Great interview... Jorge always mentions how awesome Fox is and now Fox says his fav cast member is Jorge... And Jorge is a sweetheart, thats sooo true...:)))
I loved everything he said about S5... makes me feel even more excited about the new season -if thats possible-

So, let's recap.
1) Elizabeth always says how talented and adorable he is. Not to mention the look-at-jack-in-chains comments on the dvd.
2) Horge has a man crush on Foxy!

4) Ian said he really enjoyed matt fox's work last season. 'He gave some truly great performances.'
Yes, he really must be this terrible person nobody wants to work with.
It must really difficult to get on with such a handsome, sexy, friendly and talented castmate.

Aww great interview! I can't wait to see Jack's redemptive storyline (especially since Matthew Fox himself seems very excited about it).
Is it just me though or was he reading his answers from somewhere below the screen? I guess they've got to watch what they say...?

Some good insights. Fox seems to have a good grasp on where the writers are taking the character. As an actor, I would think it would be nice to portray a character that is continually evolving, having ups and downs, and revealing new aspects of himself rather than a static character on an episodic TV show.
When Matthew says Jorge is a sweetheart I can't help to think about the blooper scene where the two of them are rolling like potato bags on the life raft :D
I think this change is his character is very much welcome. As Matthew said himself in another interview at Comic-Con...

I just hope his faith is not too blind, specially around Ben :S

@ Elizabetta - He must be paying off ALL those castmates. Man, it would get expensive since everyone seems to love him! Ridiculous how those old lies re:him being disliked got started *cough, Kristin Veitch, cough.*
@ Sunil - He would be an ass if he didn't doubt Ben's words somewhat still...actually he would be John Locke. (Same Difference!)
@ Selina - I think he is a bit shy. At least he always comes off that way in interviews. But he is guarding his words closely so you never know!
That was such a great interview!
In a way I am glad you didn't post it before so we get a nice uplift at this really low place between episodes.
Normally I don't really like to have insights into actors thoughts because too often it wrecks my positive image of them and interfers with my acceptance of the role they play.
Funny thing about this show is that the actors always give me more interest and insight into their roles. Great group of people there.

Matthew said before that he knew the Lost storyline, than if it was his opinion, he KNOWS about what he is saying!
I love how he loves his character and how he loves Lost! And I love him very much because that!

I'm glad Jack is going to have his redemption. I just hope we get to see him a little bit more into the 'beard state'. Fox delivered a great depressive and suicidal Jack.

Great interview. MF is awesome. he knows so much more than he is letting on though. he keeps looking at the floor when he talks lol. He is either shy, or a bad liar and finds it hard to say "no, i don't know what the flashes thing is"... he knows!
