so glad you're back andy *hug* i missed you :D
welcome back mate :)
Welcome back Dark! ODI did a great job, for the record!
The sneak peak comes in at 7:50 into the clip with about only a minute left.
wow that clip is immense - did locke mean he was going to go see them, as in go back in time and see them? or what? it sounded ominous!!!
Transcript, please?
Thanks a lot!
Welcome back Dark :) The ODI did an exemplary job, two thumbs up.
Points of interest:
Why did Jack become sick? Comparison made to Ben's tumour. Cuse: If you fall out of communion with the island, the island dosen't like that. Jack should have listened to the island.
How did Keamy and co. survive their encounter with the smoke monster? The monster has different rules for different people.
The sneak peek itself:
(Locke, Hurley & Ben in the jungle) Locke: You ever wonder what happened to the Dharma Initiative Hugo? There must have been at least a hundred of em'. Living on this island, manning the stations, building those homes, making all that ranch dressing that you like. Then one day they're all gone, just disappeared. You wanna know where we're going?
(Locke and Hurley approach ditch containing Dharma bodies)
Locke: We're going to see them.
Hurley: Woah...What happened to em'?
Locke: (Motioning toward Ben) He did.
DARK!!!
We're all glad to have you back.
Thanks again ODI and everyone else who contributes on a daily basis.
BTW--
Cabin Fever--is gonna be AWESOME!
I would recommend to watch the whole clip, the interview is very funny. Nothing really important, only that the smoke monster has "certain rules".
Cabin Fever is going to be the most intense episode in a long time.
Can we send at least a chocolate Emmy for Michael Emmerson? =)
And, yes! Dark is back, tell a friend! =))
omg, that was a great interview and a great clip. wow! :)
the smoke monster is "Smokey-American"
What a sneak peek! I'm so looking forward to this ep! :)
Welcome back Dark.
Anyway good sneak peak for a great episode.
Great clip - can't wait to see Cabin Fever.
Very intriguing. I always assumed Jacob sanctioned the purge but Locke's words here make it sound like a wayward venture by Ben. This episode is going to be intense. Maybe Jacob asks John to kill his predecessor? ;)
What's with all the sceletons drowned in mud in the pit?
I want Terrence Howard on Lost.
T.L.A., may I ask you to make a transcipt for second Sneak Peek? Thank you a lot!
Welcome back Dark. Hope u had a good time? ODI, u did a fantastic job in Dark's absense!!
The smoke monster has different rules!! WTF!!
Episode 4.11 - Cabin Fever - Sneak Peek
07:47 - 08:38
I thought Locke was looking down at something in the previous sneek peek!! I am really gonna enjoy that Dharma pit scene with Locke, Hurley & Ben.
I love watching Kimmel!!
locke says "wanna know where we're going? we're going to see them." - Jacob was part of dharma? dharma people are in the cabin? wha?
Second sneak peek:
Desmond: That injured man..that was no gunshot. What do you think happened to him?
Sayid: I don't know. But when they go back they'll be certain it dosen't happen again.
Gault: Omar! Keamy wants you in the armory.
Omar: He said I wasn't supposed to let those two out of my sight.
Gault: I'll watch them, Go!
Gault: (To Sayid and Des) There's a pantry beneath our gulley with enough room for two men. I've left you a supply of food and water. You need to go there.
Sayid: Michael, is he dead?
Gault: No, but not for lack of bloody trying. Which is precisely why you two need to be hiding before Keamy comes back on this deck.
Sayid: Hiding is pointless, give us your zodiac raft so we can start ferrying people back here from the beach. The only way to save our lives is to get our people off that island.
Whoa! Gault is trying to help our guys????? Awesome!
Welcome back, Dark. Hope you had a good break because you'll need to be in shape for Finale Madness. :)
welcome back dark! :)
Sayid have a mission!
Very interesting developments regarding Gault. Is he yet to be trusted though?
And why am I not surprised Keamy's answer to a problem is to visit the armory and stock up on more weapons. Someone please tell me when this guy dies so I can mark it on my calendar :/
Thanks everyone for the welcome back and thanks especially to The ODI for looking after things :)
Welcome back, Dark. Hope you had a good rest. Many have said it, but Odi did an excellent job covering you up.
