Ben must have done some real manipulating here to make sun go from blaming Jack to forgiving him.
SUN (to Jack): You did what you had to do. We probably all would have died instead of just my husband.
So this scene must be AFTER the scene where Sun tells Mr.Paik that she considers him to be one of the two people responsible for Jin's death.
I don't think that Sun has fully forgiven Jack. She sounded bitter in the end. " We'd probably all have dies instead of JUST my husband".
Sun might also be putting on an act to make Jack think that she's forgiven/semi-forgiven him.
Don't know what the reason would be...probably a Widmore thing.
January,21st I Just cant´wait!!
Sun blames Jack for what happened to Jin and yes Ben will use that to manipulate Jack,he did the same thing with Sayid so...
OMG...it's clearly that Sun's working with Widmore now!
In the final scene in TNPLH Jack says "Sun blames me for...", but it was never confirmed he was the second person she blamed for Jin's death. Could be Widmore or Ben.
I love Sun!! Before last season I was never that bothered about her character but her character after leaving the island is brilliant. I hope she still blames jack and is working with widmore...it'd be great to see everyone else's reaction when it came out
If Sun learns that Jin is alive, I don't think she would continue to blame Jackl. For whatever reason Sun agreed to cooperate with Widmore, I think she will regret doing it sooner or later. If Sun gave information to Widmore about Ben, O6 and the actual events on the Island, Desmond and Penny, she herself will have many things to feel guilty, especially if something happens to Penny.
Sun is playing Jack.
Something tells me she's going to throw a spanner in the works of the return effort. Now I'm kinda glad that I've always been indifferent towards her ;)
Throw a spanner. Hehe. I love Brits. :)
Something tells me she's going to throw a spanner in the works of the return effort.
I agree, but we also know that she'll get to know that Jin is alive fairly quickly - i.e. by Episode 4/5 - so whatever she might do to sabotage them, she'll definitely come to regret it.
I ain't British.
But I'm sure they appreciate the love ;)
Sorry. I was just working a job this summer- there were about 30 of us, and about half and half Brits and Americans, and we had a great discussion about whether they're wrenches or spanners.
Where else do they call them spanners? My mistake. :)

Hopefully.
Her 'you killed my husband' act has worn thin for me. It was a combination of Widmore's scheme and his own stupidity that got him 'killed'. I think a double-cross is in order. She pretends to side with Widmore against the 06 but ends up turning on him instead.

