WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALT !!!!!
Awesome!
Wait...its the guy from the arctic listening post isn't it?
I wish Walt was never in another episode.
Wow I've been waiting for this press release for two weeks. Not bad at all, a little small for what I was hoping but the guest list looks amazing.
Henrik? I guess this proves that the island will be moving to the arctic.
I think Walt is great. I'd rather have more of Walt's story than Aaron's.
WALT!
MARVIN CANDLE!
PENNY!
MICHAEL'S MUM!
RICHARD!
gonna be one awesome finale. =D
Who is Henrik? *feels dumb*
WAHAHAAAALT!!!!!!!!!!!
Henrik is one of the guys in the arctic station who calls Penny and tells her, "I think we've found it."
I just IMDB'd the Henrik actor...
it's the guy that looks like Jack from the Arctic Station that was working for Penny..
I don't think that really proves the Island's moving to the Arctic, there's endless amount of possibilities as to why he's in the finale.
It looks amazing, how is Marvin Candle going to fit in this? I SERIOUSLY hope he's IN the episode, not IN an Orientation Film IN the episode.
i dont mind seeing walt as long as we dont have to listen to micheals "waaaaaaaaaaaalt".
and yay, penny!!! i hope her a des get reunited, but would it be cool if des leaves just as penny arrives? that will drag the reunion out another season or two lol :)
Wiii Walt & Penny & Michael's mom (again, why?) & also the arctic guy!!!!
Wonder why Chau is being referred to as Marvin Candle instead of Dr. Halliwax (if we're going to see the Orichid video, that would be the logical thing), maybe this means he's on the freighter or with Penny or something else?
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLTTT!!!
(peer pressure)
Holy crap! This looks very good! Walt, Richard, Marvin Candle.. I think this will be a very good episode! Anyone disaggre? ;)
looks like Penny and Jack-lookalike arrive on the island. How many days has it been aince Des and Penny phoned? Maybe she has her own spy on boat?
But where the f... is Bernhard, he can't disappear like that?
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSs
HENRIKKKKKKKKKKKKK
its better than WALTTTTTTTT no?
omg so weird for me to see françois in my screen now lol
Walt will probably appear in the FF,2 years into the future. But how and where. Maybe he will appear to say goodbye to a certain person in a coffin? Just after Jack left. We will say a similar coffin scene, Jack just leaing, and Walt and his grandma arriving...hm, I have a certain idea who could finally be in this coffin
It's been 5 days since Desmond called Penny at her home. While it's possible that she got on a plane immediately and landed on a boat near the island, I'm moreso thinking that her appearance along w/ Henrik's is either off-island (or the 06 rescuer, which from the photos we've seen doesn't happen on-island). If Penny were to be on the island like so many people are speculating, then she'd pretty much have to be a regular cast member next season, which she can't be due to being a lead actress on the HBO show 'Tell Me You Love Me.'
It looks like this is a Michael flashback to me. Damon said several weeks back that we would see exactly what happened to Michael between leaving the island and arriving in Manhattan. There may be another Jack flashforward mixed in but it seems most of the O6-centric stuff is going to be dealt with in 4x12.
Henrik? I guess this proves that the island will be moving to the arctic.
Yep, just like the return of Michael proved that Michael didn't really leave the Island after all.
DOINK! Come on, folks!
When has an actor ever appeared on Lost exactly as we expected?
i think michael's mom appearing in this episode will be in an effort to explore 1 of 3 possibilities:
1) since it appears to be multi centric, perhaps we will find out more about how michael directly got off the island and what happened inbetween then and when we saw him in his flashback episode... where it seemed him and his mom were not on best of terms
or
2) she will be involved in some sort of scene that unveils to us that it is michael who was in the coffin. besides jack and the rest of the oceanic 6, i think she would be the only person who would have any care about michael's death
or
3) she is present during the return of the oceanic 6 to the LA and attempts to try to communicate with some of them in order to find out what really happened. she is the only non-main character who knows that something involving the survivors is not right
no bernard : (
Marvin Candlewickwax is BACK, mothereffers!
OMG!!!!
Walt , Alpert , Christian , Henrik , CANDLE
OMG!!!
Can't Wait!!!