This interview was so funny, Terrence Howard is such a cool guy. Definitely worth watching. The sneak peek was very good two, it doesn't reveal anything new but gives us the idea that this episode is going to be indeed intense as T.L.A. said. The way Ben look at them is so "teen" like. It always amazes me how dual this guy can be, he's an evil genius but such a boy at the same time.
The second sneak peek was very good too. This guy, Keamy, is by all means a very dangerous piece on this game. Even Gault, as badass as he seems to be is very cautious when it comes to him.
I'm counting on Ben burning Keamys toothface before throwing him into the boats engine propellers. At least I hope someone does.
With Keamy still alive, Sayid's plan to get the survivors off the island and onto the freighter is just as bad as leaving them on the island. Wouldn't Keamy simply shoot whomever got off the zodiac?
BTW, funny and weird to see Doc Ray behind as they talk... XD
The time gap is kind of big, isn't?
I suppose we'll watch him die on this episode.
Welcome back Dark, great to have you back, dude are you up to the madness?
I'm starting to think that Gault desperately decides to leave (or has to leave) port for home right as the Oceanic Six board, stranding Keamy, Omar, Dan, Miles, Charlotte, Frank, and the remaining survivors.
Yay!! Your back - Thanks for posting these - Hope you had a great holiday x
@ Ana
Yeah, I desperately wanna tell Doc Ray to watch his back! :/
Gault displays two noticeably different demeanors in that clip alone. And he has no reason whatsoever to be concerned about Des and Sayid. The way he lowers his voice and discards the menace when he speaks with them is in classic double agent style.
@Ryan
Yeah, I also think that's what's going to happen, because after the O6 leave, the island is going to need a "replacement". BTW, those you name are six too. If it comes to happen that way, do you think it would be coincidence?
Welcome back Dark:)
@T.L.A.
Yeah, same feeling here and seems his death won't be an easy one for sure. I still don't understand why among all those people the killer chooses the doctor.
What you say about Gault has a lot of sense, because there are no reasons for him to be concerned about Sayid and Des.
The other Capt. Gault, the one of the books is an ambiguous person when it comes to morals. He's a smuggler who only cares about money but has a very strict moral code.
Here's another info from wikipedia that could give us some ideas: "The Captain Gault stories tend to follow several patterns. Most of the stories are about smuggling, usually involving a great deal of cleverness; often the plot centers around information that is known to Captain Gault but not provided to the reader. There is usually some kind of misinformation or even play-acting performed for the misdirection of customs officials. Sometimes the deception is in sleight-of-hand; sometimes it is in the Captain's choice of hiding place (which may be in plain sight). In many of the stories the customs officials or other law-enforcement personnel involved are told about the plot. Sometimes Gault's own confidants are fed misinformation so that they can reveal it, as part of the deception. The stories usually end with a smug Captain Gault explaining the plot, sometimes over dinner, and sometimes by letter."
I wouldn't be surprised if he's just tending to the injured merc and Keamy just takes out his frustrations on him. We know this guy loves an easy target.
That description could certainly be our Captain Gault alright. The guy knows way more than he's letting on. And I think his hostility is an act for the benefit of Keamy, Omar and co. The beatdown he delivered a few episodes back now looks like a part of said act. I think Lapidus could well be part of it too.
Yeah, he has to look like a cold blooded bastard for Keamy the frog and his combo, otherwise, they would show no respect to him and would treat him the way they treat Frank. I also think, as you, that Frank could be a part on this. He's a good guy but not a stupid one and he will play a major role on all this.
Here are some other theories found on Lostpedia:
* Captain Gault is Naomi's "R.G."
* Captain Gault is the man who is/was engaged to Penelope.
* The unsurprised look on his face as Sayid reveals Michael's treachery is due to Gault already knowing Michael's real story.
o Gault is possibly a "double agent" working for both Widmore and Penelope, who has no intention in harming the 815ers - maybe he supported Michael in his efforts to sabotage the ship or at least didn't punish him because he knew who Michael really was. In this case "don't trust the Captain" could have been written by someone entirely else than Michael, as everyone expected, for example Lapidus.
Thanks for the sneak peeks!!
I am so looking forward to next episode, I know it's hard to believe but I feel so relieved in letting the shipper thing go, you wouldn't believe how nice it feels not caring so much anymore. Of course I still care, but not as much as I did. And it's good!