Well, so far we mostly have Jack's assumption that she blames him. I can see both Widmore and Ben be equally likely candidates, with Widmore being a tad ahead, since he actually financed the freighter mission and the mercenaries. And the promos tend to be deceiving, although in this case, the deception might be that she has forgiven him.
For me, having someone who bears a grudge among the O6 makes sense, and so far, Sun is the most likely candidate. Of course I also like her, and want her to have screentime, so I'm down with a storyline like this, at least to a certain extend. I just think that siding with Widmore will come back to bite her, so I'd rather see her fend for herself.
Does anybody else think thay the scene with Sawyer kissing Kate is a new scene and therefore they do make it back?
No, wait, not the S4 finale, it's from the early episodes of Season 3, when they're hauling stones for the Others.
No there is a new kising scene. It looks like a dream sequence or something because it's kind of blurry.
I'm pretty sure that's from Season 3, but I'm hardly an expert. Someone else more knowledgeable on this subject?
no, it's this kiss from 3x02
And the next thing that happens is Pickett hitting Sawyer's head with a rifle, right? I'm almost scared that I recognized that.
And the next thing that happens is Pickett hitting Sawyer's head with a rifle, right?
well, not exactly..
then, Pickett comes near them and Sawyer punches him, and they start a fight, and then Juliet points her gun at Kate which makes Sawyer stop the fight
Ah, good, I really would have felt odd to have remembered all that right, given that I saw the episode once.
Whoops you're right, sorry about that!
i'm with you TLA. i think Sun if faking to double cross Widmore
Steff- No, Pickett hit Sawyer with the gun. TGB will be coming on SciFi in the next couple of weeks(can't remember if it's next week or the week after). If you get the channel, watch it and you'll see it. :)
Awesome promos, put me in the "Sun's playing Jack" camp. No way she's going to forgive him that easily(and rightly so).
I dont trust Sun... i think she is still working for Widmore and blaming Jack for what happened.
I hope she wouldn't betray the rest of the 06 when the time comes to go back to the island.
What happened to the old announcer?
And why is it a different take of Ben saying "it happened because you left, Jack"?
F*ck. I wanted Sun to kick Jacks whimpery ass.
Hopefully you are all right about Sun playing a trick on Jack. That would be awesome!
Maybe this was on other promos, and I just missed it, but I notice with this one, on the closing "LOST" title, that the city buildings are no longer in the water, but are now part of the letters of "LOST", hovering over the Island.
And that Sun/Jack scene... yeah, she's totally being sarcastic about the "JUST" my husband thing.
Just her husband? *Sigh* The socks never get any respect.
Or Michael, for that matter.
Why does everyone assume Sun is talking to Jack?? Is it bc he is shown in the clip b4 they show Sun?? I'm not sure that she's even talking to Jack. Could be Ben, Sayid, Kate, Widmore, Hurley, Sawyer......
IF, that Sun is playing for Jack, Jack would be the character that has most been manipulated by everybody in all seasons. Don't know why -probably that he is dramatically over- but he eats everything when somebody cries in front of him, or just says something sweet - remember while Jack was in the jungle to find Kate about Sawyer's wound in season 2, and he found her while he was going to get angry on her, she kissed him and... everything was over. :D
But I don't think that Sun would be playing Jack, because if she's the person that I've known for 4 seasons (like I'm her best friend :P), she would be helping O-6 to go back to the island. Maybe that's why we have Ajira Airplane stuff.
Is it just me that thinks Sun's been working undercover for the O6/Locke/Ben by pretending to work for Widmore? I dunno about the rest of you, but seeing as Bentham would've met with her to try and convince her to return to the Island, I gotta imagine he said something about Jin to her, and she's playing Widmore to try and find the Island again.
Add that to the scene w/ her locked in some sort of room in London (a Bobby can be seen standing guard outside) and her saying "Open this door!", and I think we're seeing that Widmore caught on. I think maybe Sun was playing the embittered card towards the O6 to distance herself from the group so that only she is having to lie and therefore it's easy for her to be undercover. If the O6 really think she's pissed @ them, they leave her alone and it's easier for her to convince Widmore she wants to work w/ him.
If I'm right, I wouldn't be surprised if Jack finds her forgiving him for leaving Jin and he's shocked that she's saying that. However, finding out that Jin is alive and they're going back to get him would take a lot of the sting outta him dying, lol.
Then again, I also think Ben and Penny are working together, since the only person Ben told he was gonna try and kill her was dear ol' dad, and there's no way he could get Sayid to do the hit b/c Sayid knows she's Des's love (too similar to Nadia) and also the O6 owe their rescue to her, otherwise they might've starved at sea.
Besides, wouldn't that explain some of the info about Widmore that Ben's been privy to, not to mention make for a good plot twist? I can totally see Ben saying he's gonna kill her just to throw her dad off the scent of them working together. At once a totally unsuspected and dastardly move worthy of his cunning, and we know Penny's got the motivation to do it b/c Widmore hates Des and tried to kill everyone on the Island...
I wish I was writing for this show soooo badly!

I'm not sure they would have been working together from the beginning, but I could imagine a scenario where Ben convinces Penny to disappear - leading her father to think that she's dead - and in return he promises something like getting Desmond to the island in one piece.
But who knows. I have no real idea where they're going with that storyline.
Oh, I didn't mean to imply they've ALWAYS been working together, but we do know that Mr. Linus jumped approx. 10 months into the future when he moved the Island, and it doesn't appear that he went to London to confront Widmore directly b/c he first went from Tunisia to Iraq to enlist Sayid. So at very least he could've gotten Penny on his side in the time between him skipping to the future and visiting Widmore in the hotel to threaten her life in (feigned) revenge for Alex.
If nothing else, and Ben really is vengeful, he knows she's worth more to him alive and could be pried for intel on Widmore. His scheming nature would prevail so that he could gain the upper hand in the game of human chess they seem to be playing...
However, I'm still inclined to picture a Ben/Pen alliance. It's simply too delicious to pass up, imo :)

