When Ben is saying "what wouldn't a man do for his son" he appears to be talking into some kind of microphone/communication device. I'm thinking this scene may be part of Mike's flashbacks, that show how Ben communicates with Michael...
....or something....

What is this button for Michael intends to push and why would he be sorry?
Is the freighter crew devided in two groups? One group (Daniel, Charlotte, Frank) was made to believe that the people on island won´t get hurt and that it´s all about to catch Benjamin Linus. The other group (Captain, Keamy, ...) has different orders and is going to attack the island. The only purpose of the first landing mission was to clear the way?!
At the end of the trailer when the voice over says "Someone...will...die..." several persons are shown: Claire, Juliet, Miles, Des, Jin, Michael.
It looks very much like a deathlist to me.
ABC should stop promoting the show with "someone... will... die... tonight". We are not watching the show to see deaths. I'm all for deaths but promoting it ??? I don't like it. It sounds cheap.

That Kate clip is actually from Eggtown when Locke is banishing her from the barracks.

some people do watch it just for that kinda like nascar people just want to see a crash lol. Cant wait this looks to be a good one. And GREAT call on ben not having any wounds on his face looks to be a FB. Mike in NY and tom aka mr friendly finds him thats what I think. enjoy
@kmarg...yep I just checked...exactly the same clip/expression etc...strange that they would use it.
If anyones interested, I guess the only possible time that Ben could be comunicating with Michael is just before his surgery, and my guess is he'd be communicating with Michael from his Hydra observation room.
After checking quickly through those episodes, Ben is wearing the same clothes in the "Cost of Living" (a blue shirt) so my guess is TPTB will stick this scene in tht timeframe.

not only is Kate's clip from Eggtown, but the cap of Jack is from the Constant, and the one of Juliet is from The Other Woman... I'm not sure about the others. Jack's is when they're confronting Dan & Charlotte, Kate's is when she's with Sawyer, and Juliet's is when Harper confronts her @ the 2nd therapy session
i'm getting the feeling we're not seeing the beach camp this time, although i know at least EM is credited on imdb for this ep
Also, are we 100% sure that Michael is pushing that "execute" button? Could be two completely different clips shown after each other to give that assumption, but could play out completely different.
I think it's fair to say that your loyal audience that is still watching Lost is not the same audience that tunes in for Nascar crashes.
This is just another example of the stupid, stupid reality TV mindset. ABC might get more traction among people who actually tune in to watch Lost with something like "TONIGHT...THERE...WILL...BE...PLOT MOMENTUM...AND...CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT!" But it's just easier and dumber to say 'SOMEONE WILL DIE!'

I agree - we can´t be sure that michael is pushing the button. He intends, but it´s possible that he´s attacked by Sayid in that moment and fails to push it. For good or bad...we´ll find out.
And I agree again with you that there might be a connection between Claire and Miles. At least I have the impression that something is coming into her mind. Maybe something the mentalist told her?!
I'm sure this will ignite arguments, but wouldn't it just be crazy if it's Michael who dies?
It´s not michael who pushs the bottom. It´s a white finger... so it can´t be michael pressing it.
That michael "im sorry" can be the answer after michael explains to sayid how did he got onto the boat.
That button looks like a missile control system.
Miles isn't going to die. I think Damon and Carlton said that they're going to use him a lot more next season when he'll be better available. That's pretty much confirmation that he's gonna make it through the season.
And speaking of Miles, he seems to be getting his ass royally kicked in the trailer. Nice! I love Miles and all, but I like to see him get beaten for some reason :D:D I hope it's Locke who's beating him, because I also love seeing Locke beat other people up.
Those are Michael's fingers hitting that button.
It does look like Miles is fighting someone unfamiliar, possibly the captain-certainly some freighter muscle. I also like seeing Jin fight, and Sayid. Juliet and Charlotte were good last week too, that was hot as hell.
My guess about the button is that it either blows up the freighter, releases the gas on the island or possibly launches a bomb of some sort. I guess if it's the gas releasing button that it won't work
now that Daniel has rendered that gas inert.
I'm inclined to think the button destroys whatever place Michael is standing in because we know that he's supposed to die from what he told Sayid in last week's episode.
But the "I'm sorry" suggests that Michael knows this action to be a betrayal or murdering of innocent folk, perhaps the Losties. That would be the obvious conclusion.
However, if Michael has chosen to do what's best for the greater good, it might be an apology to Walt, who I believe to be the bait in however Ben got Michael to do his bidding. That wouldn't be consistent with Michael's behavior so far though, so he's probably just fulfilling his orders from Ben.
Sorry for the multiple posts, I am just so psyched about this episode. I've been waiting for it all week and I just wish it were 6pmsoIcould start reading the "Watching Live" posts from the East Coast. Gah! The nfive more weeks of speculating and work and school and daily life...th Lost again, a super condensed set of five episodes, 8 packed into 5, whohoo!
^^ I agree... he said I'm sorry right after he shot Ana. And towards the end of this trailer it does look like Miles is getting beat up pretty bad. :( I think he will get shot, but he won't die. So, I am just going crazy over what those guys are shooting at, for all we know it could just be a bird.
just a little thing but did anyone notice that the button michael pushed said execute on it? Now the last time we saw that word was in the Swan...... interesting........
