I get a lot of emails from people asking me what I know about Season 4 and why I won't post the information on site. So rather than keep replying with the same thing I thought it would be a good idea to explain how the process works as far as how we obtain spoilers, how and when we post them and why I cannot always post what I know.
Q) How many sources do you have?
A) Currently I have around 10 very good sources who range from people who have read the scripts, worked on the editing/post production, watched the episode work prints and screeners and those who worked on the actual set.
Q) Do you know more than you are posting
A) Yes.
Q) Why then can't you simply post the information
A) When 99% of these really good sources contact me, the first thing they ask for is anonymity to protect their identity. They give me info as a test and when they see I am trustworthy they give me more. All these sources I've had since Season 2 and 3. Obviously if I posted information without their prior approval I would no longer have their trust and they would no longer provide me with information. Running a spoiler site relies totally on good sources and them totally trusting me.
Q) But you posted LostFan108 spoilers!
A) Yes, but that was because a) They were already posted on other sites, albeit shortly and b) LostFan108 wanted them released so I was in no danger of losing them as a source and they were prepared to release them irresponsibly. I tried to release them slowly to minimize impact.
Q) Why do you post just snippets or teasers?
A) Sometimes a source will give me just that, some snippet which they allow me to post, sometimes they give me a whole lot more but provide me with a date that I cannot reveal the info before. For these I try to make the spoilers fun by running polls or little competitions to increase speculation and discussion in the Lost community.
Q) How many episodes do you have spoilers for?
A) Currently we have obtained very detailed information for the first 8 episodes along with a few teasers for later episodes.
Q) Will you reveal the really big spoilers and twists?
A) Yes, I share everything that I am allowed to. All big spoilers will always be behind those "Are you Sure" buttons (like the Insiderscoop/Post Produxtion posts) that give you one final chance to avoid the really big stuff. I know a lot of people don't want to know the really big stuff but enjoy the little clues and snippets such a casting news, episode titles, trailers, set photos etc.
Q) What Spoilers will be hidden behind "Are you Sure" buttons
A) The ONLY spoilers that will be behind are you sure buttons are the full episode synopsis posts and any death related spoiler. All other spoilers will be posted openly. If you don't have the stomach for spoilers I suggest that you don't read this section.
I hope this explains a little more about how spoilers work and if you have any questions please feel free to email me and I will try to answer them.
Oh... And don't worry I get just as frustrated as you when I have info that I cannot release but my sources identity comes first over anything else as they could get into trouble. We should be grateful that they are prepared to send us any info at all.
PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL ME ASKING FOR SPOILERS. THEY WILL BE POSTED HERE AS SOON AS I AM ALLOWED TO RELEASE THEM.

Keamy must be one tough s.o.b.
It's so close!!
Why does Horace Goodspeed show up in this episode?
Whats CHristian Shephard doing in a Locke Centric?
You beat me to it Cane :)
411 and john Terry is in??
but not in 410? WHAT IS GOING ON??!?!
It's very interesting to see all the guest names popping up in this episode. Is Christian gonna be back in Jacob's cabin? Keamy and Omar are still alive after the attack on the barracks. Abaddon, Goodspead, Richard Alpert, has all the makings of a great episode. Wasn't it rumored that Doc was the one that they find washed up on shore at the beach?
What is going on indeed!
From Lostpedia: Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse describe Horace and his companion Olivia as factoring significantly in the future "game plan" for Lost.
Horace I bet will be in the flashback considering he died during the purge. I bet Christian will be seen at Jacob's cabin and Abbadon will show up on the freighter.
Anyone thinking that it is possible that Christian Shepard is Jacob or someone very close to him?
That Has Just Added BIGTIME To My "Goodspeed Is Jacob" Theory.
I Mean Think About It:
*Ben Closed His Eyes, Not Much I Know But Could Be Hinting At Some Sort Of Connection.
*Hes Featuring Heavily In The "Game-Plan"
*And He Actually Looks A Bit Like The Quick Snapshot Of Jacob We Got In TMBTC.
I don't think he is Jacob, but there has to be a connection.
When Christian was seen in Jacob's chair, Jacob himself was busy looking out the window and unwisely giving a big man a terrible scare.
Damn. 16 year old John Locke was a hottie:

@ Surly
That is some genius casting. The guy totally has Terry's eyes. Along with Alex and young Ben, it's a hat-trick for the casting department! :)
That guy looks older than 16 but he does look like Locke (with a lot more hair of course).
