I can't wait :D.
that looks more like a sky one promo. lol
SERIES finale?? its the season finale man.
Whats with the one hour special at the end?
In England we say Series.
"SERIES finale?? its the season finale man."
In the UK, we refer to seasons as 'series'.
OMG! this looks like it is going to be better than i thought...can anyone make out who is grabbing and kissing?
(i have kept myself away from spoilers for the last ep.)
and sun seems so distressed...so sad!
hmm....so Sawyer and Kate are both on the helicopter at some point...interesting. I don't think Sawyer will jump out though I think there won't be enough room and he'll sacrifice himself, vowing to protect the others, and then kiss Kate and ask her to go visit Clementine/Cassidey. Sounds like a good moment.
It looks like Sawyer kissing Kate.
ooo what was that last part?
omg omg so exciting!! can't wait. poor sun. no idea how i will last til season 5.
Wow, in that last shot Locke looks full-on psychotic.
Also, love the fake US accent. Real ones are so ugly, why would anyone wanna fake it?
Oh GOD! Suns face when they leave Jin behind. That's pure terror.
... And that hot, dramatic, wonderful Spectacular Kiss!! Finally we have some more seconds to enjoy before thursday! It seems like Darlton didn't hype it for nothing.
Cant. Wait. Any. Longer!
Why the hell is Jack/Kate/Hurley on the chopper anyway? I understand Sun(being pregnant), aaron(child), and Sayid (extra pilot/mechanical), but why the hell isn't Jin on the chopper?
Why the hell is Jack/Kate/Hurley on the chopper anyway? I understand Sun(being pregnant), aaron(child), and Sayid (extra pilot/mechanical), but why the hell isn't Jin on the chopper?
That's my question as well. Three single men took a place over a family man, i.e. an expectant father. Not the gentlemanly thing to do. And certainly not the leader/hero thing to do either. Poor Sun. I do hope Jin survives. :(
Looks exciting - can't wait till Thursday!
Exactly Kristina. I guess Jin is not on it because he's with Michael trying to prevent the freighter from exploding.
Anyway... I will have to see what happens in the finale before I make my judgement but I'm afraid that I will be furious at the O6 after episode 13 and 14!
When they leave the island they better have good reasons to leaving the rest behind while they go home and celebrate birthdays, gets married and have parties without thinking twice about the ones left behind. The only reason to why some of them seems to wanna go back in their FF:s is not because of guilt but because their own old demons starts to haunt them again (Jacks daddy issues, Hurleys visions) and if we dont get a better explanation in the finale I will consider all members of O6 (except Sun and Aaron) as cowards and traitors. Nothing more, nothing less.

Yeah, I never quite figured out why they do that, but season is refered to as 'series'.
Still trying to figure out what they say for 'series' though :)
Strange promo. I liked it !
The photo with Ben and Locke (with his eyes more than open) is hilarious !!!
Transcript:
Locke: You know that you're here for a reason. Just wait 'til you see what I'm about to do.
Jack: Goodbye John.
The two hour series finale.
Ben: Have a safe journey back.
Kate: So we can go...off the island?
This is it.
Lapidus: Let Go!
The Oceanic 6
Sayid: We're losing fuel.
Rescued.
Jack: Do not go back to the island!
Soooo Sawyer's on the chopper at one point. Interesting.
wait your gonna give priority to some other guy because he has a son oh yeah of course you'd give your life because someone else has a son
mental people
wait your gonna give priority to some other guy because he has a son oh yeah of course
not my son. - nickelback
The chivalrous, or gentlemanly way to proceed in prioritizing in an evacuation situation is:
First: children and women
Second: Family men, i.e. men with dependents
Third: Single men, young before elderly.
@ surly Also, love the fake US accent. Real ones are so ugly, why would anyone wanna fake it?
...that's a lil too harsh lol:)
eh yeah this is still the 19th century sorry everyone for themselves
no one has the right to life more than someone else
Although i do agree with children first the rest yeah right

