I doubt anything can happen to her now, what with that mysterious backstory. Unless, of course, they decide to go the Libby route and kill her before we really get answers.
I've been saying this for ages, Claire is one of the characters LEAST likely to die.
Emilie's not been given anything interesting to act since her flashback last season, I was suspicous for too long for her future in the show, but then again she has the mysterious half-sisterhood with Jack after all, however D&C can wipe out characters very easily and without giving any good excuse such as the DUI case with Libby or when the actor finds a shiny good deal in Broadway as in Karl.

If she's got a lot of Lost left to do, why did she cut her hair? her wig looks silly.
The wig does detract from her. Maybe too much makeup these days also. She seemed more natural in earlier seasons.
Maybe I imagined this...but I saw a picture of Jorge Garcia with short hair some time ago and I suspect he's also wearing a wig.

yeah... i thought about the wig too...that is def a good point! the one thing i can think of is that she probably knew that she was not going to get a lot of screen time this season so she was well, the wig will do. that doesn't necessarily means she dies, i think....(only my speculation)
i think claire is still alive. i think that is why kate doesn't want to go back to the island in the flashforwards, cuz she knows she'll have to give aaron back to claire...

Agreed. Whatever circumstances led to Kate taking care of Aaron, either by force or through tragedy...she didn't have to look so damn pleased with herself.
My gut feeling still tells me she isn't going anywhere.

She looks so beautiful on this pic, even more this season. I so hope she not dies, we just lost Charlie and i just love Claire. She will be ok!
it seems the separation of claire and aaron come not from death but a mysterious effect of the island.
She's probably not kicking the bucket anytime soon. Death is an uninteresting avenue for exploring the identity of the Island and the fate of the remaining survivors.
Everyone should be aware by now that the speculation from the average LOST fan is always off target.
So much for Desmond's flash of Claire and Aaron getting on the helicopter.
Claire could make it as far as the freighter but not necessarily home. This would include boarding a chopper. That would reconcile Desmond's vision with the confirmed Oceanic 6.
But it looks like the Claire/Aaron seperation may actually happen en route to the beach so I dunno..
I sincerely hope we don't see Kate and Aaron boarding and are left to assume that Desmond just confused her with Kate. That would be lame.

I think Claire and Aaron might be taken to the freighter by Keamy, Omar, Frank etc and Claire disappears from the show, but doesn't die, much like Michael and Walt.
Then I think Sayid will rescue Aaron.
Then I think she will re-appear at the end of Season 6.

It's a common misconception, but we never saw all of Desmond's flashes. We only saw the ones leading to Naomi's rescue, we didn't see the lighting one, the first drowning one, the bird one, or the one concerned with Locke's speech.
So the fact that we never saw Claire on the chopper doesn't necessarily point to it being a twist. I just hope TPTB remember making that prophecy at all.

I guess I'd lose a bit of respect for Desmond if that were true, but it does kinda make sense - I don't see how they are gonna make that vision cone true without it being a complete cop-out.

I doubt it. Desmond isn't exactly the best liar in the world, and the one time he did try to deceive Charlie to get the parachuter to land it was frightfully obvious he was hiding something - not to mention that he didn't manage to go through with it. Manipulating Charlie into sacrificing himself would be a few notches beyond Desmond's capacity for that skill.
Meh. Charlie has been dead half a season, who cares?
Claire is an almost pointless character.
She's fine now. All this ruckus they're making about it? Of course, that's what I said about Charlie...

I hope Claire lives too, and i agree with what someone said earlier, death is a very uninteresting avenue for characters now. the writers have made the mistake of killing off too many characters that were promising, or could have become more interesting (a la Eko, Shannon, Mikhail etc.)
btw, i reckon Emelie de Ravin is the most beautiful person i have ever seen. definately on Lost she is. i think more people would understand this if the writers gave her an f***ing storyline!!! lmao
although that wig is mightily distracting, i agree. we should see her in the future with her hair cut like how she wears it out now.