And the Darlton interview @ Kimmel is a useful lecture for many ppl here too - me included. I mean, they're nice and everything but let's not forget that a lot of the stories told in Lost and the characters development are somehow based on the actors' contracts! This Smokey inconsistency (killing Eko but letting the freighties live) it's due to the fact that they had to kill Eko to get rid of the actor asap (same with Micheal killing Ana, unfortunately).
I honestly don't know how much they have in mind about the upcoming seasons. I strongly doubt that they have a plan for them. They have for sure a general idea but they haven't got a clue about the characters, how could they?
As for hairy Foxy and shaved Foxy, I was so glad they made fun at it like I did, because when I did it with some members of the blog (skaters and non) we were basically told we were being shallow.
If Darlton and Kimmel do it, it's hilarious, so I guess I must have their same sense of humour then. Good for me!
ps. Welcome back Dark!
How was Cornwall?
How many cream teas did you have??
Oh God I miss them so much!
Strawberry jam and clotted cream and scones..... *yum*
Ryan said... I'm starting to think that Gault desperately decides to leave (or has to leave) port for home right as the Oceanic Six board, stranding Keamy, Omar, Dan, Miles, Charlotte, Frank, and the remaining survivors.
==========
If they end the season on that, I'd cry. That'd be so cruel.
eli - "I know it's hard to believe but I feel so relieved in letting the shipper thing go, you wouldn't believe how nice it feels not caring so much anymore"
wooh, i'm suprised. lol :) can i ask why you dont care as much anymore? surely you'd be even more excited about jate now? :) :)
@isabelle
I still like them you know, they're still my favourite couple on the show, I adore Foxy (well who doesn't know by now!) and Evi too, so it' still the couple I am going to support but I just grew tired of this taking and leaving, this love saga isn't really for me...It started before the episode aired, I realized that in this season nothing went the way I expected it to be (Jate-wise) and so I am not adapting my sensitivity to the authors'. (it's difficult to explain). They decided to go this way with the story but I didn't like it. This 4th season has been awkward, mainly due to the FF.
Who know maybe in S5 and S6 I'll become a hardcore jater again!
When I saw 4x10 I was really happy but not as much as I thought I would be...as I said, maybe the upcoming seasons will feature Jate scenes that will blow me away!
Never say never!
But I was in paradise when I saw Foxy with that towel, yes, that made me REALLY happy, but it's nothing like seeing Jack and Kate in The Man from Tallahasse. This was one of the best magic Jate moments :)
ps. But if I were a Skater I would react the same! You had awkward moments and nothing more in S4 - until now- of course. Be realistic. Sounds like the authors are really taking the piss out of us (ships-wise of course).
best or magic, lol, sorry, I have to choose.
I'll go for magic!
eli - i get what you mean and thats fair enough. :) i was disappointed for you guys that you didnt get to see a first date, first off island kiss, first (or any) sex scene etc. do you think you would feel differently if you had got to see all that?
"Sounds like the authors are really taking the piss out of us (ships-wise of course)."
i totally agree!!! :)
Sayid makes a great decision, yet again. He's the clearly the smartest LOSTIE
Sayid: Micheal, is he dead?
Gault: No, but not for lack of bloody trying.
Very interesting. Is Michael unkillable by anyone?
Hey Dark!! Hope you had a good vacation! :)
Wow they're really not letting us forget about that finale kiss are they?
@isabelle
Well, I thought they even showed TOO MUCH!!
They had this sexy post-coital morning kiss in the bathroom after the red lacy panties hint - I knew they were hers!
They made out in the corridor with the butt-grabbing scene when I almost fell off my chair (I so wanted to know what happened after the butt-grub..honestly, this tv serials have to become more real!) and then they got engaged!
I think it was even too much!
And do you honestly think it's over because she revealed to a drunk Jack that she was doing a favour to Sawyer?
Skate and Jate will be both given alternative until the end, this is what pissed me off, but well before this episode aired! I told you, after Eggtown, I had this feeling of 'whatever happens in these two next seasons is fine by me', I am not going to be disappointed anymore! It's not worthy!
But seeing these two making out, of course it's great! Imo, they're perfect! And I still think that at the end of the show Jack and Kate will be together as Adam and Eve, I could bet some money on it!