You do realise ENGLISH originates from ENGLAND?
In this country we say series instead of season, so get over it.
I believe they say the same in Australia, as well. It's silly to think every country says the same thing in the same way. Believe England also calls the trunk of the car a boot. I always think it's interesting the different terms.
In regards to Jin, he's no explosive expert. Wouldn't Sayid be a better candidate to defuse the bomb?
No prob. But what do you call what we call series? Series of Series?? ;)
I don't think they will have the time to execute a proper evacuation plan.
I guess O6 + Sawyer + Lapidus - Sun/Aaron will think that:
- beach folk has been transported to the freighter by boat (the freighter is the rescue vehicle in the minds.). The aim is to reach the freighter.
or
- they can stop at the beach and start the transportation from there by heli+ boat.
or
there won't be any time. The only choice offered is "You stay or go now. no chance of leaving after that"" and each make a choice to go. Sawyer jumps off at the last moment to save others because of fuel leaking.
I wonder what the beach folk will do during the whole Orchid-helicopter action stuff...
We just call a 'series' a TV show. Or program. It's not difficult.
Thanks TLA....you rock...as alwways!
Listen, don't argue over 'series vs season'....British English is what 90% of foreigners learn at school...
And that hot, dramatic, wonderful Spectacular Kiss!!
Ah yes, so hot, dramatic, wonderful and spectacularly memorable that she slept with Jack. LOL That triangle thing is so stupid and unbelievable, but it is fiction so.........
It's looking like a pretty action-packed and exciting episode and man do John and Ben look devishly crazed there or what? Now those two could offer up a kiss that would be incredibly spectacular.
@lost, md
I'm a US citizen myself, from the nasal Midwest...so it's self-hatred. And I take it back, in part: most Southern US accents are lovely.
Thanks Sarah & Dark for the promo.
Is that Ben lurking in the dark @ 19 secs?
Sawyer ends up on the helicopter but ends up elsewhere when the losties arrive on the frieghter.
Can't wait!!
@radzinsky--
Looks like Ben lurking inside a confessional to me. Maybe that's the big game-changer: Ben confesses his sins and joins the Franciscans... or maybe he's more of a Jesuit.
Is the video posted the same as this one?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUonhNQ6CO4
Just checking because I can't see it... :(
Thanks! ;)
Wow, this thread really demonstrates how many people avoided the major spoilers. I'm almost impressed.
can't wait for the finale!
Is there anyway that I can watch this on DailyMotion?
So Ben is letting the 06 go just like that? How convenient.

You do know that you are contradicting yourself, right? She’s been protecting, kissing and sleeping with Sawyer for 3 (!!) seasons now and you are still a jater;)
Let’s face it; Jacks ass is still on the chopper while Sawyer is sacrificing himself by jumping out to save his friends and the woman he loves. They share a spectacular goodbye kiss and the audience will root for them to be reunited again. Just like we are rooting for Jin and Sun and Desmond and Penny to be reunited again even though Sun slept with another man and Penny even got engaged to someone else (!!).
It’s classic romantic storytelling!
I cant decide: Is Jin running towards the helicopter trying to get on it or is he trying to make them hurry to get away from there?
Where is Ben at 00:19???
hatebox
yes be impressed!!!
I am impressed at myself too!
I am such a good girl, I can't believe how good I am....
I am so spoiler free I have to print it on a tee....honestly...
and on Fri morn I'll be here telling you all how it felt!
Just curious, but is Sawyer really sacrificing a lot if he has no desire to leave the island in the first place?
Looks like Jin {& Sun} are running towards the helicopter to try to escape from the freighter that is about to go boom any minute!!
Isn't there a confessional thing at the Temple where Ben cud confess his sins lol Either that or he's lurking in the shadows of the Orchid.
excellent i can't wait !!
does anyone knows if there will be sneak peeks ?
@Elisabetta
"I am so spoiler free I have to print it on a tee....honestly...

