I have some nice exclusive spoilers for you all today from one of my new sources called Kronos and deals with the recent Desmond, Penny and Ben filming.
1) For this episode there are no main flashbacks or flashforwards, and it is very linear like a normal television episode.
2) Desmond and Penny have been flying under the radar for awhile and they're having a kid.
3) They move around every few months and in this episode they are in a city named Mati.
4) We find out that there are a handful of Dharma stations located throughout the world. They are not just on the island.

Whoa AWESOME STUFF!!!! Especially number 6 :D Great stuff
Nice one mate!!
I hope we get to see a Dharma Station in Tunisia!!
I hope Ben isn't central to every storyline in the next two seasons.
Awesome spoiler! Totally agree with Bigs, #6 is sweet info!
they're having a kid
Oh my god...not sure how I feel about this.
Oh my god...not sure how I feel about this.
Psychologically speaking, I suspect it's to their advantage. Ben should have difficulties killing a new Mum.
Dark, when you're saying recent, do you mean the filming from the last few weeks or now?
Big, I'm unsure about exactly when all these took place as filming for an episode normally lasts around 2 weeks I believe. This is a summary of all the filming so the scenes themselves could be stretched over many days.
This could explain how people (the others) could travel to and from the island.
Teleportation using the Dharma stations all over the world, that would also explain why they found a polar bear in Tunisia, why the polar bears were found on the island and why Penny's people got a signal on the south pole (thats where they were right ? )
see. Thanks!
I'm asking mostly since Ryan said in the Transmission that Desmond is apparently involved in the filming with Theresa and Abigail (y'know, presumably time-displaced Brit woman and her nurse) and a fourth character who was named after an ex Yankees player (which could mean the name is fake, I guess? If I got Ryan correctly, he didn't recognize the actor's name, though), and if these new spoilers are for Episode 3 and it is linear, these scenes have to happen in the "present." Which I find quite interesting.
This Dharma Initiative is some kind of an order like Mason and has some offices/stations troughout the world? This is a spreaded work, they have a huge community.
What happened to the fb's and ff's? Linear episode? I HOPE there will be something twisty so that we won't be needing any fb or ff's.
Nice spoiler,Ben is looking for Des and Penny is having a baby, but why is Ben torturing someone from the Widmore Group and who? i don´t believe Ben will try to harm Penny at this time.
WOW!
Dharma stations around the world. I can't believe I never considered that before. Awesome.
Thank you Kronos ;)
Hope Ben will be able to kill Penny, it would bring so much to the storyline!
I wonder what kind of stations they will be.
Wow, congrats, Des and Pen- another new baby to add to the show...
Could #1 mean that if anyone time-traveled to the past that scene is shown to the audience first? Then, when the past island scene is done they move on to the next group of people chronologically?
I hope that made sense... I'm tired ;)
Go BEN!!This is going to be AWESOME!!!!
-spoiler alert-
Dharma station in OXFORD UNIVERSITY!!!!!
Dharma station UNDER THE STATUE OF LIBERTY!!!!
Dharma station in MR CLUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!
-end of spoilers-

I think it means there will be no flashbacks or flashforwards. The scenes in the single storylines will be linear; Ben will not flashforward to torturing the Widmore employee, Des will not flashback to Penny having the baby. Of course that doesn't mean that all storylines will take place in the same time period. If Locke and Richard, who also seem to be in 5.03 (provided of course this is 5.03 we're talking about), they might be years earlier than the others, yet no one will have a flashback to them, and they won't have a flashforward to the others.
Wow, these are great spoilers!!!
Thanks Andy and Kronos!!
The City of Mati is a city in the province of Davao Oriental, Philippines.
That sucks - I love the centric episodes.
surely they'll still find some way to incorporate the "whoosh" sound, even if not used exactly as the way before. that's the ultimate trademark of the show.
and desmond better make it to the end of the series.
new benjamin linus kid is here, i'm maybe joking but he did on the past with alex, so maybe he can do that again. congrat for des and penny but i can't see it as good way
Darkstream:
It seems to be only for this episode. We already heard that the episode will be centric to a wider range of characters. So one episode might have 3 different characters with flashbacks and flashforwards.
@mikeou3
I attended the all the lost events at comic con 2008 and one of the panels (showrunners I think) Damon had joked around saying "don't worry the guy the does the whooosh sound isnt going to have to find another job."
No flashbacks or flashforwards?
how are they going to tell the missing piecies of what happened off the Island then?
and what about the Island story?
and the story with Rosseo etc...(sorry know idea how to spell her name) haha.
leaves me a bit puzzled.
This is just for the Penny/Ben/Desmond episode as I wrote. It's not for the entire series. There will be flashbacks and flashforwards in other episodes.
Reading a bit more into #5, I guess that confirms what a lot of people already guessed: the "new group" for season 5 is what I guess we can call "the Widmores"
Season 1: The Losties
Season 2: The Tailies
Season 3: The Others
Season 4: The Freighters
Season 5: The Widmores
I think the "no flashbacks and no flashforwards" is being interpreted incorrectly... they mean there's no more centric episodes, where a character "flashes" to his past or present. Given that the action on the Island is likely to be set 2 years before a lot of the stuff off Island, they will still have to "whoosh" around in time occasionally. The stuff on the Island has to be set in a different time than the off Island stuff... or TOQ wouldn't have a job, being dead and all in present time.
Oh, just saw DarkUFO's comment. So, I wonder, does that mean that episodes will sometimes just focus on certain characters, and not others ? Like this one features Desmond, Penny, Ben and at least one Widmore person, but if there's no flashback, it must not include anyone on the Island ? This isn't unprecedented of course... "The Other 48 Days" focused on just one group of people too, as did "Meet Kevin Johnson".
Oops, just remembered that MKJ did in fact have scenes on the Island.
Season 5: DHARMA
Dharma stations around the world!! ooh how am I supposed to wait 4 months....ahhhh I wish they did the 4 episodes in the fall again.
oh - thanks for clearing that up Dark - they had me worried for a minute there. For one episode its cool.
guys, we KNEW there were other dharma stations..... when Patchy swam down to the looking glass and saw the two women he said "I thought you 2 were stationed in Canada." boom.
I think the base story will start off, In present time, off island. Geo. Garcia said at the Emmys, him and Sayid pick up right after Santa Rosa. Last year that was 3 years In the future, now It's present day. I think on island will start off were they left off, after the 06 left. As fore centric EP, Instead of having 1 character with 3 scenes an EP, you will have 3 characters with 1 scene per EP for 3 weeks. Same amount of time, same amount of screen time, It could be confusing if we don't pay attention. As for the FF and FB, they will just show use a scene, and we will have to figure out " WHEN and WERE " it Is, and In some cases It won't be to hard to figure out. I think Penny and Des will be present time, It's probably the scenes that were shot with the sail boat, and Des looking for a doctor. Emerson said he hasn't had much screen time in the first 3 or 4 EP, my guess he's after Pen and Des on his own. If the 06 are prominent in the first 3 or 4 EP, that's why he will be missing.

Not true. There is no reference to other stations off the island. The actual quote (from the episode transcript on Lostpedia) is:
MIKHAIL: I thought you two were on assignment in Canada?
Boom. "Assignment" could refer to doing anything -- such as kidnapping Cooper in Florida. Doesn't say anything about a station or hatch.
Thanks to Dark for backing us up, the people who commented before, about the flash's. It has been clearly stated by cast and crew that Lost will continue to have flash's, but the episode will not be typically centric as in season's past.
