Jame's Locke as a mechanic?
Sound's familiar.lol
HHHOOOOOOLLLYYYYY SSHHHH!!!!!!!!!!TTTTTTTTT
if there was any doubt left... i think its safe to say bens spy is michael!!! based on the info here, with minkowski and naomi in the guest credits... the flashback will show michaels time on the frieghter before our losties got there.. i CANNOT f'ing wait!!!!
oh yea.. woot woot 1st post!
SWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTTT
is this the micheal centric epi!? it sounds beyond cool, its gotta be him on the boat
i wonder whos going to be attacking lockes group!? evil jack or evil freigties
I like how Michael can open doors!!!! He's cool!!
I bet he's good at smashing up communication rooms also!!!
AND libby!? anyone know what thats all about? is he going to see her in a vision, haunting him for shooting her in the gut or what? ooo this is gonna be good, im so glad they decided to air this one before the break!
Woah. This episode sounds SO GOOD! I can't wait. I wonder how Libby is going to play into all this though? Strange
Oh and there's no Walt in this episode too...? Strange.
Dark please confirm that Walt will be in this episode :P
Libby is back! And all the freighters are here including George and Naomi!
Tom is back too! Brilliant stuff!!!
Walt will more than likely not be in this episode.
I just noticed that there's no Daniel or Charlotte. I think Juliet couldn't kill them so they completed their mission which is why Ben urges Alex to leave Locke's camp.
Yes Dark, tell us if Walt will be in this episode, because maybe his name was hide from the guest list, like they do with him on TTLG and with Charlie on TBOTE
Daniel and Charlotte will be in the episode 4x07 but not on this...
Anyway. Libby, Tom, Naomi, Minkowski, Alex, Karl, Danielle... all good!
Guys I don't think Walt will be in this one. If the episode is about what happened to them after they were "Rescued" it wouldn't make sense to show a taller and older Walt. I think they're saving taller Walt for the FF.
From what I remember there's a fight between Michael and Tom in New York and I assume it is about Walt.
I hope dark can confirm something about Walt :)
Tom!! yay!
Daniel and Charlotte's non-appearence probably doesn't have anything to do with them dying. They are in 4.7 after Juliet will be threatening them in 4.6
I think it's possible this is one of those unfortunate episodes where we don't see everybody. Locke/Sawyer/Hurley's Otherville just took this week off. Without Charlotte or Daniel or Bernard Rose and no appearance in the log line, it's possible that Jack and the beach crew sit this one out. It's probably why TPTB wanted 4.7 to be the "finale" of this pod because it would kind of weird to end on a Jackless episode.
It also makes sense that they wanted 4.8 to be a "premiere" because they frequently have one section of the cast missing. (none of the raft crew in 2.1, no one other than jack/kate/sawyer in 3.1 or the other season 3 premiere, 3.7)
I hereby declare my speculation to be logical. No Jack in 4.8.
I can't stand Michael and his "Waaaaaaaaalt"/"my boy" but it will be intressting to see what happend to him.
Michael is NOT Ben's Spy, it makes no f'n sense.
Ben's spy = Kevin Johnson.
I wonder who James Locke is.
I think the attack might be Richard alpert and a few others from the temple coming back to retrieve Ben.
"Ben's spy = Kevin Johnson."
Yes... and Kevin Johnson could be a pseudonym that Michael took on. The freighters have a manifest for 815. He wouldn't use his real name.
Could be, but there are just too many plot holes if Michael was Ben's spy.
I think Michael is obviously on the boat, but working for Ben? The writers would have to do some serious explaining for me to believe it.
Dark,
blow us away like the constant? more than the constant? or less?
1) Kevin Johnson = Michael, there are no plotholes, in fact this makes the most sense. If Tom approaches Michael in New York it means he has contact with the Others which means it seems plausible he'd return because of Ben. But I swear to god if they kidnapped Walt again I'll kill the writers (although I always thought in the back of my mind that they gave him a fake Walt clone from the Orchid, so maybe he's coming back for Walt).
2) Walt wasn't listed in the guest cast for the season 3 finale, so he could still be in this episode.
3) This is a Michael flashback which features dead people from the freighter, which means Michaels flashback will take place partially on the freighter a.k.a. he is the spy a.k.a. kevin johnson.
I hope after the break that Davies/Mader/Leung are listed in the starring list (I hope Fahey is too but he's listed as a guest star still during the eps whereas the other three are listed in the main cast, the producers said that doesn't necessarily mean anything though).
Looking forward to the end of episode 7 which will inevitably have our first view of Michael in over a season (similar to when he returned at the end of S.O.S. running through the jungle, then actually had lines in the next episode).
CANNOT WAIT, LOOKS AWESOME!!!
I wonder what the attack will be and who exactly will be making it? has charlotte and dan enabled the freighter to travel directly to the island? that seems like a lot of worry for just charlotte & dan. or maybe the others are coming to purge all the losties and freighter people?
wetsugreen:
There are plenty of plotholes. For example:
1) Ben doesn't want the freighter people on the Island. Why send Michael there?