Not to mention that it gives the writers an opportunity to keep Ben ambiguous as opposed to an all out bad guy.
I love how ABC keep using the glass ballerina skate kiss. Its strange since they rest is season 4 and 5 stuff, but they put in this season 3 kiss. Not that i'm complaining. Maybe there is a reason for it, like sawyer flashes back to it or something.
I agree with most of you. Her 'instead of just my husband' was sarcastic and bitter. But in such an obvious way that Jack will recognize it too.
I think she still blames him in an irrational but also very understandable way. But she is not an idiot. She knows it wasn’t Jack who killed him. It was Widmore. Why should she work for him?
Doesn’t really work for me. But I can easily see her doing something dangerous single-handedly to get some revenge for Jins death. Something she has to lie about to Jack and the rest of the O6.
Hey everyone
This weeks special access just hit. It contains a bit about the season 4 dvd, and interview with Rebecca Mader (Charlotte), and a 2-minute sneak peak from the premier (Kate/Aaron scene). Good stuff!

Come on, Sun! Please tell me you're pretending to forgive the guy
I don´t watch it, but Sun was super character, mainly in season 1 and 2, and then she changed, but now, hmmm, she isn´t my most favourite character, but I still like her, I love all Losties, and Lost haters can go somewhere, i*****:))
and Jin is alive on 100%, bye:))
I don't think Sun is talking to Jack, that is the clip of Jack when he's talking to Ben, unless Sun is there too, then I doubt it, I think she is talking to Kate. She may 'blame' Kate, as it was Kate who said she would go and get Jin also there seems to be a shadow in the bottom corner when sun is speaking and it looks like curly hair. I could just be seeing things but I do think that it isn't Jack she is talking too, they are two separate scenes.
I really hope theirs a lot more to the Sun/Jack friction than one phony expression of forgiveness. I was a big fan of their interaction in season one (like her headache scene and when they tried to save Boone), so this latest development seemed ripe for some rich character development and interaction. Idk, maybe the characters can drew parallel to Jack’s equally irrational blame of Locke over Boone’s death? ANYTHING less predictable than the Sun/Widmore story that most people already guessed.
I doubt she's playing Jack. I mean, in order for the O6 to return to the island, they're likely going to have to get along. Maybe this is at the point where they start working together (not just Jack and Sun).
WEDNESDAY, JANUARY TWENTY FIRTHT!!!!
did anyone else lol at that?
Makes much more sense that she'd actually be logical. Now that Sun has a baby she has to realize that Jack not stalling take-off saved all of them. It was stupid to think Sun was blaming Jack specifically. I mean Des knew where Jin was but he plopped his happy self on the Helicopter. Sayid, Hurley, Lapidus--did they help? Nope they weren't all that concerned with saving anyone else. NO that's Jack's job alone??! Jack set the bomb?? Jack shot holes in the helicopter?? Jack was taking off when everyone wasn't aboard?? Stupid for Sun to hold on blame for Jack just to make Jack-haters happy.
@quangtran: And Locke was at fault for Boone's death. He had a vision that Boone would be injured but didn't really care. Getting into the hatch took precedence over the loss of Boone--or anyone else for that matter for him. He then indicated a fall was at fault for Boone's injuries rather than the compression injury that Boone actually had. This caused Jack to mistreat the compartment syndrome that he'd have been well aware of had Locke told the truth. He still might not have saved Boone but he'd have come a lot closer to it had Locke been honest.
why I still think, that they always will be against Jack and Kate, it´s so sad.:((((((
Poche wrote: "She may 'blame' Kate, as it was Kate who said she would go and get Jin"
But it was Jack who stopped Kate and dragged her back to the chopper before she could go back for Jin, so it wouldn't make any sense for her to blame Kate. Unless Sun's being irrational or something.
Oh, well, it'll be cleared up soon enough. ;)
I'm with you TLA. i think Sun is faking to double cross Widmore
I agree and the key for me is the way, when she met Widmore by the London Bridge, after giving her business card and being cordial, she turned around and had a cold, determined look on her face.
I love Jin but they're really going to have to pull something special out of their hat to explain how he didn't end up in a million pieces after that explosion, not to mention it was a fireball that engulfed the whole ship.
Ben just loves getting zingers in on Jack: "It happened because you left, Jack".