XD Yeah, me too! Did you read last year's one? I did so, now I'll be able to compare the situations and answer properly to the ones who don't understand how some other people can enjoy a finale even if they read what's going to happen, I mean, to those who often make generalizations, for example: some of the people discussing at Lostpedia's forum on the subject.
I promise to be honest ;)
But I have an idea of what the results will be ;D
I can't wait for the season finale. :).
Just curious, but is Sawyer really sacrificing a lot if he has no desire to leave the island in the first place? - tj23
The interlude of thinking it might be nice to stay on the island is long over, since they're running for their lives at this point. Moreover, it looks as though Sawyer's going to jump while they're flying over the ocean, from a significant height. He probably has every reason to think the fall will likely kill him, and I suspect it will be clear that we're meant to see it as a heroic and selfless act
I think that it's Jack's free will, that gets those six off the island. He has some STRONG will, and it is clearly STRONGER than island's will at this point. Actually it's his will that saved Sarah and Charly and Rose and couple dousens people on the beach in Pilot and many many more..
He is strong, this Jack.
It's a pity that his will is working in the wrong direction...
I wish he knew how to use his powers, then he could do spectacular things... Maybe he would... :)
I Think That Some Are Going To Get Left On The Freighter And Have To Make Their Way Back To The Island, While Ocean 6 Use The Life Raft To Go Home
Add, This Well It Looks Like They Made It To The Freighter And ReFuel And Started To Leave The Freighter And The Bomb Was About To Explode, So Everyone Who Was On The Frieghter Died,
Didn't think I'd have to do this for all the ignorant people not from UK, but...
English (American)
Episode (Episode)
Series (Season)
[Televison] Show (Series)
"Hello, gentlemen, you know I like Men Behaving Badly, right? Well, I bought the whole show on Amazon yesterday!" ("Yo, homies, I bought the whole series of Friends on DVD.")
"Hello, gentleman, have you seen all of the latest series of X-Factor, yet?" ("Yo, homies, hasn't this season of American Idol been cancelled yet?")
"Hello, gentleman, has Life on Mars wrapped up yet?" "The song or the show?" "The show?" "Yeah, they've remade it in America now." ("Yo, homies, Life on Mars is on!" "The song?" "Nuh, dude, the series.")
Simple enough, really.
Technically, a series is a part of a bigger thing, so Britain has it (technically) right.
"A number of objects or events arranged or coming one after the other in succession." - AMERICAN Heritage Dictionary. So even in your own words, your media use of using series for the whole show is wrong.
In Britain, a series is a number of episodes arranged one after the other in succession.
In America, you could argue that a series "is a number of seasons arranged one afte the other in succession", but with the amount of one-season shows in America, this clearly isn't the case.
I'm afraid Britain has it right with this one, I'm afraid.
Not that it matters. We've integrated well enough with the rest of the world to mostly understand the majority of it's unusual language usage.
Makes it easier to discuss television SHOWs with people from other countries.
I know Sawyer has done a lot of heroic things on the island, so I wasn't meaning that he's not heroic or bashing Sawyer. Unless you read the spoilers or something, I don't think we know for sure that he jumps over the ocean, or thinks he's committing suicide. I just know Sawyer's been adament about not wanting to leave, so in this case it's where he'd rather be. We'll see soon though.
The woman running to the chopper seems like Juliet for me.
I wonder if Lapidus says "let go!" to Sun. [=
Honestly, the only reason I can find for Sawyer to be on that chopper is the fact Kate is there, otherwise, he has nothing to go back to and he left that clear as he tried to convice her to stay too.
As I'm sure he really loves her, maybe that's the reason he jumps later or, he might be doing it to look for Jin, etc...
Of course, again, I'm just making suppositions here... remember how different from the promos things turn out to be. I'm so glad there's not much time left.
I also think Jack, into his condition, has toiled way too much and finally will faint or something like that on the chopper and maybe that's why he has no idea whatsoever of what happened.
Alright than I have 2 questions:
First one is for the Brits: When a certain season for a tv show has ended, you say it's the series finale. Ok cool. When Lost ends in 2010, what will you call the last episode, as we Americans refer to it as the series finale? Will you just call it the final episode? I'd like to think you have a nice name for that too.
Secondly, is the U.S. going to get "The Answers Revealed" special at some point or is it only for over seas peeps?
You do know that you are contradicting yourself, right? She’s been protecting, kissing and sleeping with Sawyer for 3 (!!) seasons now and you are still a jater;)
No, I'd prefer Kate stay behind and Sawyer return to the mainland so I think that really makes me a Jawyer if there is such a thing. Let's see, Kate and Sawyer kissed in Season 1, Jack and Kate kissed in Season 2, Sawyer and Kate kissed and sexed it up in Season 3, Jack and Kate kissed and sexed it up in Season 4, so by your logic I guess you could say Kate has been protecting, kissing and sleeping with Jack for 4 seasons now. Now tell me again how either one of these couples are supposed to be romantic or the least bit believable.
LOL, whatever. I'm not sure how a guy who clearly stated he had no desire to leave the island, left the alleged love of his life behind to go hide in Othersville because he didn't want to leave, is going to be sacrificing himself by staying on the island he never wanted to leave in the first place.
I think that Sayid and Kate meet Jack, Sawyer and Hurley, and with Frank they go to the fregihter on the chopper. Then the freighter is about to explode, so the O6 + Sawyer stay on the chopper, but Sawyer jumps to the ocean; Desmond, Michael, & Jin will be left unclear wether they died or not, because they will show the freighter exploding. That will be analogue to the situation on Des, Eko and Locke in season 3. Pretty much what I see in that promo.
Sawyer on the plane?
He's not one of "Ocean Six".
I can't wait anymore for this season finale
that voice over scared me a bit

