[Jin is at the shore with a fishing pole. Sun is watching him from the woods. She goes into the jungle. She looks at her California driver’s license and starts to dig a hole to bury it. Michael comes running by.]
Michael: Vincent! Vincent! Oh, hey I’m sorry. I was looking for Vincent. I didn’t mean to scare you. You ok?
Sun: Yes, I’m, I’m fine. I just, I just needed a moment by myself.
Michael: Hey, you sure you’re ok? [Sun looks down. Michael looks down too. He sees her license on the ground and picks it up]
Sun: [crying] I was, this is…
Michael: No, no, no, you don’t have to explain. [He hands the license to her.]
Sun: I was going to leave him. I was going to leave Jin, and start a new life in America. But I changed my mind at the airport because I was afraid.
Michael: Hey, hey, it’s, it’s, it’s ok. [He holds her hands.] We’re getting off this island any day now. Things will change.
Sun: No. It’s too late. This place. It’s my punishment. It’s my destiny.
Michael: No... Maybe you should talk to him.
Sun: He’s not the man I fell in love with.
[Michael hugs her.]
Michael: Maybe he just needs a little time. It’s been hard on all of us. It’s ok. It’ll be ok.
[They pull apart and stare at each other. Michael’s hand is on Sun’s face. They lean in to kiss, but before they do, Vincent comes up and barks and they back away.]
Sun: I must go. I’m sorry. [Sun runs away.]
Michael: Uh… [Watches her leave.] Come here, Vincent. Come on.

I ALWAYS KNEW THERE WAS SOMETHING GOING ON WITH MICHAEL AND SUN! I'm rewatching Season 1 and it's all over their dialogue together. So much tension.
You know, I was once for a Michael/Sun ship (Mun?) back when I still hated Jin so much in the first half of season 1. So yeah, I want to see this mobisode (runs away...guilty of being a former shipper) :-)

Perhaps now we know about the second triangle (god help us) that was rumoured for season 4.
I don't know what to think about it, since Michael and Jin became friends.

If Sun even thinks about cozying up to Michael after he betrayed the camp and killed Ana-Lucia and Libby, I will lose a lot of respect for her.
Everyone knew they fancied each other from S1, the looks, it was pretty obvious.
But I remember someone over here posted a theory after the spoilers on the Sun/Jin-centric episode and I couldn't agree more!

Thanks to the Susans and Dark for our weekly Lost fix, even on this busy day. It's appreciated.
That being said, I think I'd rather see another Hurley/Frogurt mobisode. I still haven't forgiven Michael for killing 2 of his fellow losties. Also, I think Sun and Jin's relationship has gotten better during season 2 and 3and Sun wouldn't consider anything with Michael unless Jin was dead.
Simple answer: the producers are laughing at us. They know we've been screaming about something between Sun and Michael for the longest time, then they convinced us the baby was Jin's, and now they wanna just mess with our heads. I'm calling shenannigans!
Taylor, isn't that what every writer wants? To mess with their audiences' minds? If everything was simple, straight-forward and predictable, there'd be no entertainment.
It's not as if they're just doing it to take the piss. It's just storytelling.
Nothing new... We already know there's something between them. However I don't think the baby is Michael's son.

It seems like they're not paying too much attention to detail for these mobisodes. The picture shown in her license looks like a headshot from a full body image that was taken for Season 3. It's just a little weird that the producers wouldn't try harder to make things look like they used to.
Always knew there was something between them. I can't remember which episode in season 1 it was, but there was this really strange moment between Sun and Michael which didn't seem to have any relevance...now it does!!!
But it's not Michael's baby, I don't think they ever got in on together. They wouldn't put something as crucial as that in a mobisode.

Well, they never convinced us the baby was Jin's, the ultrasound just showed us that the baby was conceived on island, no way to prove it was Jin's. However, I do think it was Jin's and not Michael's... Sun was thrilled when she found out she conceived on island because it meant the baby was her husband's. She wouldn't have been that happy if she had had sex with more than one person on the island and there was doubt about which one was the father.

Sun probably got the license from that woman who was planning to help her escape to America. I don't think the picture on the license needs to look like her right before she got to the island. She probably just gave that picture to the woman, who the made it into a fake ID so that Sun could live in California.
I've really appreciated these past two mobisodes, regardless of the fact they don't address much of the show's "mystery."
Only 5 left. Will we ever see Kate, Locke, Sawyer, or Sayid in the Missing pieces? Maybe a dash of Charlie? I hope we get some more characters in the mix.
it seems like Daniel Dae Kim is really a go-getter when it comes to the Beach cast (in real life)...like he's the Lead Man =)

He has a way of showing up and doing things...
- He showed up to Jack in the Pilot
- Locke called him with the whistle
- Walt was always looking for Vincent
- Vincent disappeared right before Shannon was shot
- Vincent led Shannon to Boones Grave when Shannon was looking for Walt
- Vincent brought Charlie one of the statues
- Vincent brought the DHARMA van keys and led Hurley to the van
- Vincent pulled the blanket off Nikki & Paulo
just to name a few...

BONGZILLA, I think there was a flashback episode for Sun/Jin back when they were going to LA, when they were at the airport. Sun had talked to some lady about leaving Jin at the right time at the airport and she had all the paperwork for Sun. I think thats probably where she got it from....

Aren't we supposed to presume that the Monster appears throughout the series as a character? I'd nominate Vincent's appearance here as evidence of Monster-as-Vincent.
I agree with s. matthew that the driver's license was likely procured by the woman who helped Sun plan the aborted escape.
Aborted being the key word.
It was made clear in S1 that Sun was ambivalent about leaving/staying with Jin. We saw enough in Exodus to justify that she was coerced into rejoining Jin, much as Jin was coerced into delivering the watches.
Everything about Sun's demeanor suggested she was unhappy about hooking back up with Jin, in the airport.
All that said, her chemistry with Mike still seems a little sleazy. Both have a boatload of guilt and luggage. Sun seems to have moved forward in her relationship with Jin, and there's genuine affection and commitment between the two, as evidence by her reaction to finding out her child is likely Jin's. I don't see any point in reviving the Sun/Michael plot line other than to remind us that Sun did not return to Jin (in the airport) of her own free will. She was coerced, but that coercion ultimately (on the island) parlayed into a true re-commitment with Jin. Michael was just a passing thing, and imo is history, no reason to revive that storyline.
Two thumbs down on this mobisode..
The producers have said that we've seen Smokey without knowing it, I reckon Vincent is sometimes Smokey, just too many coincidences for him not to be.
This does explain the tension between Sun and Michael, they almost kissed, wow! Sun is vulnerable at this time in the story, and with all the trauma of what they've been through, I think jungle kisses are just more likely to occur. But yeah, Sun is something of a scarlet woman. :)
It was sort of hot and gross at the same time. I hope that's not horrible to say. I like both the actors, and this is before Michael committed his island sins so we can't hold that against him yet. I guess I'm just uber aware of the hygiene situation and that closeness seems like it would be stinky and perhaps not so hot. But Sawyer and Kate don't bother me, so I don't know why it bothers me really.
Well at least it wasn't another Juliet mobisode, thank GOD. Now let's get a Charlie one going or something please......