I also think that Christian is in Jacob's cabin.
And Keamy is alive haters! The doctor too? Is he still alive while his body is on the island? How crazy would that be.
My guess is that Richard and Goodspeed appear in a flashback.
Very strange cast list. Lots of supposedly "dead" characters on it. Is it a multi-layered FB: Locke's youth plus previous time on the freighter?
Also, no appearances of Daniel, Charlotte or Miles.
Ugh. Paul Edwards has directed some decidly lackluster episodes, and Sarnoff...don't get me started. The last Locke ep she wrote was Further Instructions. Hard not to be pessimistic about this one. Couldn't they have pulled out bigger guns for the second half of the season? There's a lot riding on these episodes, and Locke has degenerated into a character whose writing has been bungled greatly-- he's really only had a couple of great scenes this year, and they haven't been followed through on.
Grumble grumble. Sorry to bitch, but man. Sometimes I just wanna punch TPTB in the head.
Is it possible that Goodspeed is Locke's teacher? The one he has an argument with about not being a scientist?
Goodspeed... wow... he could have been Locke's teacher off-island?
God that is one crazy cast!!!
God that is one crazy cast!!!
Whoa, i bet this one is gonna be even better or like The Constant!
I don’t know if I should believe that Christian is Jacob but I definitely expect him to be one of the big players in this game.
So I’m not surprised that he shows up in Locke’s FB. Remember the scene where Locke woke up after the hatch exploded? Identical to the scene where Jack woke up in the pilot. I always thought that was weird and supposed to mean something. So I still think that Jack and Locke are representing tow different sides that kind of depend on each other. And in the end they will have to work together to save the whole thing.
I also think that Christian’s part in the island mystery thing is the reason why Aaron is special. And I can’t help the feeling that it is part of the reason why Jack is so messed up in the future. Jack is almost afraid of the possibility that there could be something he can’t control. Through 4 seasons we have seen him stubbornly deny that there might exist something supernatural. When he finds out his dad is Mr. Supernatural himself... that would definitely be a deep hit for Jack.
This episode can't come fast enough. I've waited long enough for my Locke-centric and it sounds like a classic :)
Very, very crazy cast list. Guess we can cross omar off the spectacular death list, can't believe it might be alex (unless omar is in a flashback). isn't emily, ben's mom's name or am i getting confused? horace goodspeed is here (more purge backstory?) another appearance by abbadon? jack's dad coming back (definitely agree with those that say that christian is not jacob but is connected - we saw jacks dad in the chair and jacob look out the window the same time, that crossed off the possibility for me) & i don't care who's directing, with 5 episodes encompassing what was supposed to be 8 episodes of the action/payoff part of the season, i could direct the thing and it would be amazing! can't wait for thursday!
Locke have 48 years old
Ben have 42 years old
Ben when he was 10 years old, Locke had 16. Ben went to the island for nearly 10 years, presumably the same time as Horace went to the island; then before going to the island Horace may have been the professor of Locke yes.
This Cast List is VERY IMPORTANT.
1. NO Alex (2 episodes in a row)
2. NONE of the new people (Dan, Miles, Frank and Charlotte)
3. Keamy AND Omar are in it.
4. CHRISTIAN SHEPARD is in it.
5. Alpert, Abaddon and Goodspeed are in it (flashback episode!)
Here's my take.
Keamy and / or The Frieghter's take Alex back with them and Ben has to fight to get her back. They take her as bait. Keamy and Co. Re-appear to kill everyone.
I have no idea how NONE of the new people could be in this, unless they all are together and somewhere else.
Abaddon, Alpert and Goodspeed? My theory.
Alpert and Goodspeed are involved in the flashback, while Abaddon shows up getting off of a helicopter and joining Keamy and Co.
I'm sure Locke see's Christian at the Cabin and MAYBE even Claire has a vision of him.
Clerks-
Frank is in this episode, look at the first name of the guest list :)
I wonder why Frank is not in the main cast. I think he was in more episodes than Miles.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I can't believe this. They gave the only Locke centric episode to Elizabeth Sarnoff and Kyle Pennington!!! WHO THE HELL IS KYLE PENNINGTON! Why couldn't Damon just write it or Drew.
Iceman815
I was just testing you guys ;) swear!