@Selina
Hahaha, definitely not, specially Damon, as he is the one who seems to be more excited about it... both are, anyway. I can't wait and I'm indeed hoping for something very very spectacular.
eli - "And do you honestly think it's over because she revealed to a drunk Jack that she was doing a favour to Sawyer?"
i think the relationship is over, but jate isnt. they will have their jatey scenes, just like skate will, but i think that they wont get back together. just my opinion. :)
i see what you mean, that they showed too much, but imo, they didnt show the things in the right order. all of their "firsts" should have been shown in the right order, as now (if they show them) they will have less impact as we know what happens after. :)
about adam and eve...dont even get me started on that! lol. i just seriously fail to see how any of the losties can be adam and eve. i dont think the time travel works like that at all. i think adam and eve are just two people that died ages ago, maybe dharma or something. :) :) :)
I think I must be stupid because I remember Capt. Gault having an American accent.
Oh no, Maynard, Capt. Gault never had an American accent, has always been very British.
OH! I spot Doc Ray!
Good sneak peaks....this episode looks awesome!
captain gault is australian
Hahaha, yeah, that's right, sorry, my mistake ;)
It's funny to me because I was reading about Widmore in Lostpedia and in the unanswered questions section there's this one: "When he was talking with Ben, why was he speaking with a slight Australian accent rather than his normal British one?"
I ended up mixing it all... too much information XD
elisabetta- While it's been reported the Adewale (Eko) was written out so suddenly due to his desire to leave the show and "move on to new things" or whatever, I sincerely doubt they would go about it in a way that was inconsistent with the overall storyline...it seemed as if the monster's attack on the mercenaries was more of just him being let loose by Ben to run wild and wreak random havoc in a specified area (Darlton themselves casted doubts on how MUCH control Ben had over Smokey in the first place beyond "summoning" him)...whereas Eko was more of a planned assassination-type thing. AND its been stated in several interviews that Michelle Rodriguez had initially joined the cast with an agreement that she would only do the show for one season...I took this and other recent mentions of killing off characters because of "driving issues" as mere tongue-in-cheek type making fun of themselves humor since that's what so many people had been saying for so long...
I agree that to SOME degree the individual paths of certain characters have some wiggle room but now, especially with an end date in sight, I am pretty convinced that those two have a quite clear perception of who's going to live and who's going to die and when it's going to happen. If someone quit or died in real life or something, then obviously they'd make accomodations for that, but like they said they always had plans for Michael to come back on the boat (just another example) but simply didn't know when it would be exactly...and I believe em.
But hey, to each their own, as long as you're enjoying the ride who am I to judge your own opinions. Just felt like offering my own two cents for whatever they're worth. And I sure as hell don't presume to know everything either and could easily be way wrong but hey, that's sort of the fun of it isn't it?
jimmy kimmel is awesome. Jack's chest hair-or lack there of is glorious. Welcome back Andy ♥ Not sure which i missed more, you or those nifty ticker updates up top. I'm gonna say ticker, but you rock too.
Terrance would have been better than rabbit headed Harold.
"There are consequences to being chosen."
Wonder what they are. That line just gives me shivers. Although I'm sure if the island requires Locke to cut off a certain part of his anatomy to be chosen he'd have no problem with it.
As obsessed with the island as Locke is, I doubt any consequences will be too high for him to pay.
Note the Doc on the freighter ^^
It has very much to do with what Michael Emerson said in that past interview about the fact that everything has a price and the fact that Locke is going to realize it.
I think that being a chosen one has a lot to do with the way Ben is, the way he acts and how he relates to other people. Is like you have to forget about your own needs and feelings to do whatever is asked from you. Your ultimate goal is the island, nothing more. That can make you be followed by many but also hated. For me, being a chosen one, has very much to do with being a servant.
It's also very probable I'm wrong. There's nothing certain with Lost :)
A huge reveal right there.
Locke now knows that Jacob is a collective of all the Dharma people's souls.
In the ABC promo the narrator said:something about a man and his destiny with tha camera on Locke, The man who was killed by Ben is talking with Locke and I'm not sure what is he telling maybe: he had been waiting for a really long time. These two things make me think in Locke as the chosen one but... I read I don't remember where that Locke can't talk with Jacob cause he don't find him....then who is the chosen one? My guess Claire and Sawyer are going to find Jacob so one of them are the chosen one...to me Claire is not, just her is the way that Jacob uses to bring Sawyer to the cabin so Sawyer is the chosen one. Jacob tried to bring Sawyer before, when he was talking with Hurley but He failed and to me there was another attempt before...
