Just to let you know that I've just been contacted by LostFan108 again and he has provided me with the main synopsis points for Episode 4.12 Parts 1, 2 and 3.
Tomorrow we will be posting a high level synopsis for 4.12 Part 1 and then sometime either Sunday night or Monday Morning UK time we will post the key highlights from Parts 2 and 3. This will include all the main cliffhangers and talking points, including who the kiss is between, who is in the coffin (It shocked me) and what the Frozen Donkey Wheel is, along with any deaths.
I'm making this post to warn as many of you who don't like the big spoilers to stay clear of this section of the site as well as any other unmoderated message boards as there will certainly be idiots who will post it wildly around the net.
The posts will be done in such a way as to make it difficult for people to copy and paste the text and we will have lots of "Are you Sure" messages.
If you can pass this onto other web sites and message board owners warning them to watch out for potential trolls spreading the spoilers.

Since they're broken up into different parts, I can at least go as far as I want without reading too much. It's much easier to control what you read if you know you can spoil only an hour or two before stopping at the final reveal.

Well, most people think that it's Michael. It wouldn't be shocking if it was him to most people, even people that don't ever read spoilers.
There are also some people that think that it's Ben. I wouldn't be shocked if it was him because I read all of the spoilers and spoiler theories, which have suggested it could be him. And, if it is him, what next? How do the Losties get back to the Island without out him and seeing any less of Michael Emerson next year would be terrible. Some people would be shocked if it was him in the coffin.
If it was anyone other than these two guys, that would shock me. Both of these guys would probably get the reaction that Kate showed, so...who is it? I'd say if I had to choose Michael or Ben based on the shocked comment, I'd say Ben...
Unless it's someone other than these two guys...lol...

I'm going crazy til may 29th - my birthday!! The best present ever: the 4th season finale!! =)
I don't feel comfortable saying whether or not they should be posted...but really, I think that exposing the secrets of the season finale isn't right. A majority of fun on the show is to be shocked. While I look at spoilers often, it's never exactly what happens--maybe gives a scene of a flashback or flashforward, episode centricity, etc...but to give away everything denies those who read of of that "OMGWTF" moment that we all crave. I spoiled myself last year, and it took away the moment when Jack saw Kate at the airport. I'm not doing it again, and I recommend to everyone not to do it either.
I have thought all along that it was either Ben or Locke in the coffin. You have to remember Kate's reaction as if she had zero reason to go. My updated guess would be Faraday as he seems to be the only one that knows how to get to the island and this would upset Jack but leave Kate indifferent.
When I was a kid I used to sneak through the house when my parents were gone and find what they'd hidden for Christmas before they had a chance to wrap them. Presnts that were wrapped got unwrapped so carefully that I would be able to put them back together without knowing...but I always hated the guilt of having to act surprised on Christmas morning more than I enjoyed the thrill of knowing what I got beforehand. It's kinda like that with spoilers. I can't stand having to wait but in the end I know I should avoid stuff like this...
That being said, I'm putting 3-2 odds on myself to spoil the finale...those who don't learn from the past truly are doomed to repeat it!
I remember the shitstorm this exact situation threw up last year. It made funny reading.
Anyway, I hope people don't come here just to complain about it. This is a spoiler section through and through. Not 'minor' spoilers, FULL spoilers, whatever Dark can tell us, he will. This section wasn't created for half measures.

Just re-watched the funeral related scenes in Through the looking glass...and I noticed that at no point is any gender mentioned or alluded to regarding the deceased.

