i think Juliet dies!
better not be Juliet. She's a really great, well-rounded character. at least its not claire though. but seriously, i used to like jack, but he's worse than locke now with making decisions that affect everyone.

Figures my two faves are on there ... Locke & Desmond. If either of them goes, I will be really disappointed in the show, because I don't think their stories are anywhere near finished!
Bernard would make the most sense because he's not listed in being in the second part of the finale - but seeing since this IS the finale, I think it will be a major character death, and since we were told Jin, Locke, and Sawyer were alive on-island in the future, my money's on Juliet. A dismal epi this season for her, she hasn't really been interesting at all this season now that she's joined the losties - I think her time is up.
For Michael's sake, I hope it's Michael. He wants to die and his death will be meaningful. That doesn't mean that we will see the last of him though.
This list is absent of ONE character that I am wishing a most horrible death upon: KEAMY.
I want to see him die in a very, very nasty way.
Bernard is not even in the episode so he's off the list.
They wouldn't have the balls to kill off Locke or Sawyer so they're off the list.
This leaves Desmond, Juliet, Michael, and Jin.
I'm betting it's either Jin or Michael.
He could still die, but it's been confirmed that Michael isn't the one in the coffin. A rumour claiming he was has been marked hoax in the rumours section. How do you like them apples? :)

bernard has proven himself usefull so hopefully not him . locke is to important as is des . han sawyer cant be without his "chewie" (jin). so imo its gotta be jules or micheal. micheal is trying to save them and juliette didnt kill charolotte or faraday like she was told too which ben is probaly very pissed about. so i say jules.
ok we all know this death could be related to the "man in the coffin" scene. or not, somehow.
but the important thing is to remember there might be some hints of that in the MAJOR SPOILERS Ep.12 Part 1 Dark posted, and that some of DarkUfo addicts didn't read it.
so pay attention to not give any indication of what you have read and what you think this death might be considering what is said in the synopsis.
anyway, I don't know how you see it guys, but knowing Dark knows makes all of these polls and spoilers even more exciting. can't wait to see those episodes.
Sawyer, Jin and Locke are alive in the future just like Kristen said... unless if one of them die in the future, but a i don't belive this.
Bernard is not listed for episodes 12 and 13... so they can't make a dead scene for him.
Michael meybe is the man on the box, but a changed my mind after Dark said he was surprised about the revelation of the person on the box.
Desmond... he have a history with Penny...i don't belive ends now... unless if he is the person in the box (dying on the future)
Juliet... she is the only person that don't have any arguments to not die, and i think she history was very good told.

i don't want to sound ungrateful, but this poll is, as the kiss, somehow lame. we know that O6 survives, we know that ben survives...so the choices are too obvious. make it 3 - then it would be interesting (locke, desmond, sawyer - hoho).
t.l.a. - technically, there is much more than just "michael is in the coffin" in the rumour Dark marked as a hoax. it was an elaborate version of what will happen to michael, and dark could have put the hoax sign cause this story isn't quite accurate.
him marking it as a hoax did not necessarily mean that michael is not in the coffin. you could say he then should have put "TRUE and HOAX", but that would somehow be a confirmation.
anyway, we both know the truth about it, and actually, Dark's comment yesterday about his reaction when he learned who was in it for real is revealing enough ;-)

Don't we know for a fact Sawyer is alive on the Island? In "Something Nice," Jack and Kate make several references to him.
By the way - I believe either Bernard or Jin will die. Hopefully Jin, and not because I don't like him; rather, because if he's alive on the Island, the entire episode "Ji Yeon" would be rendered useless. If he's at least dead on the Island, it makes his grave marker meaningful.
I am really starting to think it may be Juliet. Everyone is expecting it to be Michael or Jin and I think it will be wh9o we may least expect, which could be Juilet. That being said. it better NOT be Desmond.

I think a lot of people would be really turned off if Bernard died. He and Rose are the most likeable characters on the show and represent the average person's perspective on Lost - the producers would never kill either of them off.

Juliet may die at the other's hands for setting them up in the last few episodes of Season 3......remember they spared her due to ben's plea when she killed Pickett....but going over their heads again is a death sentence and I wouldn't be surprised if Richard kills her.