Ana:
"Hahaha, definitely not, specially Damon, as he is the one who seems to be more excited about it... both are, anyway. I can't wait and I'm indeed hoping for something very very spectacular."
I know! I'm really hoping against hope for Desmond/Penny because hyping up either Jate or Skate so much is just kind of unfair for the other side. It's like saying Kate had made her emotional and definitive choice after I Do though she hadn't (that still annoys me, cause it clearly wasn't the end of the triangle - though of course principally I'm happy that it wasn't), and I don't know, a Jate kiss would hardly be spectacular to anyone but Jaters after this episode, but a Skate kiss could hardly be spectacular to anyone but the Skaters after this episode, because we know that Kate said yes to Jack etc. So I'm sooo hoping the kiss Damon is so excited about (he's so sweet! It's hard to forget about shipping when they keep bringing it up isn't it? ;)) is like, more "neutral", like Desmond/Penny or Sun/Jin!
Off romance, the sneak peeks were so intriguing! Taking Hurley to the mass grave was a very random move imo, unless they are going back to where the cabin was originally - I really hope that Locke will find his footing soon, poor Terry O'Quinn, this is like season 2 Locke. Maybe this is the episode where it changed for him though, seeing as it's his flashback! And what's this about Michael not being dead for lack of trying, and the only way to save Sayid and Desmond is to get everyone off the island?? That made no sense, and I can't wait to hear what that's all about! I'm so excited!
daisy: Very interesting. Is Michael unkillable by anyone?
Something like that. The island doesn't want Michael to die.
Count me with darkstream above. Terence Howard would've made an awesome Michael. Different acting style entirely, more low key, but a very intense actor when he needs to be. Harold has always left me cold.
Great clips and welcome back, DarkUFO.
O.K. just to a little info on the captains accent it is australian and it is very very different to an english accent and I must say thank god they are using australain actors to portray australians no offence as the accents in the past have been hysterical. Oh and the actor actual was born a New Zealander but has lost his new zealand accent (yes there is a difference) as he has been living and acting in Australia for a long time. He is actually in a Aussie t.v. series showing at the moment called Canal Road.
so was mike on the island with the squad?
why did omar look at his sat fone?
why did gault want sayid&desmond to hide from keamy?
SawyerRules, I think it's too obvious for Locke to be the Chosen One. I think Claire is the bait to lure Sawyer to Jacob's cabin, otherwise why leave Aaron behind. Yeah, I know he's an 06, but story-wise wouldn't Jacob want both Aaron and Claire if she was the chosen.
Someone did a post called Ghost Claire under forum and you should read it. It'll make you go hmm.
At the same time Ben's words that there are consequences to being chosen kind of freak me out. So maybe it would be better if Locke is the Chosen One so he can face the ominous consequences.
Still, it just seems to obvious and Darlton loves to do shocking twists. There's Locke all poised to become the Chosen when bum bum bum Jacob says, your not the chosen, he is [enter Sawyer, who I don't think will be thrilled by it, at all.].
Just like Kate talking to Cassidy on the phone seems too obvious. Of course, maybe they plan to whack Cassidy and Kate will end up raising Sawyer's child.
@Selina
Yeah, hahaha, the way Damon talks about it is very cute, really. As much as some people hate this aspect of Lost, it is important... unless they are trying to keep people busy with the kiss discussion XD
@Shazz
Yep... oops, I made the mistake about Gault. Thankfully Isabelle pointed it out, haha... I got my cables mixed as I've been reading a lot about Widmore but writing about Gault at the same time... there was this question of the way Widmore kind of changed his accent for an slightly Australian one when he spoke with Ben and I was trying to find more about it... and then made the post, and well, those things happen, hahaha...
BTW, maybe Australia is indeed the key... maybe is no mistake Widmore had this slightly Australian accent in his encounter with Ben... mmm...
Locke now knows that Jacob is a collective of all the Dharma people's souls
I don't think it's that simple. It's still very likely that Jacob pre-dates everyone.
In the first preview, they show us AGAIN the dead body with, what apears to be, a shotwound in the skull.
I noticed it the first time, but now that they show it again, it MUST mean something. I guess that there was more to the purge than we think there was. There is even another clue: one of the Dharma guys had a pistol on his belt. What's up with that? They're supposed to be peaceful and hippie-like, right?
Ohhh, maybe Locke was supposed to be the chosen one, but when Sawyer killed his father instead of Locke, Sawyer took over the roll...
