Points for whoever figures out who this 'corporation' is
hanso corporation
How many points are we talking here? I want to make sure it's worth my time.
500
Hanso is a definite candidate - could be Paik or Widmore - but I also think they are trying to throw us off as this corp is not the common definition
I'm so happy about Cassar directing this episode!
Don't they normally mask casting call storylines using the corporate espionage type lingo? It's possible that it has nothing to do with a corporation or espionage...I think it's Vincent's former owner! Or Annie...
I agree When Sawyer. For all we know this person could be an Other and the 'espionage' could be that she was helping out the Losties in some way and got caught. This doesn't necessarily mean this is an off-Island character.
Anyone remember when a casting call mentioned a corporate raider, and it turned out to be a bit different than what you would expect from that description? I'm drawing a blank here.
Nevermind the casting call..John Cassar of 24 is directing an episode of LOST? As a fan of both shows I'm not sure if I'm excited or scared.....will it be shot in real time?
"Anyone remember when a casting call mentioned a corporate raider, and it turned out to be a bit different than what you would expect from that description? I'm drawing a blank here."
I think Abbadon was described that way in the casting call.
jacobs enemy was also called "a corporate raider"
without reading any of the other comments first:
I am starting to think that this so called Corporation is "The Others/Hostiles" because of other casting calls Like the "Lennon" casting call, for instance (I know there is no actual confirmation that Lennon is an "Other", but that is just my guess, also Last season there was a call for a late 30s early 40, Caucasian male looking to take over the company, corporate Raider type, that one refered to long haired 70's Widmore . ), So if we use that logic on this casting call, then this may refer to someone who is possibly on the surface loyal to Jacob but in actuality is really loyal to MIB, hence the corporate espionage bit, what do you guys think?
Not John Cassar! I really don't rate his episodes of 24 at all (having watched the first 5 series religiously). He can handle action scenes perfectly well, but is often totally incapable of directing actors with emotional subtlety. Why not Stephen Hopkins or Ian Toynton? Bah...
Maybe I'm too harsh. It'll certainly be interesting to watch.
That's cool that Jon Cassar is directing!!! :) I'm a 24 fan as well.
Plus, I'm finding it kind of funny that this character Kendall sounds just like the character Kendall on "All My Children", a soap opera that airs on ABC that I also happen to watch. LOL ;)
well, if he is an other, maybe the episode will be Alpert centric...?
'a corporate raider'
Thats the one I was thinking of - maybe this season they are literal
"Corporate" and "corporation" are clue words that have been used in past casting calls for parts involving MIB and Widmore-allied people.
I think it would be a mistake to take this literally, though corporations in Lost are used in dirty-dealings (Widmore, Paik, The Economist). I think it's better to assume that this lady will be tied into something relating to the Island's past, and maybe she was involved with the goings-on between Jacob and MIB.
When I read the surname (Cassar), I just had to look him (especially since his first name was familiar) and I was right.
That son of a gun's Maltese :D Whoot!
It's always corporate or company.
Poor Kendall. She's the first guest star who's neither tough nor intelligent:-)
Amazing how "intellectual beauty" , "Sharp...wit" and "corporate espionage" sound really boring right now...
How about getting Stephen King to write an ep? PLEASE?? Time is running out guys.
We don't know the name for the episode yet, right? Or did I just miss it?
However, it's the 8th(!) episode, it deals with someone who has to LIE her way out of something - I would guess it's a Sawyer-centric and has rather something to do with conning somebody instead of having something to do with Widmore.
