looked like he was gonna start torturing Jack any moment now..
And unfortunately he won't. Jack will sweet talk him out of it. Then its curtains in 2 days (island time) for the Iraqi veteran.
Okay, there is one little thing I noticed about the sneek peak and it deals with the recording. Didn't Juliet say more about Sun's pregnancy? I think some of what Juliet said was cut out because I remember her saying that Jin was sterile before coming to the island. And then she goes on to say she'll get samples from Austen and the other women. Then in the end she says that she would report back to Ben once she's done.
Yep the whole part about getting samples from Austin is cut. Don't know why or how they would do that. Maybe it is just editing the footage to screw with us!
I just can't get enough of this Jack being an outcast, non-trustworthy guy. I LOVE IT!
Can't wait! I really hope Sayid doesn't die though... he's one of the best characters on the show even if he doesn't get that much air time.
Sweet. This only confirms my thought that Jack wouldn't be freaked out by the recording and he'd have to clue in the Losties on what is really going on.

From watching this sneak peak and tonights show (The Brig just aired in UK) looks like Jack has a plan with Juliet to get rid of ben and seem to be setting him up with Sun and Kate being pregnant, the old double bluff they come to get Sun and Kate only to have Jack and Tom turn against the others and kill 3 of them along with Claire or Charlie
he's too calm, i hope this means that he knew what juliet was up to all along which means juliet's in the clear.
I think Sawyer stopped the tape before it mentions Kate. He might have thought, opps, about the Austen part. Didn't want Kate to know about it or didn't want the others to know cos then he's have some 'splaining to do, or being a gentlemen.
All of you people are underestimating the awesomeness of Jack.

Sun: He'd never do anything to hurt us. And Juliet? I believe she's a good person.
Sawyer: Good person, huh? [plays tape recording of Juliet talking about Sun's pregnancy]
[Jack walks up]
Jack: Where'd you get that?
Sawyer: Do you really think you're in a position to be asking us questions?
Jack: I think we got some catching up to do.
Sneak peeks are always hacked down to cram more happenings into less time. Probably the entire tape will be played in the actual episode.

Jack wants to help everybody, so I can't HATE him (at least, I THINK he still wants to help everybody out, but I'm not sure about it), but, I don't LIKE him, because he is SO ARROGANT! He says he doesn't wanna be a leader, and yet, he acts like he is the only guy who has the right to know what is going on, or to make decisions. Obviously, he's been keeping a major secret about himself and Juliet, but he acts all casual about it. But when he finds out that people have kept a secret away from HIM (Naomi), he is like WTF, you should let me know everything that is going on! What an arrogant bitchface.
P.S. My own name is actually Jack. . .my favorite character is actually Locke
Can the next sneak peek (if we get one) have Ben/Locke..oh purty please TPTB... this wait is just agonizing. ;-)

Hey, maybe Jack is Jacob! Get it? Jack-ob...oh, never mind. I was just trying to validate Jack's character, who has been getting on my nerves lately.
As for "The Man Behind the Curtain," I hope that the episode will enlighten us viewers more regarding Dharma and "The Incident." At any rate, I'm a sucker for any show set in the 70's (except That 70's show) and can't wait to see all of those groovy Dharmawagon Vans. That one frame in the promo of Ben's mother eerily dressed in all white reminds me of the vision that Jack had of his dead father.
The fact that Jack was so calm, but looked kind of worried... I think we're going to be finding out a little more about what happened to him while he was with the Others, and what they were going to tell Kate. Locke might have edited it or something, or maybe he only played a little bit of it.
Maybe Ben edited it, probably expecting it to somehow end up back at the beach... I dunno...
Actually, if you listen closely, just after Juliet says (via tape) "the foetus is healthy and was concieved on island with her husband" there is a static noise, then she says "I'll report back when I know more".
Suspicious static, whatever next!
but I hope sawyer will listen the whole record,because well,juliet was going to take kate too to test her if she is pregnant,but what then sawyer does?will he think that maybe kate can be pregnant??
I can see that they are setting up Juliette to die. She will turn on Ben and end up being killed saving the Losties (maybe even Kate).
Jack is just plain dumb. I would love for Christian to be alive to yell at him and tell him how stupid he really is for falling for this junk. The Jack Crying Percentage is starting to raise.

First of all, I don't think Jack is 'Him' aka Jacob but he may be linked to him or has worked with him in the real world at one stage. Does anyone know if Naomi will spill any more beans about the news she told Des & co about the 815rs?
Sawyer will get Kate to listen to the rest of the tape & she is yet another lostie who doesn't trust Jack. This rate, come the finale.
Jack will only have Juliet in her team & Sawyer will have the rest lol & I think Sawyer has got what it takes to be a leader. But I don't know who Locke will be with, probably with the Others or with Danielle.
PS:I think Danielle is the one who will kill Ben with the dynamite she got from the Black Rock!! It will be sad to see him go, but that's Lost for you!! {after all, she is a demolition expert & she hates ben for capturing her Daughter, Alex}.