I think Cabin Fever will put to bed any doubts that Locke is not the 'chosen one' (for lack of a better term).
Locke definitely has a big role here, I think he's the chosen one, I want him to be the chosen one. Would be so disappointing, I mean, after all he's gone through... I think that if he has nothing important to give to the island he will be lost for real, it would be his end as the Locke we know :(
t.l.a. said...I think Cabin Fever will put to bed any doubts that Locke is not the 'chosen one' (for lack of a better term).
Hope you are right. The only alternative I can see to being the ‘chosen one’ is Aaron.
But Locke went through so much the last two seasons I almost hope it is him. Maybe the mission of the ‘chosen one’ is to protect Aaron who will become kind of a leader in the future. Given the many beautiful and touching scenes he shared with Aaron and Claire that would be awesome imo.
So ‘the chosen one’ would not be a leader but more a keeper of the island and the mysteries. I would like that. I think it would be the perfect job for Locke.
Yeah, exactly, being the chosen one is being the island's protector. Ben would be the one doing the job as they waited for this person to come.
That's why he needed to get rid of Cooper, because that was his biggest flaw, his biggest distraction to commit fully with this role he's now going to fulfil. And the better, in the process, he helped Sawyer solve his long awaited revenge too.
I like to think of Sawyer more like a soldier. He's unconsciously serving to the island purposes as well.
the question that is boggling me right now is the return back to the island on the Zodiac Raft. If Gault allows Sayid and Desmond to use the raft we will see yet another time shift (if the bearing isn't followed) which will line us up for the next episode format convention. We know that the codename is 'frozen donkey wheel', it reminds me of a blinkered mule unable to turn the mill. I think that we will see a time loop issue in the finale where scenes are replayed and time shifts occur depending upon the consequences of character actions. Basically, people can 'co-exist' on and off the island. I think the big massive ending will be the sight of an off island Sawyer who we know is still on the island. Considering he is the longest running character without a flash coupled with his integrity and popularity seems feasible. It keeps the love triangle working and explains some phenomena that we have seen this season.
@ana
I agree. The picture of Sawyer as a soldier is a very appropriate one.
@Carly
I once read a quote, sadly, I don't know by who or where, but I think it very much applies to Sawyer.
"A soldier often works twice as hard as a civilian, drawing half the pay and finding ironic humor in it all"
tomshep - "I think the big massive ending will be the sight of an off island Sawyer who we know is still on the island."
i totally agree. and i agree with your reasoning for it too. i would be seriously shocking (for people who don't read spoilers or guess), and it would keep alot of people (including ME) happy. :)
hey everybody sorry i'm late
i cant wait to see this cabin fever, we get to see the real chosen one go on his path. and he's already teaching his knowledge of the islands history to hurley, in true leadership fashion. if your special enuff to see the cabin then your alright with me
@Isabelle
I mean, the whole 'rules' system seems to fit, if you don't have a constant then you get unstuck in time and die. The O6 are in the public eye because they cannot shift (unlike Ben did in 'shape of things to come' and like Sawyer will in future episodes). Scenarios are replayed until course correction chooses the outcome that the island desires. The course correction happens however only when you leave or enter the islands barrier.
I'm sure that there will be an off island non O6 Sawyer who can flip between island and real world. It has something to do with the Orchid and If I was going to pick a badass time lord who was doing the islands bidding it would be Sawyer.
Unbeknown to Jack, Sawyer is around and Kate can't tell anyone. Maybe she is his chosen constant.
Talking about Aaron, did you saw the way he calmed for a few seconds when Sawyer took him and only started crying again when he screamed for Claire?
I think Sawyer and Aaron have some kind of bonding, I don't know what kind, though, but I think that back then, when Charlie discovered that the baby only stopped crying when he heard Sawyer's voice, that was meant to be something more than cute or funny.
If you read "Nice Guys Finish Last" review by Luhks, there's a very nice paragraph on the subject, the way he protects them is almost instinctive, well, better said, a life impulse.
doc ray can be seen in the background!!!!
IS KEAMY OR GAULT IN CHARGE HERE???
Ana, after Hurley's comment about Jack not supposed to raise Aaron, someone wondered if Sawyer is the one who is supposed to raise him.
Ana, your soldier analogy is great. I remember Darlton said the survivors would have to fight to protect the island, but the only one who is doing that is Sawyer. Ben and Locke didn't. Jack isn't. Sayid isn't. Hurley isn't. Sawyer was the only one out there fighting.