Thanks for the heads up, you are a real asset to Lost fans. Unfortunately by the virtue of your good work I'll have to avoid this place for about two weeks. :-\
I enjoy reading spoilers just because they give pieces of the show to experience when Lost has yet to air. Knowing things doesn't ruin my experience of the show since it's not just the writing that makes it good. The actors do contribute very much and it's interesting and dramatic to see them deliver the lines even if I already know what they're going to say.
That being said, since synopsis points won't be posted until tomorrow I won't read them until the show airs. If there wasn't a two week break between parts 1 and 2 of the finales, I might not read the synopsis points, but this is just too long for me to wait without Lost. I enjoy watching episodes over again once their greater context is revealed and just because I know who the Oceanic 6 are and that Jack survives the island doesn't make it any less dramatic when placed in dangerous situations.
What I really want to know is just who is LostFan108 to acquire such secretive information?
You would really need to have emotes on this site to truley express just how excited I really am for these spoilers!!! :D

I've been reading the theories on it being Ben, so that wouldn't shock me, but it would shock a lot of people if it's Ben...

I was begining to think it was Michael, but now I doubt it's any of the people that have been mentioned (Michael, Ben, Sayid...) And I really don't think it is one of the O6 because I don't think Kate would have reacted like she did ...

i usually like to read spoilers but when it comes time for the finale, that's not the kind of thing you want ruined for you. there are so many cool reveals saved for the finale that I'd rather not know yet although it's so hard to hold off!! I don't mind some hints or general things to expect but not a detailed account of the ep.

I'm going to guess that, in light of her new weird role, Claire is one half of the big kiss (with Miles as the other half perhaps?) Ausiello's comments make me think that the spectacularness of the kiss is in its consequences, not necessarily its participants.

I read everything last year and wished that I had held out. I need a spoiler 12-step program.
Step 1 -- Hi, my name is Chris and I am a spoilerholic.
Nic, Miles is back at the beach. I really think it only makes sense that it's going to be Sawyer/Claire. I think the reason there's such spectacular events that happen is in regards to why none of those bullets hit Sawyer and how Claire survived the house explosion.
And it will complicate the triangle. Since Kate will be off-island all season 5, they're hardly going to have Sawyer be a eunuch pining for her.
As for the island, I think Locke is being tricked by the Dharma people and when he follows the instruction Christian gave him, the island will move back in time and all the Dharma people will be alive and well on the island, while the survivors of 815 will disappear as they didn't exist on the island when Dharma was a faction on the island.
I read last year, and I was sorry I did. But will I be stupid enough to do it again? Of course I will!
I'm fine with relatively small-scale spoilers like who was seen filming where and with whom, who gets the next episode, etc.
But the major stuff? I enjoy watching the show...and a heavily detailed plot spoiler means I can't enjoy my favorite show the way I want to.

kristina, that was my first thought too. If it is shocking to Dark then it must be someone not really thought of as a front runner for being in the coffin. Sayid is the first person that popped into my head.
If the identity of the coffin-dweller 'shocked' Dark, that straight rules out Michael in my opinion. And far from feeling spoiled, this has actually reignited my interest in that particular story :)

Based on my chat with Dark, I believe his plan is to release the details for this week's episode first and then part 2 later.
Later could mean later in the day, later could mean a day or so from now. However, he is sleeping now and what ever the island tells him in his dream tonight will determine what happens tomorrow. :)

The coffin reveal was shocking.....Not everyone's beloved Desmond.....That would be a shock.As I've hypothesized,Ben is the only one that makes perfect sense,Kate looked disinterested and Jack looked despondent as if he lost his way back to the Island.IMO everything else is almost, a letdown.
As for those who don't want to see spoilers,just don't read them.It's as simple as that.I must admit that it's been interesting that Dark hasn't really done full episode reveals this season....it's actually led to some really nice surprises!

Actually, this is not a bad point... because these spoilers are likely to get 'out there' and people who visit darkUFO and not the spoiler section would then be aware that the spoilers are out there.

I don't get it...The site is LOST SPOILERS! Why is anyone even debating whether to post them or not? Why even have a place devoted to Lost spoilers if you're not going to be as spoilerific as you can be?