Anyway, do you know Gregg Nations, the guy who works with TPTB? He posts from time to time on The Fuselage. Here's his wonderful advice for Jack haters. :) I think his idea is perfect, some of you should definitely try it. :D

Jack's not gonna let Sawyer and Sayid have at Juliet. He wouldn't stand a chance in a fight, so he'll maneuver and deftly deflect their major concerns.

ok, so Jack was with the others for a week. No one trusts him any longer. Remember his tatoo? It was translated for his as "He walks among us but is not one of us."

I am more than sure that Jack and Juliet work together AGAINST the others. Jack probably even knows about the tape and that's why he's not surprised at its existence.
Ben's a manipulative bastard. He knew that Locke would steal the tape and give it to the Losties. He is so sneaky! Ben's obviously hoping that the tape causes a rift between the survivors that will make it easier to defeat them. Hopefully Jack and Juliet will double cross him. I'm hoping that Ben dies in the finale, being blown up by Rousseau. :D
So when Jack explains the losties what his plan is,they will again "make him" their leader and forget his whole attitude towards them.And if someone still has trust issues he may as well be written off the show.

As for Ben's flashback,I wonder what kind of answers we will get.Answers that explain Ben's character or answers that provide many information about Dharma and the connection with the others.i don't believe that we can get suffice answers on both fields.
Jack is the face of the show, for good or bad, everyone should get used to the idea of him being around till the end. I sincerely hope they don't kill Ben off, ME has been brilliant and steals every scene he's in. The title The Man Behind the Curtain almost blatantly implies that while we may catch a glimpse of who/what Jacob is the new questions will outweigh the answers tenfold. It has been stated many times that Locke is one of if not the most important character on the show. The parrallels(spelling?) between he and Ben are compelling almost as if they are inverse images of one another. Ben is a manipulative genius, Locke can be a gullible dunce. Locke regained his ability to walk immediately once on the island, Ben was temporarily stripped of his own ability to walk. One of the driving themes of the show is the duality in people and how choices, no matter how apparently insignificant, can tip the balance of that duality and change who a person is. Forgive me if I've went off on a tangent but I'm new to the Blog. Cheers

Jack is not my personal favorite but to the casual tv guide family Matthew Fox and Evangeline Lilly are Lost. Anyone on the Blog has their own very specific opinions but in terms of maintaining the public interest of their show Matthew Fox is here to stay. Us die hards will watch no matter what because we're too invested in it to not see how it turns out. I never said Jack was the main character but his screen time and flashbacks since the start of the series dwarf everyone elses. So love him or hate him those are the facts. The writers and producers have a much grander plan for John Locke than Jack, but Terry O'Quinn is a much tougher sell to the casual viewer than Matthew Fox. Lost is an ensamble but Jack is the central protagonist.
I repeat "it has been stated many times that Locke is one if not the most important character on the show". Jack is not spelled Locke last I checked.

Guys, there is no main character on Lost. Has there ever been a period in 24 or Alias where Jack/Sydney vanished for 3 episodes? And when they came back, they were mostly just involved in romance B-plots for another 5 or 6 episodes? No. Jack isn't the main character. Maybe hes the closest to the center of the story, but it isn't by much.
I'm not fully convinced Jack is on the up-and-up after this. Theres still a possibility that he could have been brainwashed. Perhaps the brainwashing requires a certain phrase uttered by Ben for it to be triggered. Maybe Jack will end up turning on the losties when they least expect it during the finale. The writers are supposed to be planning something big for Jack afterall.
Best thing about this Sneek Peek? Sneak Peeks are always shown in the first five mins of an ep of lost, so we got a good half hour after this :D Yippee! Straight into the action
$16 dollars says that the next scene from "Curtain" they show us is when Locke drops the corpse of his dead dad in front of Ben and asks for the answers to the island.
I think Vincent is the key to lost lol U see!! {Oh & Walt} No laughin & there's more than one main character. Lost would be boring if that was true.
Why can't Sawyer be the new leader. He may be the one who will kill Jack & Locke or an Other.

Jack is arrogant, but he can let himself behave like that, because he's the leader and always trying to save the lives (even of people like Sawyer, totally unnecessary and egoistic, who only can kill frogs on the swamp).
btw, I think Juliet is not really going with team Ben, she left him that tape just not to cause any suspicion. We know for sure she hates him.
That scene was definitely edited and is missing parts. Sayid says "We kept her a secret", but Naomi had already talked. Plus as stated before, the tape is missing parts. There will be a lot more to this scene on television, unless they cut it...
Just an observation, this scene had a ton of countries represented. Korea, England, America, Austrailia, Iraq, etc. We have Asia, Europe, the Mid-east, Austrailia, North America. The people from South America were killed off a while ago. This is just random thoughts, but fun to analyze :).
Question: did Sayid move the meeting away from the camp and therefore Jack and Juliet or just wait until they had an "errand" to run? For nobody trusting them the meeting was quite open and nobody really too surprised when J&J showed up.
But, Jack's behavior, to me, was like, "Okay -- they found out I better say something, anything to smooth things over!" It just felt insincere and only because Sawyer played the tape. Without the tape Jack would not talk.
It is also a possibility that Sawyer just played that particular part of the tape to make a point and if more convincing is required can play the rest of the tape in which Juliet says that she will get samples from the REST of the women.