Locke has outgrown his usefulness imo and we know some dramatic irony that other characters do not....ala Libby dying and the reappearance of desmond in season 2.....however it would be bold to kill him.

The most deads are not really predictable and really tragic. I think that if Bernard dies would not be very tragic. Desmonds dead could be tragic, but his backstory and his forward story with Penny is not told yet. Locke can not die cause the island would not it let happen yet. If Saywer dies many fans would not watch Lost next year. Michael is on my death list cause he is useless and i think he will blow up the ship and sacrafice him self. Jins dead would nobody find very tragic cause everyone thinks since Ji Yeon he would died before he could leave the island. I think that he came to late to the meeting point and so the though he would be dead.
Juliet could also die in the final, cause on the island she has no person who likes her and as we know she always wanted to go back the her sister. We also know that she was not on the O6 plane so she didn 't make it off the island.
I think Michael is the one who dies and he will sacrafice him self to blow up the boat.

I know some of you would consider it lame if he came back this season just to die after a couple of episodes.
myself, I like the fact he came back, it was good for the plot and I think it would have sucked if we never got to see what happened to him after he betrayed his friends and left.
but let's face it. since he returned, it was established he was here to die. so, if he somehow leaves with the O6 after completing his task, then I think he'll end up in a familiar coffin of ours, and if he isn't rescued with the others, I really don't see him back being a survivor on the island. so I think he will die in the final battle with the freighters or saving some of the losties, leaving the question of "who is in the coffin" more open than ever...

If it's Juliet, there goes our chance of ever having a fully drawn female character on the show. As if it wasn't already enough to kill off Nadia, Naomi, Elsa, Regina, Danielle and Alex this season. We already have a 3:1 ratio between the male and female characters. Why do they have to make that ratio even bigger?

I voted Bernard for "hope to die" because it would be least troubling, but all four of the likely death candidates - Juliet, Jin Desmondo, and Michael -- have so much potential for growth and development -- even after this season closes. Goes to show you what a great actress she is (if her character is the one that got killed off). When I watched DM's interviews shortly before the season 3 finale (especially the one with Kristin Veitch), I immediately knew that Charlie wasn't going to make it. Looking at EM, you wouldn't even think that she might have gotten the shaft just a few days ago.

I want Locke to die. I think it would be a great way to build the storyline for Jack in the final 2 seasons. Admittedly, I've never been a big fan of the Locke character. Too forced and unnatural, in my opinion.
As for who I think will die, I think it is probably Desmond or Juliet. I really like Elizabeth Mitchell's character, but I think they are nearing a point at which her character's potentially more useful dead than alive. That said, I could see a storyline develop with Desmond as the dead man. I'll vote Juliet.

Of course they can. Just have a side character tell Rose that Bernard got shot and that's it. To make it more believable, they can always have Rose shed a few tears scrouching at the side of a man's body without showing us his face. It's not as if they haven't killed off characters off-screen in the past. They did the same thing with Isabel in the season 3 finale.

Locke died.
The old Locke (Agent Cooper) died in the cabin (Black Lodge), and now keeps company with Claire (Laura Palmer) and Christian (Man From Another Place). The new Locke that came out is Jacob (Killer Bob). I'm only half kidding ;-) Just watch the 1991 TWIN PEAKS series finale - the candy bar scene in Cabin Fever is DEFINITELY an homage to that last 10 minutes. Anyone??? I could go ON! Long Live Lost!
Bernard's inclusion in this list worries me. I know Sam Anderson is not credited for the episode but Rose, L. Scott Caldwell, is! I hope they leave Bernard alone. He's the last Tallie. I LOVE Rose and Bernard. That would make me sad.
I remember in one of these polls one Dark included Karl on the list and I thought...KARL? Why make him a choice? That's random. Then Karl was the one who got shot first by Keamy and co.

I voted for Bernard because it's one of those character who very rarely is included in this kind of polls... and the fact that he is in it seems to me fishy. I did not vote in the other poll, as I actually don't want any more character die, but... Bernard it would make sense, IMHO.

