Flashback, no doubt.
Just about to say that...a flashback about the freighter. Maybe we will see Widmore and/or Abaddon's role in puttng the mission together.
Yeah, I'm sure Keamy, Gault and the rest of that crew will be back. Most likely we will see flashbacks from Daniel Charlotte Miles that take place partially on the freighter.
First spoiler of the new season and it's sweet as :)
Flashback or not, it'l be great to see more of the captain.
yeah - I read that in the paper this morning too...

You & me both mate!!
Did someone just mention Cestor Carbonell is gonna be in series 5!!! Nestor Carbanell's evil twin brother!!!
That lends weight to the clone theory!!
Grant Bowler goes on to say that he does not know what he will be filming as the writers like to keep the actors in the dark.
I think its a very good sign that both Gault and Keamy seem to be returning. Maybe more Naomi and Minkowski too!!!
Nice, I was really sad when he died, I was just starting to like him.
I saw this too, and scanned the article if anyone wants to see it.
Sorry about the quality, though.

Yes! I really really hope so :)
Not to mention that I think he's freaking awesome and the fact we've had only ever implicit information that Widmore is evil. We've never really actually directly seen him be evil.
Hopefully we can finally dive into seeing him being all maniacal. :)
WAIT, There's a Cestor Carbonell AND a Nestor CARBANELL?
Quick, someone tell Nestor Carbonell, Cestor Carbanell, Nestor Narbacell, Barbapapa, Nester Carbinall and Lester Piggot! Oh, and Lestor Pigget.
I'm done.
see the thing I told Dark about that is in the rumors section is even more likley true now because Gault is back 2
"The Ageless Egyptian" Richard Alpert and Charles Widmore getting flashback episodes in season 5 would be epic.
im sorry but, who really cares about the frieghter? booooring, there are more interesting things to be covered on the show in the second last season, the thing blew up that should be curtains for a stupid story line they spent an entire season on, yet didnt give much more information about really anything important, other than that widmore has connetions to the island, wow didnt see that one coming. i cant even remember who gault is or how he died, but i know for sure i watched it, keamy was also a stupid character, im glad they all died, we already got a flashback about the friegters we dont need another one. how about giving sawyer something before stupid secondary characters that act so over the top its just rediculously cheesy
Yes, you heard it hear, Dr. Drake Ramore will be on LOST next year... who cares about the Capt. He & the freighter sucked!!

I do, surely the fact that it managed to find the island and is owned by Widmore means we NEED to find out more about it. Everyone assumes that Widmore is the bad guy in all this, but soooo much information on him has been left out, there has to be a reason for this. I still don't think that there's going to be a definative 'black' or a 'white' side in this story, or if there is it's going to the opposite of what we think.
"surely the fact that it managed to find the island and is owned by Widmore means we NEED to find out more about it."
yah he found the island, but didnt have much luck did he.
surely the fact that a plane flying from australia to los angelis which found its way to an island, the plane contaning people who are interconnected in ways they will never fully understand, means WE NEED TO KNOW MORE ABOUT IT. there are things that need to be covered that were introduced to the show a long long time ago, and all you people can think about is season 4, shame on you.
and i dont think widmore is bad, i never thought he was a "bad guy" just an asshole, who happens to be kinda boring, i wish his story ended with desmond. im sick of "other" figures, we need something new. or to focus on just the losties and the island again, thats all i care about after all this secondary character bullshit, there getting way to much screen time, every season some new douchebags pop up.

Umm...what? Shame on us? That's a bit strong. I loosely agree with the point you're making that the events of S4 should not become the focus of the show and override all the other mysteries, but come on now. This stuff's bound to be important. It's as much a part of the show as anything else.
I'm glad we'll be seeing more of Gault. Presumably this is gonna be in one of the Freighter Trio's flashbacks.
Ezekiel Bowler? What a name.
Dharmabeer seems to be acting like this show is still about a plane crash.
Now that we have our first spoiler for Season 5, shouldn't that put the "Lockedown" on the Fantasy League and the Prediction Game ?
Captain Gault is one of the choices on the Fantasy League. Ostensibly, this news gives new people who haven't submitted their entry yet an (admittedly very slight) edge over people who did.
Oops, turns out that Captain Gault is NOT one of the choices for the Fantasy League... I thought he was.
Never mind... (for now) !
GO WOLF!
GO OUTRAGEOUS FORTUNE!
GO LOST!
Gotta love NZ...
here a news about Nestor Carbonell begin regular...

