Wonder what the heck Camp Locke is staring at? Could it be the Smoke Monster?
The stuff about the island healing those who are in communion with it was interesting. It explains Locke, although I don't know about Rose being in communion with it.
It is interesting if you think the ones who may have been healed by the island are the ones who don't leave: Locke, Sawyer, Rose and Jin.
While Jack and Ben both need operations to save their lives and both do leave the island.

I thought it was interesting how they confirmed that everything on the island was from planet Earth, but then admitted that that was a tricky question to answer. Intriguing...
I love that Kimmel is such a great fan of the show. It certainly is a show that gets under your skin and into your blood.
That's an interesting theory, but when was that Jin injured as seriously as Sawyer/Jack/Ben/Rose ? He was knocked out twice (Ethan and Eko), and he got his wrists sore... but that's about it. Sun was knocked out once too, and yet she can get off the Island ? So, that's a slight problem with the theory (unless Jin soon receives a new injury we don't know about).
gregdean- the poster means that the island healed Jin of impotence.

It seems the only two who have been hurt pretty seriously quite a bit are Locke and Sawyer. Actually, Sawyer may have Locke beaten:
Locke was healed of paralysis [although it comes and goes when the island wants Locke to do something for it]
And Ben's gunshot wound
Sawyer was beaten and tortured by Sayid
Shot by Tom
Got an infection after Anal rubbed her dirty boot into his wound
Beaten continuously by the Others when held prisoner.
And from the promo he gets shot at by a barrage of bullets and none touch him, not to mention getting blown-up and being fine.
In short, Sawyer is like a Timex watch. He takes a licking and keeps on ticking.
Rose was healed and I don't recall her getting hurt, either.
It seems like the island decided to heal all the 815ers of their ailments as a howdy-do.
Claire got sick when Ben activated the implant he put in her so Juliet could look good by saving her, so that probably doesn't count.
But it seems like only Locke and Sawyer got serious injuries that should have killed them that didn't. If Sawyer's healing is from the island it's interesting, as Locke's healing is generally accompanied by the island wanting Locke to do something from it, and Sawyer hasn't gotten any demands from the island.
The only problem with the idea of the island healing only those it "likes" is how quickly Naomi got better from the lung injury - three days, if that. Even Mikhail mentioned the healing factor, but he never gave any qualifiers...

Well, like I said about the island healing the 815ers when they first got there, maybe it does it as a welcome to the island sort of thing, then it gets a read on Naomi and it doesn't like what it discovers, so Ghost Walt appears to Locke and tells him go kill her.
It healed her, then realized she was working for the baddy, and sent it's hitman Locke to correct the mistake it made.
Having put up with all the crap it has from Dharma and the Others, the island tries to be nice, but if it finds out your not worthy, it's "Hey, John, I've got for you to do."

Damn there goes my theory about the island or one of the losties being the final cylon.
I'm happy the so-called "Jaters" will get their moment. I just hope it's not followed with long, gushing posts about "Jate is Fate" and gloating that may invariably lead other posters to get defensive and wellll we all know what can happen. Personally, I don't really care about "Jate" since I'm not a fan of either character involved in it. But since some fans are so passionate and somewhat patient, it's nice TPTB are recognizing it and giving them something, although I'm not sure that any couples on Lost will have a happy ending by the end of the series.
Jimmy Kimmel truly is a great fan of the show. He was funny as were his interviewees. They certainly seem to know what goes on in fandom as well. Really appreciate these scans. I don't get TV Guide, so I never know when there is going to be a nice article about Lost in it. So thanks Sluky.

Everyone should read what they had to say about the nikki and paulo epi. Lost is just a tv show, they did it for satire! and thats why that episode came off funny to me rather than a horrible mistake, i could tell what they were trying to do, lost is the best at making fun of itself. You can tell through the whole thing it was a satirical look at tv shows, so i dont understand why people took it so seriously!
and "The show is gonna get wierder?!" i dont know if thats a good thing or a bad thing.