We don't really have "finales" in Britain. When it's the last episode of a series (British English, "season finale" in American English), people tend to just refer to it as "The last episode this series", or "The last episode this year".
When it's the big, final last episode either, that's what we call it, or a mix of any other exaggerated adjectives! You call that a series finale.
We don't tend to use the word "finale", merely "last episode ever" if at all or "last episode this series". When it's a big show or one that you follow, you don't really need it rammed down your throats which number episode we are on, so always know when it'll be the last episode, anyway. They rarely make a big deal of it.

Just stream it/download it (I did the former) over the net? Might be harder to find now it's more than a fortnight after it aired, but just try and you'll hit gold at some point.
You do know that you are contradicting yourself, right? She’s been protecting, kissing and sleeping with Sawyer for 3 (!!) seasons now
Kate and Sawyer's relationship has lasted roughly 24 days (lostpedia), 12 of which Kate was off rescuing Jack or on Team Jack. So I wouldn't get too excited by the numbers.
@Mojave
Well, 24 is still more than zero. And 43 minutes of speed-jateing;)
EDIT:
Oceanic_Flax, I thought that you meant "Lost: The Answers", one of the semi-regular recap episodes that DID air towards the end of Season 3, in America too, no less.
That was the one I streamed online.
I have no idea what "The Answers Revealed" is, so sorry if you went off trying to find it online. Though maybe it's what you meant in the first place but just typed it wrong?
That is most definately NOT a fake US accent, it's a British accent, not every accent in the UK is like in Mary Poppins :P
@jojo--It's a fake US accent. The same announcer does all the SkyOne promos, and they all sound like he's imitating the US announcer...badly. Both are pretty silly-sounding.
Sanna
I dont know why you have to argue with everyone the triangle is unrealistic and stupid. I dont hnow why you want sawyer with kate anyways she is a whore.
"We just call a 'series' a TV show. Or program. It's not difficult."
Ok, so let's see if us Americans grasp this correctly. :)
In 2010, when Sky One promos the very last episode of Lost, will it say "THE TV SHOW FINALE" or "THE PROGRAM FINALE" or will they pretend that seasons 1-5 never happened and remain "THE SERIES FINALE"?
I'm just having fun with you guys. :) :)
rowdy, I think you are being a bit harsh with that judgement of Kate. It s not exactly like those Losties have been relaxing in a resort the last 100 days.
Rowdy, I don't think Kate is a whore, but I think he deserves a lot better than her. I'm hoping he falls in love with Claire.
Now that Sawyer has finally shaken off the Sawyer persona he donned to track down Anthony Cooper, and he's starting to come back to the person he always was underneath the pretense, I really think he's ready to move beyond Kate to someone who can treat him decently and put him first.
I think it says it all when Jack was going on about how Sawyer chose to stay on the island and she didn't say one word against the bull Jack was shooting out of his mouth it really said it all.
First off, how can anyone know for sure exactly what happens? Even spoilers have missing scenes, so I think its hard for anyone to judge RIGHT NOW, especially since no one's seen the finale.
This is referring to the whole Jack is an ass vs. Sawyer is a hero debate.
And the TRIANGLE is the worst part of the show. It was ok at first, but now I think the majority of people could care less who Kate ends up with and wish the writers would stop dangling her character around. In all honesty, I hate Sawyer, Jack and Kate whenever it involves the triangle so I wish all three end up separately.
Also if Kate is a whore, than Sawyer with all the women he slept with is a man whore. And Jack has feelings for three woman: his ex wife, Juliet and Kate, so he must be a man whore too.
It's always easy to target the woman as the "whore" though, I guess.
Well, Darlton have everybody talking about the triangle thing, I mean, we're all interested, whether we like it or not, hate it or love it, and that's what I call a great strategy XD
I hope they're also as good at recognizing the perfect time to give an end to it or, even better at keeping it up succesfully...
Being honest, I think they are that good. They have made a great show and they definitely know what they're doing, just be patient :)
"Well, 24 is still more than zero. And 43 minutes of speed-jateing;)"
Sana, I don't want that is turn a ship war but Jate don't happen just in 4x10! Jate began since when Kate cares Jack in Pilot! If you don't agree, you should read the scripts from season 1! Jate is different than skate, we have more interaction scenes than sex! To us, each eye contact, smile, words and this little things are a proof of love! When they think of each other when Jack went to caverns and Kate stayed in the beach; when they kissed each other in "what Kate did"; when Kate looks to Jack and he looks to her in final season 2 or when she ran back Othersville to save him! All that Jate things and many others are specials to Jaters! We have much more than just 1 episode! We have they both since when Kate appeared in the first time on Lost!
