Thanks to Annebeth for the heads up and for providing us with a summary.
Michael Emerson (aka Benjamin Linus) from Lost joins us once again. We're well into season five and there is so much to discuss! Time travel, time shifting, machines, pendulums, who's related to who and what's so important about "children"? Always full of great hints and just like Lost, a few things are answered and a few new questions arise.
Some very broad general comments about how the season is going to progress (like: the story will settle, goosebump-moments coming up, et cetera.) Some light hints that could be a little spoilerish I guess. But mostly it is Michael Emerson's theories, so not necessary spoilers.
And this interview is from February 11th, and there are some hints about events that happened in this place is death and 316, so that are not spoilers I guess.
Michael Emerson is so great!!. They asked if Hawking was Faraday's mother, and he was like: "Hmmm, Faraday's Mother. Well, I don't know about that, but I think she is related by blood to someone who is a regular. Faraday seems... that seems... there's something to be said for that as a theory, isn't there? (...) I wonder what her relationship to Charles Widmore is. 'Cause that could be very troubling. (...) She may be our worst nightmare, as it goes along. We don't know.
Funny fact: Deleted line of Ben: "Hugo, that's just a waste of a hot pocket" ^.^
Very Interesting:"John Locke is a special case. I'm not sure John Locke lives by the same rules that everyone else does. And I think maybe one of the rules he doesn't live by is: when a thing happens to then it is happened and it can't be undone. I mean, we've been talking about what his gift is. What is his gift? He's anointed, he's been chosen, right? The island likes him, Jacob likes him. Whatever that means. So what is it, what has he got? Ben used to have it, but he doesn't anymore. A bunch of people used to have it. But they don't anymore. But someone does. (Interviewer, Alpert seems to have it). Yeah.... Other people you've met on the show have had it. (Interviewer, Desmond's pretty special). Yeah...
It sounds a bit like Desmond, but then again, maybe not...
"If I had to say a one word theme on all the work we have done so far on season 5, it would say 'children'.
