Desmond demanding a seat on the helicopter? Um...didn't I say he was a traitor and that he used Charlie for his own rescue? I don't recall, is he one of the Oceanic 6?
Amelia: the Oceanic 6 are people who were on Flight 815...Desmond was not, so he could leave the Island and not be one of the 6.

Ya i have the issue with Hurley and Juliet...funnily enough I looked at the cover and exclaimed "Juliet and Hurley! Why the hell would they put them on the cover? How about the characters that matter, like Locke and Ben?" Haha I got on, looked at the cover, and my dream came true. Ironic right? I would also like to see the other covers however...

i've got the sun and jin one. We've seen the Picture they used before, and my scanner isn't up anyway so =P
I just realised something about Walt... the producers said that there'd be a reasonable explanation why he's aged...
Here it is: because the Lost storyline will jump into the future.. possibly after episode 8?
Walt will be shown, three years older, either off-island, on-island, or both... but it will be 3 years in the future.
How they'll stop him from ageing further before season 6 ... I don't know. Perhaps he'll stay off-island... (why would Michael risk letting him go back?) ... but, even so, even if he did go back, his ageing would probably be slightly less noticeable now that he's a bit older. They can mask his growing with camera angles, kinda the reverse of the Tom Cruise tricks :-)
To be fair, Desmond has every right to demand a seat, he has been on the island far longer than everyone else. However, if he lied and Charlie died, I have no doubt people will hate him more than Michael.
If Desmond lied to get off that island I will personally hunt him down and cut his wee wee off, that is if he were a real person, but since he isn't I will just take all the loathing I had for Juliet and Ben and turn it onto him.
That being said, don't know yet whether he lied or not, but I'm very interested in finding out why he wants that seat, why he's so demanding of it especially if Claire isn't on it.....
Oh, and no big puzzle as to who "he" is anymore but I won't say here since not everyone obviously read the Eggtown spoiler and some coming into this thread may not want to know.
That being said, I'm also curious about Hurley in the future and goshdarnit I want to know what the consequences of one of the O6 telling the truth would be!

maybe desmond has a flash concerning the helicopter (it crashes? it takes them someplace dangerous?) and he wants to take claire's place to save her. that sounds more in line w/ desmond's character... he may be a "coward" sometimes but i don't think desmond is ever selfish.

8 episodes filmed, 8 specific characters featured on the covers...
Could this be a hint showing us whose flashbacks we'll see in the first 8 episodes? Or, since I assume we'll have a lot of flashback/forwards running into one another, perhaps these are the main characters they intend on focusing on for Season 4?
I initially thought this based on the fact that there isn't a JACK cover, what do you think? They have mentioned that Season 4 clues are "purposefully inserted" in EVERY piece of promo coming out, I'm sure TV guide is no exception.

@mc whirlpool – according to episode centric spoilers, at least 3 of the people on the covers do not have flash forwards or flash backs in the first 8 episodes. I would be interested to know how they did chose who was going to be on the covers. Juliet and Hurley do seem to be an odd pairing to me.
Anyway, I will be looking for the Josh Holloway one, if I can find it. (Although I do like EL and the Daniel and Yunjin covers too.)

I think TV Guide decided to put Juliet on one of the covers because many of their editors(especially Ausiello and Roush) seem to love the actress and the character. Hurley is a very popular character with the fans so it doesn't surprise me that he also got a cover.
