How enlightening pic people. Pics from the sneak peeks.
Not totally sure where to ask this, as im new to the site, but when are we getting this weeks synopsis from post produxion??
Is there not one?
Harris.....
We are waiting with fingers crossed for the details of this week's episodes. I just keep checking the site every few hours hoping to see it posted.
The episode is tomorrow, can you guys not wait? :-P
I wonder if Minkowski has the "Walt problem" - appearing in places he shouldn't.
Yeah seriously, the episode is literally hours away, go read a book or something.
I have these restraints. The ones on his feet are exactly like mine. The ones on his wrists (which are way too loose here) are slightly different than mine, which have individual straps with locks.
I got them from a looney bin, and they have never been used for S & M.
OK, maybe a little S.
To people like harris and gavin jones - how can you seriously be that desperate to have an episode spoiled for you? I can sort of understand people not being able to resist the temptation of a full episode spoiler being in front of them, but you guys are actually wishing for it, a day before the episode is on?
What the hell is that about? That's just insanity in my opinion. Wait a day and then experience an episode of Lost how it truly is supposed to be experienced - with the twists and revelations revealed ON SCREEN. Not in some random's crappy typed recollection.
No offense adam but who gives you the right to tell people what to do?
I can live without spoilers but I think what you wrote is disgusting and I guess it would be a good idea for you to go live in a dictatorship where you could tell people what to do.
My final words to you are: Shut up and stop telling people what's right for them because you have absolutely no clue.
Guys, leave them alone. If they want to spoil the show for themselves, whatever. As long as they don't ruin it for others, leave them do what they want.
That's Minkowski, right?
yep, that's Minkowski.
I suppose, this is the spoiler section, kinda makes sense that you would be talking to people who want to be spoiled. (hides in the homepage)
But thats just it. I'm not saying it is them specifically, but there have been so many times this season where i click on the comments section to a post completely irrelevant to the episode synopsis, only to find myself getting spoiled by someone's idoidic post. Whether they say it explicitly or by simply implying what happens, it has happened many times this season. Hopefully this will stop with all thw warnings that dark has now put on his site. im all in favor of reading some minor spoilers, or even other wanting to read the big ones, but i just hate when they feel the need to ruin it for everyone else who like to enjoy only the minor ones.
Sorry for going on a rant.. .no more hate. and lets just all sit back, relax, and enjoy the show we all love
I bet that they are making desmond go and forget everything because like people said, desmonds flashes are a liability to the story and if they want to get rid of them either kill desmond or have him forget everything that happened
Also surely they would let desmond go home if he didnt remember anything about the island and no cover story would have to be made as he wouldnt have any idea!
I agree. I think Desmond forgetting everything about the island would be a great twist. I wonder if they would do that with other characters too.
In a lot of classic fantasy stories where the hero returns to the "real world" from the parallel world they eventually forget about the parallel and at some point they begin to wonder if they were there in the first place. Hence Kate's line to Jack in the last episode: You've said that story so many times that in the end you will end up believing it yourself.
Since I have been under attack for what appears to be most of the morning, a retort is seemingly necessary.
Some of the above posts have obviously showed that Harris and I are flawed individuals.
I greatly appreciate your judgments. Who were we to think we should have a preference in anything?
Would you please be so kind to let me know what other free choices I should make? For instance:
1. What automobiles should I desire to own?
2. Is there any other television programs I should watch, or in your keen opinion not watch?
3. And before I forget, could you please inform me as to what my favorite color is? I may have been misinforming individuals on that topic for many years.
I think that would be of great assistance.
I can't apologize enough. I was genuinely not aware of my obvious faux pas.
Please get back with me fellas after you have made time to confer with your Uncle Castro on these issues.
I'm with adam. You act like a baby. He just gave his opinion in this matter and you start to cry instantly. Seriously people...
sorry to start a debate, its just im in england and at uni so i dont have access to it on TV, and with stage 6 shutting down tomorrow, i was just wanting to know what goes on just in case i cant get access to it for a while!
haha gav u gotta chill out dude... dont take what people are saying on here to seriously. i was just voicing an opinion of those who incist on posting unrelated major spoilers where they do not belong. never in my post did i ever attack you. this is a childish arguement. lets just all enjoy what a great season of lost this had been.
hmmm dude in the bed reminds me of the guy in hurley's hospital......could this be the "sickness" Rousseau was talking about? Or is he drugged.
I don't think Desmond is "forgetting" anything, I think present Desmond if flashing back to the past, and past Desmond is flashing back to the present.
Although, if he's "going crazy," this could give credence to the "Was Leonard in the Hatch?" theory.
Isn't this one written by the producers? So by that I'm going to go with it probably won't be leaked (synopsis)But than again I could be wrong. Just one more day.

I don't think he is forgetting everything. What I think happened is that this is the other end of what happened in of "Flashes Before Your Eyes". This is what happens to his past-self when they switch places.
In that episode, present-Desmond was conscious in the past and started making changes to his life with future knowledge (or attempted to). Presumably, he switched places with past-Desmond who wound up on the Island, only in that case, Island-Desmond was knocked out from the hatch blast and couldn't interact with anyone, so he just laid there in a heap till Desmond finished time-traveling and returned to wake up naked.
In this case, past-Desmond leaps into Island-Desmond while Island-Desmond is conscious, and therefore he doesn't know where he is or what's going on. I'm assuming that while this is going on, Island-Desmond has gone back into the life of past-Desmond and has consciousness of the future (the snippet with Faraday at Oxford in the preview).
Oh SK8, I wasn't referring to what you said. I agree that spoilers shouldn't be discussed outside of the post they originated. I am just having a bad day..lol

