Here is a nice little scoop that I'd like to share with you all. One of my contacts in Hawaii, called "Hawaii Girl" has just been in contact with me and sent me the following information from yesterdays filming. We can confirm the following snippets.
- Sayid is indeed in Episode 4.09
- Sayid is one of the Pallbearers at his former love, Nadia's, funeral
- According to other sources Ben was also seen "close by" and ties in with recent spoilers and photos posted here from Ryan in with Michael Emerson was spotted.
We hope to get confirmation of the Title (which has been rumoured as Bakir, a character in the episode) and if is indeed a Sayid or Ben centric episode. I strongly suspect that it is a Sayid Centric episode but we'll have to wait and see on that.
Here are some photos from the filming. You can see the photo of Nadia being held by one of the extras on the set that was placed on the coffin.

First comment....whoot!
And what, are they going to kill off ALL of the women that Sayid loves or something, throw the man a bone here!
And what, are they going to kill off ALL of the women that Sayid loves or something, throw the man a bone here!
LOL. He's not had the best of luck :)
Stop the bloodshed! =( Well, I guess they'll meet on the "next" life, as she wrote on the pic! Meaning Sayid will probably eventually die as well. TPTB said they will give us a happy ending, but how can ever be a happy ending after so many of our faves died!
Looks like the rumors for the remaining 5 episodes are coming true. Poor Nadia. =(
Ok this news is horrible! Sayid has lost Shannon, and we had to watch him play that spy lady. This whole time seeing as how Nadia had managed to show up in several others' flashbacks I thought that Sayid would make it to the end of the show and he would end up with some type of happy ending. Or at the very least Nadia was going to be important. I feel this negates two of Sayids flashbacks. And on the relationship angle we know Penny/Desmond and Kate with somebody will happen in the end. But on a show with a huge cast, fourteen main characters and several romance triangles/quadrangles etc and you end up with only two couples? What the fcuk. They better not kill Sayid. Everyone fights for other characters and no one really sticks up for Sayid. Fans need to start some chatter otherwise hes toast.
Shortly: Sayid dead, lost end
Mark,
Yeah. Sayid & Nadia always felt like the will-finally-get-together-at-end-of-show OTP couple like Desmond & Penny and Kate & [Jack or Sawyer, take your pick].
General,
Wow, I really wasn't expecting Sayid to get two centric episodes this seasons, but I'm euphoric that it's looking more and more like that will happen.
The fact that i actually assumed Nadia was already dead shows how little I know or care about her. Love Sayid as a character but couldn't care less about his back story. Though this looks like a flash forward so we'll see.
this show has some serious issues with women. They're all cheaters, liars, whores and end up dead. Sigh, poor Sayid.
I love the Sayid episodes. His relationship with Nadia always struck me as being doomed so this doesn't bother me.
I don't believe there will be lots of happy endings on Lost. I keep hoping for Des and Penny, Jin and Sun and Claire and Aaron. Beyond that...who knows?
i want sayid to hook up with danielle, anyway. naveen likes cougars, and they have a cool relationship.
i dunno... nadia has always reminded me of sophia from "vanilla sky". if only for that line she says about meeting in the next life when they both are cats. like, they're not similar enough for this go around. and it always comes back around, ha ha!
Oh this is BAD! Why did they bother showing Nadia in Locke's and Charlie's flashbacks? This is the first time I have had a problem with the story line. Now I will not be surprised if they kill Penny in some horrible way and have Kate living with both Jack and Sawyer in bigamy bliss and forgetting to feed Aaron.I always hoped that Sayid would end up with Nadia after he and Ben have done their work.
Oh this is BAD! Why did they bother showing Nadia in Locke's and Charlie's flashbacks?
What was the point of Libby showing up in so many flashbacks if they were just gunna kill her?
Everything has a point in this show and they wont let it go unexplained.
"Everything has a point in this show and they wont let it go unexplained."
The producers said way back in Season 2 that there's no real point to certain characters showing up again in the flashbacks of others. It's just meant to be amusing.
So this who Ben was referring to when he reminded Sayid in Sayid's FF "Remember what happened last time you let your heart get in the way of pulling the trigger" or whatever.
I wonder if Ben killed Nidia to get Sayid to do his evil bidding though...
I see TPTB have decided to kill off another half of a couple. I'm not surprised about this because honestly, the whole "Nadia is Sayid's love of his life" thing had become rather unbelievable after he totally fell in love with 2 different women in the span of maybe a few months.
And the producers have always said that the ending of Lost would be bittersweet, not happy.

===========
Sayid is a former torturer, and just recently killed a very cute blonde woman and a guy at a golf course.
He deserves to have a little bad luck :)
Also, I was piss my pants in delight if it's another Sayid flashforward.