In the casting sides Locke's teacher was named Gellert - a character who appears in the cast list, so it's not Horace Goodspeed.
We've heard from Ryan that Terry O' Quinn and Lance Reddick had been spotted together during filming, so I'm guessing Abbadon will either be an apparition or appear in the flashback somehow.
No idea on Omar and Keamy, but since Doc Ray is around, I would suspect the freighter storyline simply goes back a few days, starting where they left off at the end of Meet Kevin Johnson.
Since I first knew of Jacob, I have always thought that Locke is Jacob or will become Jacob. I felt that that is his fate/destiny to the island and that HE is the reason Oceanic 815 crashed. I also find it somewhat amazing that Hurley can see Jacob and Charlie...I guess that's Hurley's special gift. I'm also betting that Miles can see Jacob and perhaps facilitate some information exchange for Locke.
Oh, and RICHARD is back! SEXY. Perhaps I'll get some extra league points...yeah!
I wouldn't rule out a Miles/Jacob encounter but Locke certainly dosen't need a mediator. It would appear he can hear Jacob quite clearly :)
Interesting. From what I see of the guest list, Christian Shephard will be in the episode, and also little Locke.
I'm curious to see Locke's past as a child, so this should definitely be interesting. And I wonder what we'll be seeing from Christian this time around.
Agree with surly. Sarnoff has proven that she isn't on par with the likes of Drew, Damon, etc.
It's gonna be really hard to go wrong with that guest list. Needs more Faraday and Straume though.
No Faraday?! :[
OMG. Very Nice Cast.
Abbadon , Shepard , Goodspeed.
This could have been the best episode of this season but sarnoff wrote it so i doubt.
By the plot and the guest list, it looks like a very interesting episode, but I'm really afraid about the writing combination of Elizabeth Sarnoff and Kyle Pennington(?) and that is directed by Paul Edwards.
Elizabeth and Paul, both had made good episodes, but not great ones.
P.D: I'm sorry if there are any mistakes my english is pretty bad.
Christian Shephard:
Is probably having a beer & is playing backgammon with Jacob in his cabin.
I don't see Christian as Jacob, but I can see him having a connection to the island or even with Widmore or Mr.Paik.
Horace Goodspeed:
Will appear in Locke's flashback. The only thing I remember about that guy is that he was there in Ben's last episode, in that old classic car when Ben was born.
Matthew Abbadon:
Will appear in Locke's flashback. Great to see him again!!
Richard Alpert:
Be seen at the Temple with the Others.
Frank:
Considering he's the only one out of the 4 frieghters, my guess he is either dropping of Desmond & Sayid back on the island or he is heading back to the frieghter for more recruits.
I just hope & prey that both Keamy & Omar will be dead before the finale.
Yeah, I'm curious about Locke's childhood too, but honestly. Is there anyone that thinks his Sarnoff-penned stint as a pot-farmer is consistent with the "meat-and-potatoes" toy store clerk/home inspector/cubicle jockey we saw in all his other flashbacks? The whole point of his on-Island life is the contrast with his past: that before he crashed he was absolutely not special in any way, shape or form, except in his loneliness and ability to be taken advantage of. He was a total geek who kept everything inside and read about adventure in books, but never lived it himself (at least not after he graduated from the Webeloes). His whole on-island struggle is in his attempt to transform himself into someone special, a hero who actually LIVES the things he only read about before, and hide who he used to be.
Sarnoff proved that she had no comprehension of what an "average" person does or acts like, and she totally bungled what made his story so compelling. I hate to say it, but I'm not optimistic at all about this one anymore. I hope Pennington was brought in to keep her more ridiculous flights of fancy in check. I hope they prove me wrong.
Surely Damon or Carlton review the writing though?
I mean episodes have to remian consistent to the overarcing story so I presume they gave their blessing to it?
I don't know a thing about how this industry works though.
While I agree that Elizabeth has written some duds in the past, she also co-wrote "The Man Behind the Curtain", one of my all-time favorite episodes, and "Meet Kevin Johnson", which was a decent average Lost eppy.
^
Well if she was involved in those two then I have no worries. 'The man behind the curtain' is my favourite episode and 'Meet Kevin Johnson' was a great episode.
She also wrote "Abandoned", which was pretty exciting in its own right, flashback aside.
Hey guys- Remember that it was Sarnoff who wrote The Man Behind The Curtain.