Actually, I'm a little worried about the wording of Dark's message. Is Dark going to publish *everything* LostFan108 has sent, or just a "high level synopsis" and "key highlights"? I just looked at the obituary from TTLG and the headline says that it was a man found in the loft. I agree that based on Dark being shocked, it's not anyone that's been speculated. Definitely not Michael which was my first guess.
Having been almost 100% certain it was Michael in the coffin, I too think Dark's "shocked" comment rules out that possibility....to the point that it may almost be anticlimactic if it turns out to be.
My distant second choice was Juliet, so I guess I'll have to pick her now, but I hope the writers are able to give that dramatic weight if so...
My original choice, from the finale last year all the way up to "The Economist," was Ben....it could still be him, but I think the show has invested too much in him at this point. If the plot of the final two seasons is Ben Vs Widmore, as all signs point to it being, who would take up Ben's cause in his absence? Unless that was just THIS season's plot...

The person in the coffin is a man. The news reports said the man was from New York but died in Los Angeles. I just watched TTLG again last night.

I can't believe he's back. Seriously. This is awful news.
I mentally narrowed it down to Ben and Sayid and then I thought 'wouldn't Jack and Kate be surprised to learn that Ben had left the island?'. I am of course assuming that only Sayid and Widmore knew that he had. So I'm left with Sayid. There are inconsistencies and the newspaper clipping would have to be disregarded (as it may well be) but I think by and large, they can be explained. The biggest fly in the ointment is Kate's reaction.
It depends on how events unfold, when the reveal actually happens and whether the story can realistically make whoever it is fit all available criteria (Jack's sorrow, Kate's indifference, the neighborhood, the lack of visitors, Desmond's presence, etc.) without making it all seem horribly contrived.
I get the impression Lostfan108 has given this information to Dark only so a search would probably be fruitless. Honestly, after the controversy of last year's finale and TPTB's apparent 'bitterness', I'm surprised the same thing was allowed to happen again. Featuring the same individual no less.
Desmond at the funeral home would point to it being Sayid. I am sure that he bonded with him and despite his working for Ben as an assassin, Desmond is quite loyal. I'm 60% sure on it being Sayid.

I come to this site with the hopes of reading SPOILERS... not FULL EPISODE SYNOPSIS, which are not SPOILERS... if Dark wants to post them I won't complain, because to him perhaps qualifie as spoilers... My guess is....Mr. Tom Friendly. We never get his real last name. Neither friend nor family of Jack, Kate would have nothing to do with him. Seeing the article would shock Jack that he was alive and off the island. This reveals the time displacement between the island and rest of the world. It places Friendly in both places. He dies first off island after dealing with Michael and causing his shock when he is shot by Sawyer as if he didn't understand what went wrong. My timeline may be off but it may not....

Don't want to and don't plan to read the spoilers this year, but.... I hope I can hold out, but it is tempting. Last year I did. I didn't realize how complete and accurate they would be and I don't think I enjoyed the episode quite as much because of it. I think I can make it through tomorrow night, but the last 2 hours are soooo far away.

Kristin sure did say Locke, Sawyer and Jin were alive on the island in the future, but as the coffin scenes take place further into the future than any of the other ffs, that doesn't rule out those guys still being alive on the island in the future, but in the coffin in the further-future. And faith in Kristin makes even less sense than Locke's faith in Ben, IMO.
Maybe I'll pm someone tomorrow after said spoiler is posted and just ask a yes/no question: is it or isn't it. I don't really want to be spoiled on who IS in the coffin, I just want to be reassured about who it ISN'T.

this would be in sync with a lot of what tptb and the media podpeople have suggested in a number of instances: we should not be asking "who," but rather "why"/"how".
and so, if this dead person is both dead and alive and he's from NY, then?