OH CRAP. This is amazing.
But where's the funeral director? I thought he was supposed to be in it so we find out who is in the coffin?
With Henrik and Penny there..., this could be the comfirmation that Penny and her team will be involve in the rescue.
@Josh
I suspect it's either #3 or a combination of #2 and #3. Grandma Dawson was extremely annoyed that Michael wouldn't tell her what happened to him and Walt, and seeing the return of the Oceanic Six all over the news would make her even more confused and suspicious.
On other note, there may be other guest stars who have been withheld from the press release. In fact, we know that the guy who played the funeral director in TTLG was asked back and that they've been filming at the funeral parlor location, and yet he's not listed here.
And where is Greg Grunberg? Wasn't there a rumor that the pilot would be seen again?
Christian again? I like him but he really isn't good for any of his children.
So according to these press releases, no Bernard for the rest of the season? :( How are they going to swing that? If both Rose and Bernard choose to stay behind, only showing one of them just won't cut it...
And I'll second what someone said above....I think the presence of both Walt and Mrs Dawson seems to confirm a theory I've been predicting for a while: we never saw the end of the funeral home sequence...we left Jack standing at the coffin.
My guess, he'll turn to leave, and see Michael's mom, and a teenaged Walt standing there.
Good point!
The furneral guy and the pilot isn't mentioned. :/ Whats happened here then.
Dark can you confirm that at least one of these is going to be in the finale?
Well we know from recent filming photos that the funeral parlour is going to be seen again. I suspect that not everyone is on the press release or he does not have a speaking role.
No idea about Greg Grunberg.
Jack did leave at the end of the funeral scene in through the looking glass...but I reckon there's someone else in the room throughout that whole scene.
I reckon Walt was always there, standing behind the curtain where the funeral director comes from, wstching Jack's reaction.
Hmm good point. People were hidden from last years finale press release, i.e Walt and Sarah
So im guessing that the pilot is hidden but again, wont have a speaking role like in "Confirmed Dead", sure the funeral director will have a speaking part.
Thanks Dark
Des and Penny realising that 'spectacular kiss' against the background of a purple sky :)
Or not.
Whatever happens, if this finale can ride the momentum then it's going to be something special.
I just want to join the club and say:
WAAALLLLLLT!
No Bernard? :(
so then no Jacob in the finale??
WAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLTTT!!!
I'm going to be humming "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" for two weeks now.
Damn.
I s'ppose we as audiences will be having a casting flashback. :D I've missed Dr. Marvin Candle, also Penny, Charles, and guess what... WALT! I'm sure he appeares to Locke for a new information. OMG, that's been like one whole year since we haven't seen Walt yet (people claim that the Walt that is seen on 408 is not Malcolm David). Dr. Marvin Candle might probably be seen on the station video of Orchid, which is believed to be playing a BIG ROLE in finale.
No shocks about Christian, Charles and Richard. But the guest list gives away (IMO) the person in the coffin... Michael perhaps? Otherwise why would we be seeing his mother?
Pls. no Michael in the coffin. It's so lame...
Just a small correction to the people who said Henrik was the one who looked like Jack. He was actually the other one. Mathias was the one that looked like Jack.
Michaels not in the coffin for many reasons.
1. Michael is going back to the Island so he can die, so why would he ever leave again? And even if he did leave, he would kill himself as soon as he could, not wait 2 years.
2. Michaels mother is really going to travel all the way from NYC to go to Michaels funeral when he has a different name? Thats like her reading the paper going, "Hey Walt! Your Dad's fake name was John Latham (or whatever name it is) right?! Lets go to L.A. and go to this funeral parlor." lol
3. No one who has been on the Island has died after getting off the Island. Jack couldn't do it in "Through the Looking Glass", which was after he finds out about the persons death. So Michael could die and Jack can not? makes no sense.
The person in the coffin is no one whos been on the Island.
Cid, great post!
Hinrik is the one in the right side of this picture : http://images.lostpedia.com/images/2/2e/ListeningMen.jpg
Michael in the coffin would be the obvious and maybe therefore a bit lame (esp. to spoiler addicts!) but (sorry Harold) I really don't want it to be anyone else...pls not Sayid or Ben! The only thing that would make it cool for me would be if Ben had faked his own death (presuming he was living under an assumed name that Jack was aware of, he could have killed some random person and set it up so everyone thought it was him - maybe paying off the super or whovever it was that found the body, or better still paying the original super to leave so the new one had no idea what he looked like).