This episode will be great.
She wrote "Two for the Road", this episode us very cool too!
That's it. I got it. Locke was born in the island.
No, really.
omg!!! Christian, Abbadon AND Richard are in this episode!!!! AWESOME!
She also wrote Stranger in a Strange Land. But you're right, when I looked at Lostpedia I didn't catch The Man Behind the Curtain. Fair Enough. I'll quit my bitching til after the episode!
It would be interesting if Christian's ties to the island go way back, and he's the doctor who delivers Emily Locke's child, w/ Alpert and Goodspeed as his cohorts. Wasn't Nestor Carbonell seen filming at the hospital?
yeahhh locke born on the island--makes sense--would further explain his connection with the Island, and why Ben is intimidated by Locke--because he was born on the island and Ben was not.

==========
*cough* Jacob's Cabin *cough*
The surprise is Horace.
Also, Marc Vann is back as the doc yet again. I had no idea he'd be appearing in this many episodes. I love his character, and such difference from the prick he played in CSI :)
I agree with the person that said that the Freighter portion of this episode will take place a few days before the island portion, and that's why we have Keamy, Omar, and Doc.
This episode will start taking place in 1956, is this the earliest we've seen?
Let me take a shot at thsi...
Alpert... flashback and on-island.
Abaddon... freighter.
Doctor... freighter.
Keamy and Omar... freighter.
Captain Gault... freighter.
Horace Goodspeed... flashback.
Christian Shephard... on-island vision
@ Ryan
Yep, Nestor Carbonell was seen at the scene ;)
Someone other than John Terry is listed as a doctor though so I don't think we'll see Christian deliver Locke.
Sarnoff wrote "The Man Behind the Curtain" but with Drew Goddard. Instead this time she is with "kyle pennington"....
Anyway i hope this will be a fantastic episode (maybe the best of this season).
The way I see it, Sarnoff is the kiss of death for this episode. And people have mentioned how she co-wrote with Drew on Man Behind the curtain but come on, that episode is exactly on par with Drew's writing and so above Sarnoff's so I am gonna bet he carried the rains on that one. Does anyone know this "kyle pennington" fellow?
Young Locke is so cute! Not that he's not handsome now :)
Christian is a few years older than Locke, how could he possibly have delivered him?
Locke born on the Island? So why his mother would bother taking him back to US to give for adoption? Unless his first foster family was Horace and Olivia :)
T.L.A. Locke is 55. Probably 50ish in the show.
Christian Shepard is probably a bit younger than John Terry the actor was in '04. Which means he was born in the mid-40s.
He'd be a teenager at best at Locke's birth.
So, I consider that all a non-possibility.
Dude I realise that :) I was being responsive to the guy who made the original suggestion.
What I know is that; Damon in a few weeks ago said (to us) in an interview to be careful about the job of Richard. So I think in this episode we'll find out what the real job of Richard Alpert is, which might be connected to some sort of stuff about CS, Abaddon - but I don't know, that's just a guess though. :)
oops, forgot about the lack of an age gap.
Holy crap, look at all the folks showing up in this episode! Jack's dad, Abaddon and Alpert. This one should be another great one. I have a feeling the rest of the episodes this season are going to be the best run of Lost we have seen yet!
interesting... but remember guys, actors playing their dead bodies show up on the cast list, like NAOMI in the first few eps of the season.
I have a feeling Horace is in the flashback trying to recruit a young John Locke into a fledgling Dharma, but is rebuffed thanks to John's anti-science attitude.
And seeing as we have an ER doc in the episode too, the flashback might skip ahead to just post-fall Locke getting his back looked at by a certain well known SPINAL SURGEON named Christian. (which would make it even more interesting if Locke sees him in Jacob's cabin and recognizes him.)
^
That would be a hell of a twist. Thumbs up :)
Christian! Abaddon! Richard! This is gonna be a world-beater.
Goodspeed will be at the science fair that Locke is supposed to be at (if you've seen the casting calls) and he possibly will be the one to give Locke the test at age 5 (i think the casting call a couple weeks ago said).
I think the Island was after Locke for a long time, and it actually was his fate to come there.
Alpert will also be in the present and in a flash back recruiting young Locke (unsucessfully of course)
OK, we all know Sarnoff can't carry this episode on her own... so let's hope and pray to God that Kyle Pennington is like Drew Goddard on steroids.