2) Why send Tom after Michael? Why not just send Tom on the freighter?
3) why would Michael do anything for Ben? Even if Ben promised rescue or something, Ben doesn't WANT the freighter people on the Island! Ben would send someone he trusts.
4) How would Michael contact Ben, anyway? "hey guys, can I use your phone? Thanks..."
Like I said, they would need some SERIOUS explaining to make me believe it. It just doesn't make much sense.
is there any anagram in Meet Kevin Johnson????
Kevin Johnson = Knives on John
Maybe Walt won't be in this episode directly, but indirectly like in the missing piece episode "Room 23" (?) where he was mentioned but not actually seen.
Hey Dark, you can confirm that Walt insn't on this episode?
Chris:
1) Because Ben couldn't STOP the Freighter completely. Michael was there to keep tabs on it, report back information and sabotage it.
2) Tom is needed on the Island.
3) Just because we don't know the answer to that does not mean it is a plothole.
4) ^
Are we going to get Michael in episode 7 too?
That seems like a Lost thing to do, especially since 7 is said to end on a cliffhanger (cliffhanger for the real world, not us spoiler folks.)
Ep. 7 ending on Sayid/Desmond finding out Michael is on the boat...then Ep. 8 answering how he got there?
Chris wrote: How would Michael contact Ben, anyway? "hey guys, can I use your phone? Thanks..." Like I said, they would need some SERIOUS explaining to make me believe it. It just doesn't make much sense.
Chris --
If Lost can coherently explain time-traveling with a dual consciousness in 42 minutes, I have no doubt they can satisfy a "how does Michael contact Ben" question.
james locke, could it be john locke had a son? i wonder if he is a teenager? or maybe he is locke's brother. this could mean locke is in the box.
James Locke is the name of the actor ¬¬
Still - it's absurd and I think a lot of people are expecting it.
Ben gets Tom to go off-Island, find Michael and bring him to the Freighter to spy on them? It just doesn't make sense.
Again....the writers will have to do a LOT of explaining for that.
Libby - Good!
Michael - GO AWAY.
Miles finally gets the grenade storyline ended - Good!
We find out who the spy is - Goodie good.
Goodie good.
By the way, isn't Minkowski dead? How is he credited?
Is he only mostly dead?
MARCH 20????
Wasn't it going to stop on episode 7 and continue in april... the 24th???
If Michael is spying for Ben, maybe it's because Walt told him to. If Locke will act on ghost-Walt's orders, why not Michael?
Or, maybe Walt's acting all freaky (dead bird type stuff) when they get back to NY, and Ben says he can help if Michael will spy for him.
Whatever the reason, I'm guessing it's tied to Walt somehow. After all, we know Michael will do anything for Walt, including murdering innocent people.
@ Chris how do we no thats what tom and Micheal are arguing about off the island.
I am glad Michael is returning.
I liked him, although he got a bit annoying calling Walt. I think he will add plenty of excitement. I am also interesting in Libby. Ghost Libby like Charlie?
I think kevin Johnson is Michael's alias.
@ jake3988 episode 8 which is mike centeric will be a flashback not a flashforward thats how he is creadited.
hey dark, please, give us a light, Walt will be in this episode or not??? ty anyway...
my bad lol i feel dumb
@Iam*jack's*eye
It's happend hehe
caca you have asked that question a million times already. Who cares about that annoying brat anyway?
steveuk2009: we don't, I was just throwing it out there.
I hope that we see very little (if any) of Walt. That is one annoying ass kid. Michael is annoying as well but his story line could turn out to be very interesting, so I'm okay with him coming back. I just hope it's short term.
Does Elizabeth Sarnoff have compromising pictures of Damon and Carlton? Otherwise how could they give her another episode after the crapfest that was Eggtown? I wonder when they will resolve this mistery...
Simone: agreed. She's also responsible for writing "Stranger in a Strange Land" ugh! But maybe redeems herself by the fact she wrote "The Man Behind the Curtain" ???
if the freighter could fire that inert rocket to daniel when he was doing his experiment, whos to say they couldnt fire real rockets at othertown whenever they want. of course if micheal is the mole on the freighter then he would have 31 minutes to contact the island before the rockets actaully hit in real time
Impending attack......hmmm, as in gas attack maybe? And there you go, I'm 99.99999% sure Ben's spy is Michael and sorry folks, Sayid could kick his ass in a heartbeat.
Elizabeth Sarnoff should be fired, period. She ruined lost for me twice now, and once is enough.