lost was never about a plane crash! it just pisses me off when new "mysterys" replace old ones at least maybe if they answered some, and then threw something new out there, i wouldnt bitch, but season 4 sucked, it really sucked and i could care less about captin whats his face.
If season 4 sucked...I'm Elvis.
everyone knows you're not elvis. elvis was from Mississippi, and you're not. so the only logical conclusion is season four did NOT suck!
like my power of deduction?
my god - t.l.a, why didnt you say so earlier!!!!
Yeah - season 4 in no way sucked BUT it was very different from what went before so I can understand why it would disappoint some people. I also agree with Dharmabeer that if the writers see the seasons as 'books' then they arent giving very many resolutions at the end of each book.
...huh.
Season 4 was a downer. It was cut short because of the strike. It had flashforwards which made the finally a bit anticlimatic. The show went further into the unbelievable range and has gone places that are going to be to tough to recover from. Smoke monster and moving the island in time? This is more like a never ending Twilight zone. Only twilight zone seemed more realistic.
@smoke monster is gay
The monster has been around since the first episode so it's not like it was some ridiculous season 4 invention, we just got to see the monster in its full glory for the first time. Plus, this show has always had "Twilight Zone" elements, remember "Expose"? Moving the island is part of the mystery as to why the island is so hard to locate.
Anyone know why they haven't updated the whispers section? This site, the fuselage, and lostpedia. Sorry if this isn't the proper forum but Dark hasn't responded to my emails. You commentors are pretty knowledgeable so I thought i'd give it a shot.
i wonder if Michael will be included in any flashbacks
"The show went further into the unbelievable range and has gone places that are going to be to tough to recover from."
exactly, the show has always been a bit whimsical, but pretty much everything could still be explained by science, quantum mechanics is one of the coolest areas of science ever explored, and lost has opened me up to it, but they keep trying to push an envelope that has been pushed and pushed to its limits already, and now im just wondering how far there going to try and take it, it has become pretty unbelievable.
im just one of the lost fanatics that fell in love with the show during season 1 and 2 and when it changed into a different show, i was pretty dissapointed with the direction it took, more action, less character focus, less philosophy, more secondary characters, and they chose to have more science fiction over fiction grounded in actual science, and thats everything i loved about the show that now has all changed in some way, season 4 of lost is still way better than anything else on TV, but in to me it really sucked in comparison to other seasons.

==========
Yeah, it was so topsy-turvy. Season 3 has (minus expose) 17 straight amazing episodes to end the season. Not one (minus expose) was even below 'awesome'.
Season 4, it was very hit and miss.
We had Shape of Things to Come and Constant, both my new favorite episodes of all time, but we also had 'The Other Woman', Eggtown, Ji Yeon, and Shape of Things back Home... all of which about tie for worst episodes of all time.
IMO, Season 4 was the best year of Lost ever, with the possible exception of Season 1. Some questions were answered, some were pursued in greater depth, and new questions arose to continue the essential Lost mystery. "The Constant" and "There's No Place Like Home Parts 2-3" were, by widespread acclaim, among the top episodes in the entire series.
We also had the greatest introduction of new and exciting characters since Season 1, particularly the Freighter Four -- Miles, Daniel, Frank and Charlotte -- great actors and great characters in the Lost mythology. In addition, we met Capt. Gault, the great evil Keamey, the underutilized Regina, the ship doctor and Matthew Abaddon, the creepiest new character ever. And we had the long-awaited return home of some of the Losties -- what more could you ask for?
Yes, the series moved in new directions and that will upset some fans. It certainly moved more openly in the direction of time travel and other sci-fi elements, but many would argue that its essential mystery has been sci-fi at its core from the very beginning, when it arrived complete with polar bears, a killer smoke monster, the appearance of Jack's dead dad and a paraplegic who could suddenly walk again!