Have to agree with the notion that Bernard's inclusion is suspicious. From a business point of view, it would have made more sense to include Claire in this poll if Bernard doesn't bite it. Her name would surely bring more hits to this website than Bernard does considering that she's a regular character.
They can kill him off quite easily without having the actor in the episode but would they dare to do it? But if I think of a "significant death" (Ausiello's words), he would make more sense to me than let's say Michael or Juliet. Bernard's death would actually have an impact on the Losties (especially someone like Jin) as well as on his wife. I doubt that anyone on that island would give a crap if Michael or Juliet bites it. They would probably say "good riddance" in both cases.
Think of it from a writer's perspective. Who has run there course? Locke defintely not, even though he makes the most sense. Sawyer is to much of a ratings catcher to ever be killed and he still has this unresolved relationship with Kate. Desmond is eventually going to be involved with trying to stop Ben from killing his Penny. Michael still has his redemption story.
Bernard, Jin, or Juliet is all that's left. My votes on Juliet, makes the most sense as to why Jack would feel guilty for leaving.

After just seeing the promo for the finale, I think it may be Sawyer.
My guess: Jin dies in the finale. I just think Sun's standing up to her father in tonight's episode (awesome scene by the way!!) is a foreshadowing of his imminent death in the next episode. Plus she said "two people are responsible for his death." they can't leave us with that!! who is the second person!! gahh!
My guess for the man in the coffin: Sayid. Just a gut. I just can't think of anybody else who nobody would attend their funeral. I'm guessing he kills himself..after Nadia's death he has nobody. And Jack feels bad because he knows what they all went through with the guilt and everything. But I'm sure Kate would hate him b/c he's working for Ben. Jack's just a softy. :)

These episodes haven't even been written yet. Anything we have heard thus far, is subject to change.
I think Desmond is only on the poll because of the scene taped with him at the funeral home. Thats all. Desmond's role in the next few episodes seems downplayed. Lost isn't the type of show to bump off such an important character like that. My guess is that the perso who dies is Jin, mainly cause it's an O6 episode and Jin is connected heavily to an O6. So it's sort of like dying in his own episode.
Come on! Juliet is nowhere to be found in spoilers and I'm so worried about her. She cannot die, she is the best female character on the freaking show!

After seeing Jin get on the Kahana with about 4 tons of C-4, I'd say his future, given the ending of Ji Yeon, is not bright at all.

I think Jin will be the one to die in the season finale. I have a feeling though that before the series finale Sawyer will ending sacraficing himself to save someone else but I dont think it will be till later. I think he still has a role to play on the island and with the whole Kate/Jack/Sawyer story.
If the person on this poll is not the same as the person on the casket poll, then I doubt it's Desmond, considering he was seen filming at the funeral parlor.
I'm sure it's Bernard. I think they Dark would never include him on a death poll if he wasn't the one who bites it. Have to say though it's gonna be rather cruel if he dies off-screen and they don't even show us his face while Rose cries her eyes out right beside him.
kmarg, I just freaked out with thinking, "Oh my god, he's going to jump out of the freaking helicopter" coupled with his name on the coffin and death polls. Why does Sawyer always have to be the one mentioned on the death poll?
Anyway, I think the island will save Sawyer's life, proving it was protecting him when all the red shirts got shot and not one bullet touched him.
I think the Chosen One will become a moot point as the island is moved back in time before the Dharma Purge and all of Dharma is still alive and in control of the island. Janitor Ben will be there, as well, which is why Ben left the island. Because two of him cannot exist on the same island in the same time. So he'll be off the island and on the island at the same time. This may be how we discover how Ben turned into what he became.
Locke will become obsessed with stopping the Purge from happening, while Sawyer tries to figure out how to move the island back in time to save all the 815ers who are trapped in a limbo land, as they didn't exist on the island back in Dharma's time and all that's left of them is whispers begging for help.
That will be the explanation for what the whispers are. They're the voices of the people who are trapped in a time limbo from the island being moved.
Instead of just viewing Dharma through the orientation films, we're going to get to see the real thing and be able to decide for ourselves if they really deserved what happened to them.
Sawyer will have to brush off his con artist skills as he has to convince Hallifax that he's a scientist so he can pick Hallifax's brain on how to move the island back to where it was, while Locke will have a whole new bunch of on island mysteries to enthrall him.
Christian Shephard may be revealed to be a member of Dharma and that he and Horace reached out through time to manipulate Locke into moving the island back in time so the DI could live again.
While we'll see the 06 off island in present time, on the island the survivors will be even more lost than they were before. Now they'll all be lost in time.
My 2c (coupled with Coffin Watch, I've spent a total of 4c on this site) :
Locke/Sawyer/Jin : I wouldn't bet on it. Not this season. I'm sure the writers would want Sun to come back to the island and killing Jin leaves her with no reason to do so. Sawyer is more likely judging by Kate's reaction to going back to the island - but I still say 'no' on all three.
Bernard - I hope not. Not because he's ultra-important to me...but it's just not that important a death on it's own...
Michael - I guess there's a good chance here. Wouldn't be a bad idea either.
Juliet/Desmond - Both very likely. Juliet more than Desmond. Both would have the impact a finale needs unlike a Michael/Bernard death. To me, at least.