I like your thoughts joel, that seemes definatly possible, and really cool! they keep hinting that a war is coming, in one way or another, between locke and jacks groups, between the island and the frieghters, between the losties and the frieghters, freighters and ben/others. And if micheal is involved in any way with this, i think they will choose to him to be shown in a sort of redemptive light, so I think hes the spy on the boat, and changed his name to avoid being caught, and will ultimatly help save the day by warning them of some kind of impending attack.
and for everyone who doesnt want to see walt this season....WTF?! Is he not one of the most interesting parts of this entire show? was that scene with locke in the pit not friggen amazing! annoying or not, that kids out there man, hes got some crazy mind powers, and hes going to have some major significance to the overall story, and its going to blow your mind when it happens.
steveuk2009 said... @ jake3988 episode 8 which is mike centeric will be a flashback not a flashforward thats how he is creadited.
===========
Well, uh, since Naomi is credited, my guess is its a freighter-only flashback getting us up to speed with what Michael's been doing.
I still hope the reason miles is credited is we get a resolution to the grenade storyline :)
John: she only co-wrote it...with Drew Goddard, who has written some pretty good episodes.
Agreed, I'm not a fan of Sarnoff.
how would michael become the spy anyways? if the freighter people saw a little boat in the middle of the ocean with michael and walt in it, wouldn't they question why they were out there? and with the frieghter people knowing about the island, i think they would be a little suspicious how two americans are in the middle of the pacific ocean in a little offshore boat..michael would need a kick ass cover story to convince me............he's not the spy....they're too smart to have an obvious reveal like that.
On why Michael would go on the Freighter and work for Ben:
I don't think Ben or Tom will be solely responsible for convincing him. It may be that Libby's ghost appears to Michael playing the same role that Charlie's ghost did for Hurley--a manifestation of his guilt over leaving his friends behind, telling him he has to go back and help them. Ben, being Mr. Ten-Steps-ahead-of-Everyone, knows that this will happen, so he sends Tom to tell Michael that there's a way he can go back to the island and help his friends: he just has to do another job for the Others.
Why it has to me Michael and can't be Tom or someone else Ben trusts--that I think has a more complicated answer that I'm not going to try and go into. The short version is that I think the Others were telling the truth about the Purple Sky Event screwing up their transportation capabilities, and that Tom is only able to APPEAR off the island, not actually travel there. Could be wrong, though.
There sure are a lot of dead people in this episode. Either there are lotsa flashbacks, lotsa corpses, or the zombie season has started early. The only one missing is Patchy!
Seriously though, I'll be happy to see MC Gainey again. Loved that guy.
A while ago, I came across this fake Lost video that was based on Penny & her team arriving onto the island over at themissfit's site. But it made me think of how Michael cud end up on the boat with those 2 Portugese men onboard & not necessarily on the freighter. & Michael cud av returned to the island either via by a small plane or helicopter with the gorgeous Penny & Michael cud av left Walt in safe hands with those 2 men. That wud be quite cool twist.
But seriously. Michael & Walt travelled on that small boat, all the way to the freighter which was 40 miles from the island. That's one hell of a boat.
It will be great to see both Michael & Walt again!!
First thing that sayid does to michael when he sees him.........BAM!
I'm thinking Michael blows up the freigter. Seeing as it said his return would "make waves".
James Locke has a profile at IMDB . . . interesting facial hair . . .
Chris said... John: she only co-wrote it...with Drew Goddard, who has written some pretty good episodes.
===========
She is responsible for Stranger in a strange land which is without a doubt the worst episode of our episode poll.
However, the last episode she wrote for last season was Man Behind the Curtain, which was a fantastic episode.
So, it's hard to predict.
I hope this episode is really as good as it's supposed to be, since I won't have any Faraday in it to make up for it.
Yes, Liz Sarnoff is a little inconsistent when you look at her episode record. On the one hand, she co-wrote "Further Instructions" and "Stranger in a Strange Land," arguably the two worst episodes of Season Three. On the other hand, she co-wrote "Two for the Road," IMO one of the best episodes of Season Two, as well as "The Man Behind the Curtain."
My hunch is that the issue is not Liz Sarnoff herself so much as what material she's given to work with. When she's given a juicy chunk of the story to work with, she does just fine, but when she has to make do with less interesting material (like the origin of Jack's tattoos), she flounders a bit.
@timmythegreek
I was expecting big things from Sarnoff when I heard she worked on Deadwood, but I thought Abandoned was a huge let-down. I know that everyone gives a lot of grief to Stranger in a Strange Land, but I thought The Hunting Party sucked just as much, which is a shame because before she got to them, all the Jack episodes were excellent.
Honestly, I think ALL her episodes were very mediocre, and the only thing separating duds (SIASL) with the hits (TMBTC) are the shock endings. If it wasn't for moments like Locke getting shot by Ben, Michael killing Ana and Libby, her body of work would be completely useless.
CYNTHIA!!!!!!! yessssss!! I cant wait to see her back in Lost
such a wonderfull actress, I hope she will be in more upcoming episodes
this season is kicking ass so far, im getting more addicted to the show everyday :)