Besides Jack he has far and away the most intriguing flashforward. I look forward to many more Sayid flashforwards.
He deserves it, he was almost useless last season.
Let's not forget that Jin is also "dead". While I wouldn't doubt that they would torture Sayid by killing off Nadia (it seems to fit his flashback motivation). I also wouldn't rule out that they "killed" her to protect her because she would obviously be a big target for Sayid's enemies.
Sooo....Sayid in the coffin?
Another Sayid centric episode??? C'mon, there are other characters on the show that deserves a centric episode this season. We have already seen what happened to Sayid after the island, even if some things are still missing. Please, be a Ben episode!
Maybe Sayid could fall in love with Charlotte? I wouldn't miss her...
If this is another Sayid FF, ill be very very happy. Ive enjoyed the way theyve written him this season, and they have kept him interacting in a main plot of the season. I rly like watching him and Desmond interact, and with Frank too. I was worried he wouldnt have any story after his FF, and im looking forward to his interactions with Michael.
I may be in the minority, but I'm a little disappointed. I kind of wanted some flashbacks or flashforwards on some freighter people or something.
And if this proves that rumor about the remaining episodes true, I'll be VERY disappointed with the finale.
Just speculating - It would give Sayid some very strong motivation to go after her killers. I'm sure that Ben could "prove" to him that the people on the list killed Nadia. Now all we need to do is figure out is the truthiness of it, right? It is Ben after all.
Poor Sayid. Karma's a biatch.
Ben: "Need I remind you what they did the last time you thought with your heart instead of your gun?"
Sayid: "You used her to recruit me into killing for you."
From 'The Economist'
And referring directly to the events speculated about above I'll bet.
Maybe Sayid tracks down and goes to see Nadia, unwittingly leading his pursuers with him. Nadia gets killed. Sayid is partly-responsible.
The shocking twist? Ben has something to do with her death.
The story I still want to see is Danielle's and we are still waiting. Her FB could fill in a lot of blanks as I do not believe for a moment that she has wandered around that Island for years and doesn't know a lot more than she appears to. She acted as if she had never seen Mikhail's house or the sonic fence. She has had sixteen years to explore the Island a missed that? Her entire story is suspect and we need to finally see what is and isn't true about this character. I am surprised Locke isn't asking her question since asking Ben gets him no where.
wow.. looks like ill be wrong with my predictions for the rest of the season.... :(
would woulda thought we'd get another Sayid episode? i guess it's understandable tho.. he DOES have a VERY interesting future... something we all want to know a lot more about...
it COULD be a Ben FF too.. you never know...
but this makes sense.. since Ben said something along the lines of, "you remember what happened the last time you let your heart do the talking instead of a gun, dont you?"..... or something like that... looks like we'll be getting the answers....
and i definitely think putting Sayid in the coffin is WAAAAAAY too much of a long shot.. i think more than just Jack would have gone to see him... and why would he want to kill himself with Sayid being dead? it just doesnt makes sense.. i think the safe bet is to assume it's Ben.... of all the characters on LOST.. he's the character i would put my money on as to who is on the coffin... and we'll find out this season... i hope. i doubt Damon and Carlton would leave us hanging for more than one season on that mystery... im guessing the finale will be a Jack FF.. and then we'll get our answers...
What, exactly is the rumor about the remaining episodes?
Sorry for being so out of touch!
@mark...
Just because characters die does NOT make a story good or not good. It's a story... I loved the remake of Dawn of the dead and they all basically died. Still was great. I don't want to change what or how the writers tell THEIR story, because i'm just watching what they have to say.... but then again I am a HUGE Stephen King fan and he kills characters (and sometimes many of them) all the time... for the greater good of the story... and the end still has happiness, maybe not for everyone, but happiness none the less and the feeling that I have been on a great ride.
So while you are entitled to your opinion, mine is that I'm enjoying the story for what it is. Hey, if it's a bad one, don't see it out, but we don't tell movie directors or book writers how to tell their stories, so what gives us the right to tell a writer for t.v. how to tell their story? They don't need to appease us to keep us watching for years and years... only 2 more years... and even if almost nobody watched, I believe they will tell the story as intended and ABC with air it!
I think as a whole this season has been very good... Nadia's dieing would make sense... I mean it would have to be a pretty big event (IMO) to make Sayid... in his words... sell his soul to work for Ben. And I kinda just assumed the death of Nadia would be ness. to do it.... although maybe it's a set up to keep her safe, if sayid is at this point already working for Ben. Maybe Ben offers to keep her safe, do the fake death thing, and all sayid has to do is to work for him until everything settles down... then him and Nadia can run off and hide somewhere in peace. We know he'll have the money to do it!
loneassassin: agreed, I was thinking the same.