Jate and skate have 4 seasons (to me it is Jate 4 and skate 3 and half but I know that skaters will fight then...).
The numbers that Mojave show us are right: "Kate and Sawyer's relationship has lasted roughly 24 days (lostpedia), 12 of which Kate was off rescuing Jack or on Team Jack. So I wouldn't get too excited by the numbers."
It won't be the end of triangle, unfortunately, but Jate has more scenes than skate until now! It is a reality!
In australia we say season final for most shows, but some say series, it depends on what country the show comes form.
IE: American shows say Season, Brtish shows say series. We don't make our own promo's really, just use th ones the country of rigin do, so...
and as for who gets n the chopper, My theory is that they were only suppose to go to the freiter, not all the way home, but something goes wrong and they can only land for a second before taking off, crashing and using a life raft to float to saftey. Bad theory, but exlains why Jin wasn't on the chopper.
For those who think sawyer wants to stay on the island, yes i thought so. But let's look at another aspect, the island turns to be the killing field now. Sawyer might not enjoy it and wants to get off the island as well.
Another question, anybody knows how long jack and kate live together off the island, how brief engagement of them?
I believe jack tries to do his best but things just go wrong and it out of his hand.
I just wanted to point out that people seem to be over stating Sawyer's desire to stay on the island.
He was with the group who was waiting for rescue. Until he heard Charlie's dieing message. Then he decided that he didn't want to leave enough to risk going with the possibly nefarious freighter folk. He wasn't Locke, trying to kill people so he could stay behind. He made the decision that it was safer to stay behind then get rescued by strangers who were up to no good. So please stop acting like Sawyer is so in love with the island that he never wants to leave. That's not the reality that was presented on the show.
That is all, carry on now.
Didn't Sawyer make his case to Kate in Eggtown trying to get her to stay? I believe he was asking her what either of them had to go back to. It seemed in Eggtown that he felt he could be perfectly happy and content sticking around on the island. In the last episode, he asked Jack what was with him and getting off the island.
I don't know, I'm not saying you're wrong, but to me it seemd like they presented a reality of Sawyer not wanting to go back home.
I don't think he hates the island. He's not manic about getting off like Jack. He could probably live happily there if there weren't so many people intent on killing him. I just mean he's not like Locke either. He's not absolutely hell bent on never ever leaving the island. I think it really comes down to the extenuating circumstances. He wanted Kate to stay with him. He wanted a life with her. I think if rescue was an easy breezy affair he would go with her back to the real world. But I think in the finale he's going to realize that to get her off the island, where she wants to be, he has to stay behind. That's sacrifice. Whether or not he hates the island or can be comfortable living there is irrelevant. If he voluntarily separates himself from the woman he loves, the woman he wanted to build a life with, so that she can be happy and safe, that is selfless sacrifice.
I see your point on some things, but I guess for somee of it we'll just have to agree to disagree. No big deal, and we'll find out in a few days how it all goes down.
I was probably being harsh but i still hate how kate dangles between two men. I hate how the writers have made her into "who she picks" and thats her only storyline. The love triangle is stupid anyways.
tj23 said...

I wondered that too, but after the most recent events (like getting almost everyone killed) I do not really think he still wants to stay there.

Same idea. I don't think he really meant to be so selfish and arrogant. He always have everything under control but now the situation got out of his hand.
interesting to see ben on the chopper too

uh, sanna got quoted and 'argued with' first. she was talking about the kiss, and katie brought jack into it unnecessarily. of course she is going to argue back.
sanna - dont worry, we can talk about the kiss over at the skate thread! :)
Will we get any screencaps? [=
Writers could do another spectacular kisses, they could do five spectacular kisses outside the island, and then they would say: "Choose what you want":)))))
Why, why, why, stupid things about triangle is horrible, I believe, that Jack and Kate are Adam and Eve and End!!! I feel it:)
@Caitlin M
Great posts! I totally agree :)
You just said what I've been thinking so far ;D
Is Ben sharing a passionate kiss Locke. Someone screencap please!!!
Great promo but i wish there were sneak peeks for parts 2/3 of the finale. a two week wait and no sneak peeks!?