What if it's Alpert? It would be shocking to know that the Island let him die -'cause surely he'd been alive for so long while the Island needed him.
Lately I've been thinking a lot on what egg just said... maybe there's someone we already know to be alive in that coffin, and that makes it so... twisted. It couldn't be an O6 -it would be more media-worthly than it was-, but... what about Sawyer, if not Alpert? And they leave you thinking that he's dead, but Jack's more concerned about this than Kate is.
...and in S5 you get to know that Kate only cared about the "real" (somehow) Sawyer, the one on the island, and not this other one.

Dark has seriously considered this information and whether he should post it or not. At least this year he has a friend he can trust to talk to about this very issue. At the end of the day it is his decision and I gave him my input.
He has ALWAYS posted information responsibly and has always respected his sources confidentiality. He did say he was conflicted about posting this information, but like I mentioned before if he does not post it, then someone else will post it in a manner that will not respect the fans that do not want to know.

Well you are technically right, but none of you really know what goes on behind the scenes. When we are talking about MAJOR spoilers it is not as simple get the info and post it.
By reading the comments should actually give you a little insight in why we question things.
If you were to ask 10 people what they think is a spoiler, I can almost guarantee you that each person would give a different reply.
So as fansites, we need to always be aware of our readers and fanbase.
Simple as that.

Damn, I was hoping this Lost108 guy wouldn't be back this year. I hope Dark releases Part 2 like a day before the episode airs, so I won't be tempted to look at any of it. I've enjoyed not having any episode spoilers lately to temp me to look. The episodes, for me, are so much better not knowing the major points. Anyway, I'm gonna be strong and not check out anything from these final 3 hours, but it would have been nice to not have anything to tempt me. Oh well.

True - I found that funny too. But there is no 'I read small spoilers but this is to big for me' option, otherwise I woulda voted that one.

I see what you're saying, but I think a lot of the 25% were voting saying they wouldn't read Lost108's spoilers, but not avoid everything. I like coming to the Spoiler page to read cast/crew interviews, and watch trailers and sneak peeks, but I don't like to read detailed episode spoilers. So, I think that a lot of people that are saying they will be Spoiler-free 08', are really saying, they will be Lost108 free in 08'.
Not sure if I want to look at the "who's in the coffin" spoiler, but wonder if the person fits with the text in the obit. Is it a man from New York with a teenaged son? I'm wondering if the the obit was a prop or canon.

There is a difference between posting sneak peaks and revealing an author's entire work before it is published for the public viewing. Any LEGITMATE media source reveals maybe one or two cool tibits, and let the ART and PRODUCT do the rest of the talking. This whole idea of "let all the information out in the open and let people decide" crap is so childish. I hate to be a nerd, but you guys are acting like Ben with that type of logic. Trying to make it seem like it is our choice, when it really isn't. You are ruining the writers, actors, and every crew member's work if you reveal EVERY SECRET (which is why people watch the freaking show) before it airs. It was pathethic last year, and it will be pathetic again this year. Dark, LostFan108, and the rest all hide behind their anonymity, but in the public they would be revealed for who they really are: rats.

Dark isn't really anonymous - and he is posting this in a CONTROLLED manner. This actually may help lessen the effect of the spoilers on the internet and prevent people from getting unwittingly spoiled as happened last year.

2 things - I love spoilers. I spoiled myself silly with Lostfan108's finale details last year. This year, I won't do it. I have nothing against reading spoilers, but I felt disappointed that I *knew* every detail of what was gonna happen in TTLG.

Him and Jack were good friends.. and Kate was too.. but she probably ended up hating on him after she found out he was working as an assain for Ben. And Desmond probably visits the funeral after his bonding with Sayid on the freighter. I can totally see Sayid being killed by Widmore or one of his men... or by Ben once he's done using Sayid.

I think it would be a "fantastic kiss" if Sawyer pulled Jack into a liplock while the theme to Brokeback Mountain played in the background. Won't happen but I would fall out of my seat if it did, LOL.