@Sockerock
Yeah, I mean, Claire is definitely the one who has to raise him but I think Sawyer, having that connection with him, has a part to take on it too. And when I say this, I don't think it's going to be by forming a couple with Claire, because I can't truly see the romantic connection between them, but in the sense I think he's going to become their protection.
Sawyer: Don't even think about it.
Miles: What?
Sawyer: Don't look at her... don't talk to her, don't mess with her... you got a restraining order, 20 ft.
Miles: What are you? Her big brother?
Sawyer: No... I'm the guy who's gonna put a boot in your face unless you say 'Yeah, I get you'
Miles: Yeah, I get you.
The tone he used with Miles evoked a lot of respect and a warning. He's certainly not playing games, very soldier like. I mean, even his facial expressions and body movements have changed.
So, yeah, Sawyer is one of the pieces the island is using right now. After Locke finishes his journey, I think we'll find out further on the roles each one of them will play.
I'm actually beginning to wonder if when Locke goes to see Jacob instead of being lauded for being the chosen one, he's going to face judgment day, instead.
Ever since they suddenly revealed Sawyer's mother was named Mary, and there's the physical resemblance between Sawyer and Jesus, I've thought Sawyer is going to be the Chosen One.
I did some research and John the Baptist came before Jesus and was at first believed to be the chosen one, but he was to make the way for Jesus. And Jesus was supposed to rule over the House of Jacob.
So I really wonder if that's the way the writers are going with this.
ana more clearing up on the accent hahaha!Widmore is the australian actor Alan Dale who was once in our soapy Neighbours I thought he actually slipped in and out of his english accent and native australian accent during that Ben confrontation or was it deliberate? There is more to the significance of Australia I wonder if it could be something to do with aboriginal spirits or dreamtime? just a thought!
@Shazz
Thank you! I didn't know he's Australian (didn't check the actor's profile, lazy me, hahaha).
He has such a deep voice it makes it difficult for me to notice the difference, so when Lostpedia pointed it out, that left me wondering.
I don't know if I'm too picky, maybe is the fact that because he's Australian but his character is British, his accent slipped, I mean, is very difficult to change your accent and keep it that way while you are trying to deliver certain personality/character or emotion and that scene wasn't an easy one for sure.
The thing is Lost makes us investigate and doubt about everything and that makes me think at the same time there are no coincidences or "obvious" mistakes. Of course, those could be distractions made on purpose too...
So, I still believe Australia plays a bigger role here and the Australian Aboriginal Dreamtime could indeed give us some hints.
I don't like the look of Ben's eye.. He looks like he wanna harm John or something.. It's pure evil in his eyes..
Still not getting what is going on in the freighter episode. desmond & sayid see the guy on the stretcher, i think sayid really knows what it is but desmond might not so he's just keeping his mouth shut to keep desmond calm. omar isn't to leave either one of them out of his site and all of a sudden the captain wants to be friendly to sayid, which is understandable as he helped turn in michael, regardless of whether gault knew about it or not (perhaps it was keamy or somebody finding out before sayid that prompted the barracks attack more than anything the science team did, i.e. turning off the gas).
gault is suggesting that they both hide in the lower section of the freighter, sayid wants to take the inflato-raft and go get his people off the island. it seems like keame wants to kill everyone, killing everyone is pretty much what gault wants, b/c sayid and desmond are on the freighter, they get a free pass.
don't understand what gault is gonna say to sayid wanting to take all the 815ers off the island? where are they gonna hide? if it's possible to bring them to the freighter why not just talk to keame and tell him to wait until after sayid and desmond come back with everyone, however many trips that takes.
but, without the 815ers theres nobody left but ben, who has basically gone underground, especially if he's in the cabin, so if they're looking to kill everyone its 815ers by default, the freighters don't know where the others are do they? i thought they shot up the barracks b/c thats where they knew ben & his people lived. they might still think that .
maybe gault will let sayid and desmond take the boat b/c he knows or assumes they will never make it, and once they row off to their doom, gault gives keame the thumbs up to torch the island.
I just have to say at this point... even though no one will read it...
Alan Dales accent WAS NOT SLIGHTLY AUSTRALIAN!!! IT WAS SLIGHTLY NEW ZEALAND!
*sigh*