"The person in the coffin is no one whos been on the Island."
I completely disagree - why else would we be bothered?
For some reason...I've always thought (well since "Confirmed Dead" anyway) that the person in the coffin could actually be Daniel Faraday...
not sure exactly why I think that... just a hunch really, and one that no-one else has really considered.
what about bernard no sam anderson in the guests? an omission or is he just not in the finale at all?
Malcolm David Kelley as Walt, Nestor Carbonell as Richard Alpert, John Terry as Christian Shephard, Sonya Walger as Penelope “Penny” Widmore, Alan Dale as Charles Widmore, Kevin Durand as Keamy, Francois Chau as Dr. Marvin Candle
===========
Holy crap! Dr. Candle, Christian Shepard, both Widmores, and Richard Alpert. Holy crap! That's awesome!
Oh... and I see Michael's mom is back but no one else's parents are there. So do we see them be rescued in the first part or not?
Boy, I'm confused.
@ Cid
Good points but didn't the producers say, before the start of S4, that the person in coffin was someone we already knew?
Re. Marvin Candlewickwax (lol Bongzilla!) I still don't think we will see him in the flesh - they will need to use him in an orientation video again as this would be a natural - and more importnatly relatively quick - way of explaining the purpose and working of the station to the general audience, maintaing continuity with previous seasons).
Once a spoiler said that someone other than the freighties would be saving the oceanic 6. With penny and the guy from the artic station on the episode, it's clearly them who'll do the rescue...
@josh
3) she is present during the return of the oceanic 6 to the LA and attempts to try to communicate with some of them in order to find out what really happened. she is the only non-main character who knows that something involving the survivors is not right
Love this option. She certainly knows that Michael wasn't being truthful. His mom could really be a "wild card" that blows the cover off the O6 lie. And don't forget about Walt, he also knows the truth. The only question here is what happens to Michael.
Webbbsta,I've thought about Faraday because he has knows some of the ins and outs of the science of the Island and possibly Des will visit him to pay homage.I like the idea of Faraday being in the coffin BUT Abaddon asks Hurley if they are alive(the rest of 815 or the Freighties maybe?).If Faraday came back wouldn't they have grilled him literally to death before asking Hurley?Faraday is a cool possibility ,but not that much of a shock.
I still want Ben to be in the coffin, because that closes the possibilty of Jack reacting like his world is over and Kate acting like :so what if he died. They could have Ben die in a phony way as to heighten the shock. That would be a WTF moment.Michael is too obvious,Faraday is good but he's still new,Desmond might be the most beloved character and Ben would be cataclysmic.
Good points, cid.
Michael is going back to the Island so he can die, so why would he ever leave again? And even if he did leave, he would kill himself as soon as he could, not wait 2 years.
If the person in the coffin is really Michael, I hope the writers have a good explanation for that.
So Michael could die and Jack can not?
Perhaps Jack can't kill himself because he hasn't accomplish whatever he had to accomplish in the Island, contrary to Michael.
Great guest list!!!
Best one, flyingv's WAHAHAAAALT!!!!!!!!!!!
Someone we have seen is in the coffin could be anyone who we have seen in a FF or FB.
How about Abadon, or one of the Losties family members. If it is someone from the Island, then why would this person be so different that they could die off the island? 2 years later none the less?
There is a spoiler now that says Desmond may be the guy, but Des Rules and he can't die. (wishful thinking)
Perhaps the Orchid also has something to do with it, or time travel.
@ Ryan
Thanks. I didn't know his name was Henrik. Just thought he was 'guy in the arctic station'.
its going to be michael in the coffin and walt and his grandmother will appear at the funeral. i absolutely 100% guarantee it.
Why isn't Mathias on the guest list if his mate Henrik is?
I would love to see...when we finally see the Orchid. There is Marvin Candle sitting in the hatch somewhere!! That wud be awesome, but we will probably see him in another orientation film.