Also, I always assumed Nadia was dead (Sayid said so in S1). Glad to see this storyline is being wrapped up.
@bob....
Good theory! I mean we are to know who is in the coffin by the end of this season... and maybe if the others find out that Sayid is working for Ben... that would then influence them not to go to his viewing... we know that Ben has an alternate identity for him... and he has no family in the states that would come see him or even know he is dead due to the name change.... very very interesting!!
We are pretty much (IMO) assured that it won't be Michael in the coffin because the name in the paper was not Kevin Johnson... HOWEVER... sayid does not have a teenage son (that we know of)... and maybe michael just has more than one alias??
So many theories so little time...lol.
Wow.... Could those episodes 9-13 rumors posted on Thursday be true?
That's insane--we would already know more about the remaining episodes than we did about episodes 7 and 8!!
@ Lostassasin
didnt sayid say you used THAT to recruit me (not her) THAT
????
but its same difference anyway
i think your right though, maybe ben did use sayid because nadia died
I have a feeling the Ben/Sayid relationship will be like the Emperor/Darth Vader relationship from Star Wars. Ben will use someone Sayid loves to recruit him, then gets Sayid to do his bidding and killing for him.

That's pretty much what I was thinking. Not so much that Ben kills her as that's not really his style anymore, is it? He's matured into a long term planning kinda guy. He'd see it coming, not say a word, let it happen (ala Goodwin), and then find a way to work it to his advantage.
Now - who is Sayid protecting? Is it the folks left on the Island or is it the other Oceanic Six? Both? Who will we see him up against? Abbadon? Whitmore?
This is going to get interesting - I am very much looking forward to this episode.
Nadia was already dead. Sayid said so in series 1 when Danielle had him hostage I think.
I've noticed that Sayid has been made into the lead character this season, and this pretty much confirms that.
But I'm still hoping that this is a Ben episode, and that Sayid part in this flash-forward is just peripheral. With this shortened season, I think everyone should only get one turn, and it would be perfect timing for Ben to receive the spotlight.
Glad to see Nadia again... Not that I care much about her (since Sayid's love life got quite busy with Shannon and Elsa), but for an unfathomable reason I put her in my Fantasy League Team :)
Sayid is not gonna die anytime soon, or so I hope.
Great that he's having another FF. Last season he was really neglected.
I totally believe that Sayid could be toast this season. Why else would the powers that be give him two centrics in such a shortened season but yet no Claire, Rose/Bernard, Sawyer, Freighter people (there are at least another five on the boat a la Confirmed Dead), or the ultimate Jacob/Richard/history of the island one that could explain so much.
And to Michelle I fully give the writers the benefit of the doubt for one. Two I have seen several shows through to the end only to be disapointed, this happens much less with books and movies because you only invest yourself in it for hours not years. And three I'd like to see any fan that has found a site like DarkUfo, that has watched for four years just stop watching. It's not going to happen lol. But seeing as how there aren't too many episodes left for Sayid to have any significant flashbacks or flashforewards I think killing Nadia is still a bit much. Desmond is to Penny as Sayid is to Nadia.
And to the guy who said in season one she was dead, go back and watch it again. He is flying to L.A. specifically because that is where the c.i.a. agents told him she lives now. He was planning on meeting her when he landed.
i bet ya Sayid goes to find her right after he gets off the island, and someone Oceanic-y kills her, Ben shows up, and recruits him to be his assassin.
Could this be the thing that Ben was talking about at the end of the Economist that made Sayid decide to work for Ben?
And I'm glad that the producers are straying from giving all the characters some of the limelight for flashbacks/flashforwards, and instead sticking with which characters will further the story.
Sayid has now become one of three most single influential characters for the story of the show, next to Ben and Jack. He's not going away for a while.
yeah, every time sayid sets out to get things done, they get done. he asks the right questions. i've said this for ages:
if this were the sayid show, it would have only lasted two seasons. they'd be rescued, the questions would all be answered, and there'd prolly be a few little sayid's running around. (heh heh)
the guy rocks, and i'm glad he's coming to the forefront. he's too bad@$$ of a character to go to waste. i'd watch a movie based just around his life prior to and after the island.
Froufrou

Sayid is awesome and i totally agree. If i could pick one person to go on a mission with it would be him, he's always on point, always does ask the right questions and unlike jack, who ben just saw as an ethan replacement, recognized sayid at once as someone important (in their scene in the others rec room). A great example of classic sayid is the phonecall he made to the beach after arriving at the freigher. imagine any other character making that call and the gibberish coming out of their mouth trying to explain. he summed up everything (at that point) in like a sentence and a half. i'm glad that he's not on the chopping block as he is an essential piece to this ensemble show.
I had a feeling Nadia and Sayid would end in tragedy, though I thought it would be him dying, not her.
