Yes!!! Jin's not dead. We won't have Sawyer/Hurley but we'll still have Sawyer/Jin. Thought that might be the case when Jin said Sawyer had been teaching him english.
SWEET!
I was so worried Jin was dead.
Guess that breaks that stupid, purely coincidental DUI curse. Now people better stop bringing it up.
I hope what you assume is true, although it seems very possible desmond being off the island is what she is alluding to.
haha nice one mate!
THANK GOD JIN LIVES! If they got rid of Jun and kept Jate/Skate/Jacket I would kill myself! =) and YES to Locke and Sawyer living! More of my faves!
P.S. where are Claire, Desmond and Juliet? =( I'm hoping that episode 12 focuses on Claire in the future. Somehow she, like Ben, is off the island but not one of the Oceanic 6. But I'm not sure Desmond and Juliet share the same fate. =/
JIN! I can't believe this! I seriously cannot believe this!
I hope this is true, I trust you Dark :)
P.S. where are Claire, Desmond and Juliet?
I don't think we should read too much into her mentioning only Jin, Locke and Sawyer. Apart from the three you name, there are also Rose and Bernard, which are two characters I really doubt they would kill off. I'm sure there are more people alive on the island than the remaining Others and these three guys.
And may I say I'm so glad that Jin is not dead? I was a little worried.
yes, i was so relieved to read that Jin is alive. and i was also very worried that Locke was the one in the coffin, but it doesn't seem to be that way anymore! i wonder who it could be now... Ben? Michael?
If this is taken to be true, surely then we'll be getting on-island flashforward or something similar this season?
Pete, I've been thinking the same thing as well and still think we might be getting that for our season finale.
If not, I'm sure we'll be getting on-island flash-forwards next season :)
Jin Jin Jin-gle bells! =)
Admittedly, it's only 7:30 A.M. here, but Jin being alive = BEST NEWS ALL MORNING!
james and jin are alive on the island *SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE*
I am so happy to hear that Jin is alive. It is gonna be great because we will get more jin/sawyer scenes next season.
But.. where is juliet??? ...
WOW........that's cool. Well now we know why they want to get back, at least some of the O6 that is....and proves my point that Kate's the ultimate female dog. I mean, why wouldn't she want to go back there? Sorry, but unless they all think they're dead on the island (which I doubt) then she is the ultimate narcissistic swine, especially if Claire's alive on the island too.
I think Jin being alive is a huge cop-out. It makes the entire episode 'Ji Yeon' pointless.
Oh well, whatever.

====================
The episode is pretty much pointless regardless of which route it took.
If Lost recovers over the next 4 episodes (7 hours worth) than i'll gladly pretend episode 6 and episode 7 never existed :)
All it really did was confirm that Jin didn't make it off the island and that as a part of the Oceanic lie he's dead.
Sun, at that point, thinks she'll probably never see him again... so it's really the same as if he was dead.
The only question that remains is: Why the heck did Hurley bother to show up? :) Just fat-guy skinny-girl bonding time? :)
Sun needs to take lessons from Rose on how to keep on believing your loved one is out there.
Now, my bet is that the O6 are being watched continuously...so keeping up the act that Jin is dead...well, that's natural. You have to shed tears, appear all distraught, in order to keep up appearances.
Doesn't make the ep pointless...and remember...the casual viewer out there doesn't know what we know here.
Ji Yeon was totally NOT pointless!
the reason they showed Jins flashback was to show you once again what kind of man Jin was before he got to the island. he was a bad man and he didn't have much of a life to return to if he got off, he'd have sooo much trouble with Suns dad! Sun HAD to leave the Island, and i think Jin sacrificed his "spot" so someone else could leave. i knew he wasn't dead, i fought over him not being dead, and its nice to be right for once!
@Darkufo
About the list:
You are confirming it or you are speculating with her answer???
You are confirming it or you are speculating with her answer?
Hi Elaine. Confirming it :)
OK, thanks!
Great news.
Locke and Sawyer survive into the future. That's all I needed to know to be happy :)
Oh yeah, well done to the other guy too.
But if Jin's alive, why go to the grave site to "introduce" the baby to Jin? Why not just use a picture on the mantle? I can see if it's to keep up appearances with surveillance, but do they know they're being watched? Hurley didn't seem on to it until Abaddon came to him in the asylum, which is at least several months after his visit to Sun. As happy as I am to hear Jin's still alive, it deflates the emotioal effect of the episode and shows that they were just manipulating us and not really serving the story.
who knows, with all the crazy stuff on the island, like the video surveillance of Juliets sister pushing her son on a swing and ben saying it was live feed, there may be a camera in that tombstone with a live feed so Jin could see the baby.
i don't think thats the case, but i know it will be brought full circle somehow.
Well then it doesn't count as a death!! Someone is getting it! The spoiler people have been messing with us all season!
I don't think that episode was pointless. Character development is critical to the series, and in this case, we saw aspects of Jin. If I remember correctly, there was a foreshadowing element at the end where Jin indicates he'd do anything for Sun and the baby.
I guess, for many, the character development episodes may seem a bit pointless, but I thought that one had some value. It showed a side of Hurley in the future, him being happy that the others didn't come. It showed Sun learning to cope, giving her reason to go back. These tiny tidbits build into the larger story.
While they keep Sawyer and Locke alive, everything's great to me.
The one question I have is if #7 is true (that Jin, Sawyer, and Locke are alive on the island) and only one of the ten is true, then are all of the other nine false?