I don't think the guy was saying that you shouldn't read spoilers. Most of us here read spoilers because we're here posting in the spoilers section.
He was just saying that he doesn't get the idea of reading an out-and-out synopsis of the entire show 24 hours before it airs. By responding in this way, you're objecting to his right to have an opinion about your behavior, which is basically an instance of you doing what you're accusing him of doing (dictating how he should act). Essentially, you are saying that you have the right to read an episode synopsis pre-show, but he doesn't have the right to opine that this is nuts in a public forum. Which is a tad hypocritical.
Anyway, I tend to agree, I mean the show is going to be on in 24 hours. Certainly you're free to do whatever you want, but I really don't get the point of reading a synopsis of the show before it airs. Seems to take the punch of the dramatic narrative away. But to each his own.
I think 3d has hit the point quite nicely on the head. time to move on people, and forward!

Similarly, I "don't understand" the self-righteousness of cloaking finger-wagging disapproval as opinion. Especially in lieu of on-topic discussion. *wag wag* Really, could this meta-conversation end on the grounds that it's boring and goes absolutely flipping *nowhere*? :)
My guess: Minkowski's fine. This whole bit is a ruse to convince Desmond that he's dealing with some phenomena (temporary sanity, amnesia, etc.) different from what's actually afoot. Remember, Frank warned Daniel to hang up if Minkowski picked up, and it wasn't that long ago that one of the other freighter folk (Miles?) spoke to George via sat phone. Unless something transpired really incredibly recently, my guess is it's a scheme.

You're making this way more complicated than it is. I don't think anything is being "cloaked". It is an opinion expressing disapproval.
One guy said that reading an episode synopsis was silly, which I happen to agree with, but no one is trying to prevent them from doing it. Yet the other guy still responded over-defensively and sarcastically as if his Constitutional rights were being infringed upon. I guess I haven't received word about where the SWAT Team and the death squads were sent in to prevent him from reading the episode synopses.
As for being off-topic, this is a topic that comes up so often that it's a topic unto itself.

I hope you're wrong because we're already gently wading into "everyone is in on it" tangled conspiracy theory territory with the overall story, and having sub-conspiracies is going to get awfully confusing if it isn't clear immediately what's happening.
Remember, Frank warned Daniel to hang up if Minkowski picked up, and it wasn't that long ago that one of the other freighter folk (Miles?) spoke to George via sat phone. Unless something transpired really incredibly recently, my guess is it's a scheme.
"Recently" is relative. Who knows how much time passed on the freighter since Miles spoke on the satphone.
Personally, I don't understand how knowing what happens in a work can somehow "spoil" the experience of reading or viewing it. I'd rather know the arc of an episode beforehand to better appreciate the content and nuance of the show. If I could, I'd read the scripts of every episode from now to the end of the series.
BTW, the name of this site is LOST SPOILERS. Shouldn't people who don't want detailed info on the show not read it?
And why has no fan made the connection that the Lost mythos is basically a plagarization of the Ong's Hat hyperfiction?
ha ha! you people must not have enough to do...... what a silly argument!
I think Minkowski is under a self-directed type of island detox :)
and Des is next!
maybe minkowski has some connection to the island yet to be revealed?? hoping they show regina in this episode as well. love how shady the freighters are, i wish the breakers in stephen kings dark tower were that creepy. i also believe the theory that pre island desmond pops into chopper desmonds head while chopper desmond pops into, i guess military desmonds head. & if he interacts with faraday, could this be an explanation as to why he is crying in ep. 2, b/c he talked to desmond?
hmmm...looks kinda like Jacob, is Jacob the "man on the boat"...

But the breakers were just supposed to be regular people with psychic ability that got forced into breaking beams. They weren't supposed to be creepy.
I wish the real final villains in The Dark Tower were creepier. What an anticlimactic ending after seven books worth of chasing and trying to stop evil. Although the actual end of the end (epilogue, I guess) is amazing.
3d,
dark tower was disappointing for me. i actually hated the ending and always pictured book 7 beginning (as of reading book 3 when it first came out in like 93 when i was 13) with roland at the tower and each level brought on a flashback (rhea, his mom) and was so pissed about the backstory of the gunslingers (the older ones as well as cuthbert and alain - huge fan favorites) not being told, how rhea met her end, the insane amount of times they go back and forth from the real world to rolands (by like the 7th time they did it, 5th time in book 7 alone i wanted to yell shut up at them for worrying about how they would do it this time) & how stephen king consolidated the 3 main villains into one person. it was his magnum opus that he never, ever talks about anymore. & the day after book 7 came out, the connections link on his darktower.com site (showing and promising that the dt series would tie together links from insomnia, it, black house, etc.) was taken down as if it never existed. the last 3 books read like they were written by him during a ritalin fueled allnighter and as i felt the amount of book in my right hand decrease to almost nothing and him not being at the tower yet. well, i love the first 4 books and the connecting stories (meeting abbadon for the first time reminded me of when the recruiter meets dinky in everythings eventual, very creepy and a very cool story). and the crimson king, the sk uber villain, was just corny - throwing sneetches, huh??? thats the best??? but enough stephen king bashing. i'm glad they've incorporated the best thematics from that story into lost. season 4 rocks and is definitely no "wolves of the calla" :)
3d,
& i know a lot of the loose ends from the dt series are going to be tied up in the dark tower comic book, but it would have been better to answer them in the actual books, me not being a comic book person
heres hoping theres no lost comic book debuting in 2011!
what is the markings on the table next to the red bins it almost looks like the tatoos on the guys arms, did anyone else see that?