Dark- Thanks for the warning and for segregating the finale synopsis behind "Are you sure?" buttons. That gives fair warning to anyone who wants to avoid being spoiled rotten by mistake. That being said, the hardcore spoiler addicts (such as myself) will be living on your site for the next two weeks, refreshing incessantly and offering bribes. :)

I'm ruling out Ben because of Jack's demeanor. The way he placed his hand on the coffin for a moment gave me a sense he felt a personal connection to the deceased. On a general note, I think it's a great service you're running here and that there's no info you can't get hold of. Only wish you'd had that Grand National spoiler for me as my guess did nothing, although saying that I think yours did OK! Cheers Dark.

I'm a spoilers addicted, so I will certainly read them, but I know that there are so many other fans, who want to be surprised watching the episode.
However I think that the hidden tag could be the best solution for everyone, as it was the last time. Obviously if someone else will pubblish them without warning, it's no DarkUfo's fault.
Now, I'm sure that when I come back from work tonight, I won't find anything, 'cause the ABC will make them remove :(
everything has been said: this is spoilers, take it or leave it. people that can not handle responsibility make me sick. (given we can even talk about responsibility in such a case).
i really like lost. i got to it when season3 was already running, so i could watch complete season1+2 in a marathon :-) i don't know if i would have stuck around if i started from day1.
reasons: sometimes horrible acting, sometimes very tedious dialogues and story telling and sometimes simpy the story is...well...(i liked eko but why did the story with his brother take a good time of the beginning of season3, e.g.?).
to make it short, what i like is simply that there is always something new and quite unexpected, the show is imaginative even though the time-stuff got out of hand. i want to know what happenes next because i am interested in what is behind everything. for me reading it is almost as good as seeing it "performed". could i read season5+6 in script form, i would do it.
in any case, enjoy the finale.

I'm not talking about the 2-Hour Finale here, I'm just talking about tonight's episode. Why would anyone want to read the entire episode synopsis for tonight's episode? It's less then 24 hours away from airing. Dark stated he would only release tonight's episdoe today, not the 2-Hour Final. I'm not trying to knock anyone, I'm just trying to understand why anyone wouldn't want to watch the show new, when it's like 18 hours from airing. It's not a long wait. Just curious here I guess.
I can easily not read the spoilers for tomorrow's episode, but the final two parts is another story.
I was spoiled for last season's finale (although I remember many still had doubts about their accuracies up until the day it aired, so I didn't necessarily see them as being for sure). It didn't ruin a thing. I watched it with my girlfriend who was totally unspoiled, and her OMGWTF excited me. And just the way it was executed excited me. Knowing the big twist didn't really change anything.
So, reading spoilers before an episode doesn't really ruin anything for me. LOST is more than just knowing (or not) what's going to happen. So much is in the execution. To this day, TTLG is one of my favorite episodes, and one I can watch over and over. That's the true measure of good LOST (or anything really) to me...if you can watch it over and over long after the OMGWTF has faded.
I don't know yet if I will be strong enough to not read the spoilers ;), (probably, I won't) but I can't understand why many are so adamant about Dark's decisions to post them: on the other hand, this site is for spoilers and if some of us do not want to read them, just avoid the site these days.

In regards to the coffin, based off the spoilers so far, I guess the possibility of Desmond greatly increases. Perhaps they somehow get Penny on the boat (there were those rumors after all), and they have their big reunion and kiss, only to have Desmond somehow accidentally trigger the bomb, perhaps by accidentally notifying Keamy. Perhaps some get off the island, only to be shifted back in time when they move the island (Rose and Bernard perhaps being Adam and Eve). Some die in the explosion, with perhaps Penny getting Desmond back, only to have him die in the states.
Certainly sounds plausible, but that's my random guess.

Weird thing about "Lostfan108".. hard to believe that's a regular tv-series fan.. I can smell conspiracy right now.. i'm really suggesting that's something is going wrong in whole ABC team, I mean the co-producers and the rest of the plot stuff. Kinda wird that it's so easy to still thing like that..