So all or most of the whisperers are locked in time an wandering around on the island until they´ll be set free again - maybe by another island-move?
Just picture that: the crew of the black rock, Adam and Eve...
One thing bothers me here. How could Sawyer be able to move the island if he´s as locked in time as Christian is now? Wouldn´t Christian have done it himself then?
Anyway, if the story would go that way Lost will have one fan less.
Still I hope Sawyer bails out of the copter and survives. That would be a big sacrifice and nowbody would expect him to sacrifice his life anymore. I want him to have a happy end.
To all those who claim Juliet has served her purpose: You are quite wrong. Much like Desmond, Juliet has been on the island for three years against her will; her leaving the island will be a satisfying event, much more so than in the case of the majority of the Oceanic Six (Sun excluded). Where Desmond has Penny, Juliet has Rachel and Julian.
"The Other Woman" may have been an altogether mundane episode, but it did at least reveal Ben's real reason for bringing Juliet to the island and keeping her there for so long: his delusion of owning her. Juliet and Ben haven't had a face-off in regard to her betrayal in last season's finale; they should most definitely meet again.
If their encounter is to take place in this finale, it is fair to predict that Juliet's fate will once again be for Ben to decide. After Alex's demise, Ben may have become erratic enough to kill Juliet, but it is more likely than not that he will just prevent her from leaving the island.
As for who will actually die, my guess is that it will be Michael. The explosion of the freighter will lead Sun to believe that Jin died, but he will have in fact been saved by a self-sacrificing Michael. I also think that this will tie to Walt's appearance.
I am betting It Is desmond.Some reports suggest In filming of the escape off the Island he will be In the hellicopter.Locke,and Sawyer are too Importent to the show to be Killed.

I didn't read all of the posts because someone already spoiled part of the finale today (I sincerely hope that they were lying.) but...
The poll said "You will see someone die." This doesn't mean on the island, and it doesn't mean that this is the person in the coffin (we could see them DEAD, but not see their death scene...)
I hope Michael dies... I still haven't forgiven him for season 2 (I hold grudges.) Plus, this would work with my theory...
I think there is still some storyline left in Juliet... sometimes I get the feeling that she's "not being entirely truthful." It would be disappointing to see her die but I could live with it.
Bernard would be sad but not heartbreaking (Charlie.) I know because we already lived through his death scene once (for about 5 minutes, until we realized they actually shot the gun into the sad.)
They won't kill Locke since he is the "chosen one."
The only way I could see them killing off Sawyer is... if he did it to save Kate or Claire (who is not dead!!!) But that would be a little too much like Charlie... If they kill Sawyer or Desmond it will be the Looking Glass all over again (emotional death scene...)
Jin... we pactically know it's coming. It may not be this season, but considering he's currently standing ten feet away from a giant bomb on a freighter where someone dies practiclly every episode,... I think we may be seeing the last of him soon.