Penny, Christian Shephard, Alpert, Walt, Charles Widmore, Frank, Daniel, Marvin Candle...talk about a guest list!!
Greg Grunberg & the funeral director will probably be in the finale but not guest listed.
I hope we see Jacob before the finale finishes. I was suprised he wasn't in his cabin, when Locke & co went to visit him. Maybe Christian will tell us of Jacob's absense?
We will see how Michael & Walt got back to the real world in Manhatten, explaining why Michael's mum & Walt are on the guest list.
Thanks Dark
I really, really, really, really like the notion that Penny and Henrik are keys to the Oceanic Six returning to the Real World. I almost wrote rescued, but after this season and TTLG, I don't think rescue is the correct term for leaving the island.
Maybe Michael's suicide is a sacrifice for the living survivors of 815 and that's why the Island keeps him alive and kicking for two years.
Anyway, the dude *wants* to die. He's in pain! I hope it is him in the coffin - It would be a mercy killing. It would be a nice wrap up for the character and justice for AL and Libby.
@bogzilla - I hope we get to see Penny and Henrick too. :)
Poeple, please.
Henrik IS NOT the Jack lookalike. Henrik the other man in the arctic station. Mathias is the one that people thought looked like Jack, and he's not in this one.
awesome! after 2 seasons we get back to teh portuguese guys!
quangtran is right. Henrik seems to be the senior member of the Listening Station. He commands Mathias to call Ms. Widmore.
Andy said... My guess, he'll turn to leave, and see Michael's mom, and a teenaged Walt standing there.
===========
That's a fantastic theory.
I doubt we see Michael leave right away (He's not an Oceanic six as far as know)... but having both walt and her mother there suggest that Michael is indeed in the casket.
Still, why no one would bother coming to his funeral is a bit of a mystery.
Or anyone from the island. Even Ben.
all these week we've been wanting this, i dont want it to happen. this brings us closer to the end. every breath brings us closer to death.
henrik is in the finale again. maybe when that sky turns purple for locke to move the island his computer will start beeping again. and he will make that phone call.
wait what if what we see is exactly what we've already seen, sky turns purple, henrik sees it on his computer, calls penny in the middle of the night she wakes up and thats it.
what if we are stuck in a loop, a lost loop with no constant to move forward.
my brain hurts now, and i think i have a nose bleed
wow, the guest cast list alone is enough to get anybody pumped!
"Why isn't Mathias on the guest list if his mate Henrik is?"
That's easy. With all the guests, there's just not enough payroll. To cut costs, Matthew Fox might as well play Mathias since he looks just like the guy who played him the first time. Lol.
Actually, if they really want to cut payroll, dump Matthew Fox and get that guy who played Mathias to be Jack instead. ;-)
Looks better than the Fourth of July
So many folks showin up for the fianle! WAAAAAAAAALT! Dr. Candle! Alpert! Christian! Widmore! Penny! This is going to be awesome and this season will go down as being just as good as season one.
Is Greg Grunberg going to co-star in this episode or not be credited? Remember it was said that he would appear in the finale?
And where is Greg Grunberg? Wasn't there a rumor that the pilot would be seen again?
he was in confirmed dead so maybe thats what they were talking about
yeah but this was recent news and it was said he was seen in Hawaii filming...
Well, "fabulous kisses" mean a lot of things. I don't think you can call a love kiss as "fabulous". I don't buy it. Everybody kisses differently and loves differently, with totally different feelings. What is a "fabulous kiss"? Let's see, on LOST, you can't call Sawyer and Kate kissing and call it fabulous, nor Jack and Kate. That would be a “love kiss", or “feeling sorry” like in the cages. No. a fabulous kiss is probably something like "THE KISS OF DEATH"....maybe Penelope kisses Desmond while she kills him at the same time. It's obvious that it's Desmond in the coffin...
"see you in another life, brother"...The kiss than he dies...That would make it a "fabulous kiss"...maybe it happened in the past and as soon as he returns to the hatch…says, "I love you Pen" before he turns the key and gets killed....or sacrificing oneself…for someone would and can be called a “fabulous kiss”
By the way how does Desmond get off the island if he even does. He's not in the plane?
i hope we see dr.marvin candle on the island not just in an orientation film.
